Name: Iaa'bis ty Driaten Alamyr
Gender: Female
Colour: Black and White (red ruffed base)
Adult Height: 21'
Adult Length: 80'
Personality: Dedicated, curious, and energetic, Iaa'bis is always first in line for tickets and backstage passes, and will also eagerly offer hers to someone who 'needs it more than she does'.
Abilities: Limited Telepathy (The Stage hears her, as does the Den), Vocal Speech, Teleportation
Sponsored By: The Stage (co-bond)
Sponsoring/Bonding: Shigan (below)

Iaa'bis is certainly a distinct creature. Distinct enough that when The Stage dropped itself into Rapture along with several of the Animal People Players and their dragon friends, a good number of them wondered aloud, where had she come from? "Been here all along, silly!" was her reply. It wasn't particularly a lie, wasn't clearly the truth, but wasn't that what performances were all about? A mixture of reality and fantasy?

When the Checkerboard Ball was a kernel of a thought in the back of The Stage's mind, it was clear that Iaa'bis was either an inspiration or a direct result of that thought - she fit perfectly with the theme after all. Iaa'bis takes her role as event organizer quite seriously but doesn't even think of it as a 'job' or 'duty', more 'the funnest thing she can possibly do'.

No one has ever seen her sleep. But she does, up in the rafters of a specific nice little nook that has a portal to a sunny savannah overhead. That same portal opens on the other side to Planet 20 by the way. Ever since the Zekirans colonized there and brought along dragons that could move between dimensions, The Stage, The End, The Healing Den and many other locales began feature-creeping together... What colony would be complete without a venue for performances? (They built one, of course! With supervision and suggestions provided by numerous off-world entities!) Planet 20 would eagerly welcome such an unusual 'dragon', they're filled with Kin-types as well as draconic protectors. But Iaa'bis won't leave her home on The Stage, and travels with it wherever it leads...

It turned out that this was something another odd companion would enjoy quite a bit. Shigan showed up out of the blue, or more accurately out of the static of the Outside, and simply began 'helping'. Misota may have brought him from his original home, and there's a compelling reason he's around at the Ball! He serves back stage needs, setting up props, moving whole pieces of equipment and banks of lighting or speakers, redecorating in the blink of an eye (which may be why he's so good at just being wherever he needs to be: to him it's all straight from the imagination right to your door). He's not exactly shy but Shigan is not a performer, he hangs with the Theater Kids though, and enjoys all the antics that could possibly come from endless productions.

Dragon

Name: Shigan ("time/hour" - Korean)
Gender: Male
Size/Shoulder/Length: medium 9'3" s / 38' l / 40' ws
Colors: body deep graphite grey with slightly lighter grey markings on hind legs and back/tail; floof charcoal black; wingsails transparent black; horns very black; hooves and baubles shiny chrome; eyes silver-grey
Features: as shown, scaled skin having some baubles on butt/tail; a lot of silky long fur as a mane, and behind legs, along top of tail and a large tuft on the tail; split hooves; feathered wings with transparent primaries; face is deer-horse shaped with baubles on cheeks, large fluffy external ears, two back-pointing and one forward/upward pointing horn
Powers: Winged Flight, Shigan is adept with close-quarters flight even at his size. He can lift a downright shocking amount of weight for his size, however, equitable to about two full cargo containers. He's had to do this more than once but hardly anyone has ever seen him do it, save The Stage itself, as he is the one that works the 'loading dock' and helps move props, costumes, and bits of the stage's actual architecture if need be
Teleportation / Genrehop, because The Stage is where he grew up, he has the ability to somewhat direct his motion as though going behind the scenes virtually anywhere. Time, space, and varied dimensions are basically the same thing to him, they don't exhaust him and they hardly even seem to make him realize he's not IN the same spot he had been; he can take about one cargo container full of whatever with him on these jaunts, so a 'full school bus' or 'a roadie's gear', whatever is suitable to the destination - and in accordance with his other abilities this mass of stuff may appear to be something entirely than what it started out as
Telepathy, Verbal Speech, if you've heard hushed whispers, or the occasional barked and suddenly quiet command during a performance, it might be him. He speaks aloud either direct to one ear, or to an entire auditorium - and vastly prefers the former. His mind is breezy but a bit laden with radio static
Outside Connection, as a set of powers this is seemingly unique. He can see and travel through, communicate via, or otherwise manipulate The Outside. This is exactly what it sounds like - a visual composed of remembered bits that physically does not exist, and is beyond the realm of time as well. This is where Misota exists, and she's got a lovely dragon. That dragon got lonely. And apparently between the two of them they trained Shigan to manipulate the 'matter/antimatter' of the place.
-- He can weaponize it - literally materializing arcane devices or chunks of things and flinging them around
-- Produce a shield of it that looks much more like a migraine halo than anyone wants to admit (though his does not cause any pain!)
-- If he needs to store something, he just stuffs it into that dimension (and often forgets about it until right before showtime); note that this is why sometimes he'll leave with a gigantic mess of boxes, crates, lighting and cables, and show up with a flawless stack of gear labeled in those black and silver cases and snugly tied together with straps... He can also seemingly find 'your' thing - whatever that thing happens to be - generally if he overhears some conversation in the lobby or a show that thing might just show up in your purse or in the pocket you forgot your coat had
-- It protects him from lasting harm, if he's ever dreadfully injured (which has on occasion happened, given back stage and performances often have risky enviornments to work in) he seemingly "fades with sparkly dust" and comes back fine later. It's unclear how long he spends there, while recovering
Parentage: though this dragon is similar to he is not directly related to others with his appearance he is not related to them

Other Info: Where was this boy all along? Well, right here. Who's gonna know? He's like a stage ninja. While his companion Iaa'bis is energetically up front and eager to be in the spotlight, he's almost the entire opposite, and enjoys watching from the shadows back stage, and from back stage he discovered a particularly pretty dragoness right about the same size as him... Sta Turun. And from them, comes a delightful group of Checkerboard Ball dragons!!
