Name: Iaa'bis ty Driaten Alamyr Iaa'bis is certainly a distinct creature. Distinct enough that when The Stage dropped itself into Rapture along with several of the Animal People Players and their dragon friends, a good number of them wondered aloud, where had she come from? "Been here all along, silly!" was her reply. It wasn't particularly a lie, wasn't clearly the truth, but wasn't that what performances were all about? A mixture of reality and fantasy? When the Checkerboard Ball was a kernel of a thought in the back of The Stage's mind, it was clear that Iaa'bis was either an inspiration or a direct result of that thought - she fit perfectly with the theme after all. Iaa'bis takes her role as event organizer quite seriously but doesn't even think of it as a 'job' or 'duty', more 'the funnest thing she can possibly do'. No one has ever seen her sleep. But she does, up in the rafters of a specific nice little nook that has a portal to a sunny savannah overhead. That same portal opens on the other side to Planet 20 by the way. Ever since the Zekirans colonized there and brought along dragons that could move between dimensions, The Stage, The End, The Healing Den and many other locales began feature-creeping together... What colony would be complete without a venue for performances? (They built one, of course! With supervision and suggestions provided by numerous off-world entities!) Planet 20 would eagerly welcome such an unusual 'dragon', they're filled with Kin-types as well as draconic protectors. But Iaa'bis won't leave her home on The Stage, and travels with it wherever it leads... |

It turned out that this was something another odd companion would enjoy quite a bit. Shigan showed up out of the blue, or more accurately out of the static of the Outside, and simply began 'helping'. Misota may have brought him from his original home, and there's a compelling reason he's around at the Ball! He serves back stage needs, setting up props, moving whole pieces of equipment and banks of lighting or speakers, redecorating in the blink of an eye (which may be why he's so good at just being wherever he needs to be: to him it's all straight from the imagination right to your door). He's not exactly shy but Shigan is not a performer, he hangs with the Theater Kids though, and enjoys all the antics that could possibly come from endless productions.
