Meshe, female cheetah-kin

She's easily panicked and hot-headed, as well as sly and glorious. It's easy to understand why this energetic and somewhat dangerous Kin was exiled to Planet Twenty. She's one of the few who actually belong here in terms of "criminal action" if only because she enjoyed damaging Human-space items such as vehicles, windows, and store walls...

Now that she's on Planet Twenty however, she has far more fun and important things to bash. She can kill a large deer with one good swing, and there are others on the Plateau who appreciate the boost when they're hunting together. Meshe arrived while many of the second-generation kits were growing up, and matches some of them in youth.

She has yet to find a partner but since her arrival as a pure-blooded cheetah Kin is welcome by any tribe, she knows she'll have kits of her own at some point. Meshe is pretty certain that she'll want to choose from among the full-blooded Kin, rather than the Zekiran hybrids.

But what she also wants is to find a dragon like the Twelve ride! Though she's smart, she's easily distracted, and often has to be reminded of her studies to keep track of what she's learning.

** 2022 - DIF is not really there any longer, nothing happened with that clutch so I'm going to move her to another place
Deprecated info: Draco's Inferno Weyr is a great place to locate one, and thus she's been brought there to stand for one of the clutches on their sands.**

Meshe is very adept with energy projection. She is known to be able to fling loose objects as far as the eye can see, plus she can add momentum to existing velocities. Since her choice of hunting weapon is the staff, this is of immense use. She can also to a smaller degree suck the energy out of moving objects - reducing the strength of an attack or slowing a creature/object in motion.

A wooden staff, reasonably short but very strong, is her weapon of choice. She enjoys bashing things, swinging it around like a baseball bat - and in fact might be a great ball player... If only she didn't try chasing after the ball once she's hit it...

Dragon

Name: Zyrie
Gender: Female
Size/Shoulder/Length: large 15'2" s
Colors: body red-brown streaked tan with slight mottling in lighter and darker shades ("wood grained" appearance); wingsails faded grey-steel green mottled strongly paler and darker; eyes violet, horns peach, claws grey
Features: Orianz; four legs with strong clawed paws, two large 3 fingered wings with single wrist claw; head is compact and beak-like, with two thick straight back-pointing horns; body and tail unadorned
Powers: Winged Flight, a hefty dragon with very strong wings, not quick in the air but can fly for days with the right winds under her wings. Can lift and carry incredibly heavy items (partly thanks to telekinesis), and doesn't seem to tire if doing heavy work for many hours
Teleportation, not terrific at this, but can move up to 500 meters instinctively, and if she knows a specific area, can move to it if it's within 1000 miles but requires at least a full day of exhausted sleep to recover so hopefully it's a safe spot...
Intelligence, Telepathy, Verbal speech, while Zyrie definitely understands quite a few things spoken in the local tongues (Kin common, Zekiran, English, Draconic) she rarely speaks out loud unless it's important to be heard such as at a work site. She keeps her phrases short and to the point, because even if she knows how to say something more complicated, she is never sure if anyone will understand. She can communicate with her bond Meshe at virtually any distance, and with other telepaths up to 10 miles, non-telepathic minds are difficult for her to sense or pry into so she just leaves them be (not that on Planet 20 there are many who are unable to use psionic speech, she's in a good place for communication)
Telekinesis, very strong Earth Manipulation; these powers seem to be paired, as she uses her tk to help balance and lift things that her paws cannot grasp, keeping them between her forelimbs while moving around in the air, or even getting into the air at all with what seems to be impossibly heavy weights. She can only lift things while very near them, so she's able to hold her paws out and 'hold' a 3 ton chunk of marble from the quarry for instance, but not stand at the quarry's edge and try lifting even a single small stone 20 feet away. However she can use it on specific pieces of stone and ground, she's able to use earth manipulating powers to loosen dirt, unfreeze compacted sand or soil, cause quicksand in large volumes of loose sand or dirt, and the like. She can sense through the ground while all four paws are touching the ground itself, so she'll often just stand still or even lay down at a work site first, to get a good 'magical view' of the area with this power. When she knows there is good ore, beautiful crystals, important gems, or pure stones worth working with, she'll start wiggling the other dirt or stone around them in order to help pry the good bits out
Shapeshifting, though quite weak, Zyrie is able to reinforce her wingsails at will, and while they still look 'the same as ever', this is partly how she manages to lift such incredible weight. Her wings would rip themselves to shreds if she tried to fly with that 3 ton piece of rock, but given how thick and sturdy the skin and sinew is between her wing fingers, it would take a laser or nothing shy of the strongest acid available to pierce the sails. She reinforces them every few months, as they revert to their more natural state slowly, Zyrie will often prepare for a big job a few days in advance, reinforcing her wings, taking a long look at the groundscape, and resting up so that she can actively work on the site and move big things without neeing to pause later
Acid breath weapon and Air manipulation are both quite weak but present genetically and may pass on to offspring with appropriate mates
Parentage: none known, progenitor
Origin: DNS / Mindspace Orianz forum giveaway 2006
Other Info: She absolutely loves it when Meshe helps with her extremely strong arms and back, since Zyrie knows exactly where the weak points of a stone will be, she can instruct on just how much and which direction a hammer and chisel will work - they are going to become known as artists best friends, finding and moving pristine chunks of marble or elegant crystal structures with equal care and ease!
