Mukhai and Mukgo Sl'ak ** 2023 note that for the Furry Festival/Frenzy Mukhai will be replacing Kuroneko formerly from Kjan Liyr Eyr, with gold Lorinyth replaced by another's dragon** Mukhai is a Felisian (Chaytah - cheetah-shifter) and not a true Kin, but she is close enough for comfort. Her ice powers are somewhat weak, but she enjoys using them on those long hot days on the Plateau. Though she uses it rarely, she also has a gift for speed. Cheetahs should be fast after all, and she's a cheetah, right? (She's the least cheetah-like kintype that most of the others have seen, at least in personality, that's for sure.) To accellerate herself requires a bit of concentration, but then she can zip about with the same speed as her Kin friends for at least a little while. Thirdly and least used of her arsenal, is a shadow-majyck fairly common among Felisian folk but ignored in her because, well, she likes to be seen. She stands about 5'3" tall, very small as far as her species tends to go. But her cheetah form is around 4' at the shoulder - much taller than typical. Her human shape is about 5'8" at most, and somewhat chunky. She's just a mess of contradictory parts! Residing on the Plateau, she's given serious thought to just moving across the water to the Zekiran colony, since that's where most of her dragon's friends are. She knows she doesn't quite fit in with the other Kin, but she's not sure that she really wants to reside with a bunch of strangely colored and shaped immortals, either. Rider Mostly, Mukhai is used to the finer things in life, such as ... forks, and toilets. When she first came to Planet Twenty she was kind of shocked. Weapons for her? Well, not really! She will hunt with the other Kin, but prefers vastly to remain with the Zekirans since they're a bit more... cultured. Besides, her hair would just become so ... bloody! If she were to actually kill and eat her prey out there on the plains! (ICK!) |
And on arrival to Planet Twenty, Mukhai's dragon friend Mukgo Sl'ak unveiled herself to the other dragons with a sweet croon. The tiny dragoness is just the right size for her bond, and is very tolerant and approachable. For this reason, Mukhai will probably return to the place of her dragon's birth, Mythacalae, to establish more of these beautiful dragons on Planet Twenty. She knows there are already a couple, not enough though! Mukgo is a quick, silent flier, and enjoys using her white fyre to frost things up before pouncing on her prey. Unlike her bond, Mukgo enjoys getting good and 'into' her meals. Mukhai of course insists that she clean up before nuzzling her... all that guck in her hair? (she is soooo consumed with that hair of hers!) Dragon

"Look! Look what I found!" Mukhai giggled from behind a stone outcrop. If they were going to be out in the wilderness, she might as well have some fun, right? Well she'd apparently found some. She held up a bundle, white silky and shaped like a coccoon. Mukgo turned her eyes toward her bond, and peered closely. What is it? she asked. "I think it's a coccoon," Mukhai asserted. ... I meant what is in it?
"Well I dunno, it hasn't opened yet. Do you think it'd be okay to take it back with us? I mean," the white-haired fel glanced around as though someone would stop her, "it doesn't look like anyone owns it." Then I will not stop you from bringing it along, it has made you happy enough so far, why not. So Mukhai propped herself carefully upon Mukgo's back and they flew home. The dragoness would hunt again later, to satisfy her hunger - she had been stopped mid-chase by her rider's insistant chirping. It didn't take very long before the warm coccoon began to shake itself, from the top to the bottom. Inside there was a yellowish shape, and Mukhai wondered if it was a bug, or a bird, or... something else? Upon exiting its coccoon however, the creature inside was nothing like what Mukhai imagined. "A... canine?" She said and almost backed off. But then she looked closer. "It's not, it's one of those things! An egyptan!" You know you don't have to shout, my rider, I am right here watching. The cub fluffed itself out, and then sat looking directly at Mukhai. Unblinking, he tilted his head. Little feathery-things on his head danced in the warmth of the den. He furled his wings open, four short stubby wings, and all five of his tails began to wag. "He's a cheetah-flavored Egyptan!" Mukhai giggled. "Lookit, he looks just like me!" He hardly looks just like you, Mukgo said, what are you going to do with it? "Him!" Mukhai exclaimed, and the cub barked back at her happily. "Bertitik! Is that a good name for you?" The egyptan barked again, as enthusiastic as the fel. Mukgo rolled her eyes and chuckled to herself while she went off to find food - for herself and her companions... |
As Bertitik grew, so did his vocabulary. He actually could speak in a manner that both dragon and fel could understand, somehow. And he was quite fast - fast enough that he didn't much need to fly even though his wings were now large enough to carry him for short distances. He was much better at cornering with his wings and tails fanning out, than banking in turns in the air. He was rather comedic in the air, actually, since he didn't stop 'running' with his feet! |
Bertitik ran beside his mistress Mukhai, under the shadow of the white dragoness Mukgo, for their daily jaunt. Mukhai realized that in order to keep Bertitik happy and healthy they had to actually exercise. Well, at least it was keeping her in shape too! |
