Ixli Viyusha and Andurin Hyperion
Ixli is an Ishthar engineer, and though it's all but impossible to imagine, this insectoid male .... is a Sanger. At 20 he's been well known to be bisexual, and quite aggressively so when pursuing a partner for the night. However, there's something about his abilities with theory and scientific equipment that proves he's of the Sangerish bent. Given a puzzling item or new object, he'll have it figured out in minutes, his determination and genius never gives up on such things. He's also quite responsible for any of the situations he finds himself in (... like, offspring situations) and does his best to provide for whatever new life - or invention - he's created. He is observant, kind toward children, but he's not a medical or genetic engineer like many of his ilk. He's purely hands-on-metals, wires, chemicals and reactions!
One major difference is that he's quite small in build and height, skinny (lending a faintly stick-insect feel to him on first glance, or when he's wearing more snug clothing), and of course has no hair... His skin is quite dark, his wings a faded green, and he carries himself elegantly.
He is oddly paired up with a dragon that is all but his opposite in mood and beliefs. The conservative, pious and rather shy Andurin Hyperion rarely is seen in social situations with his bond - but they are quite the pair in terms of intellectual discussion. Andurin believes that if something was born natural it ought to stay that way. Ixli of course thinks he can 'improve' on nature with loads of different concoctions, electronics and rigs. Andurin does secretly wish that Ixli would be a little more careful of his feelings, because sometimes they argue to the point of anger.
But at the end of the day, there is something to be said about a partner who will be there for you - Ixli has never hesitated to come to Andurin's aid both physically and mentally, and can never stay mad for too long. Andurin believes that he should support his friend, through thick and thin, that's what friends are for. |
