Baeris drew back her hair and twirled a bit of the raven strands around her long finger. "There's a flurry," she commented to the others in the room. "I expect that we should be sending some dragons to it, of course."

"Of course," Almiron said, smiling. "I'd participate too, but I have a castle to run. I already read that they're looking for new blood."

"Then we'll put out the word that old participants shouldn't expect to sign up." Baeris nodded.

"What's a flurry?" Asked Temih, innocently. Baeris grinned widely.

"It's a flight frenzy, like we have here, only it's a winter theme. The eggs usually hatch right around midwinter, turn's end, or thaw. All the dragons - or most of them anyway," she corrected herself, "are supposed to be white or silver - you know, ice colors."

"I'm not quite used to ice," Temih said, her spotted tail twitched and she held it loosely in her clawed hands. "But I think there are a couple in the Tribes that would benefit from this." The cheetah Kin got a gleam in her eye, "and I need some advice about how to find certain... specific types for a frenzy at the Plateau..."

"I'll certainly be willing to help you on that," Baeris said. "For now, I'll get this out to the Kshau riders and dragons."

She turned to her Vaio and typed briefly, and when the printer nearby stopped whirring several multicolored flitters arrived to carry the "f-mail" to their intended recipients. "I'm going to suggest a few and if they want to share the invitations that's up to them. Have fun," Baeris said, and Almiron and Temih took their paperwork.

Almiron hit the outer worlds, while Temih made her way through the Tribes and some of the older Kshau groups. There would be more than enough entries from the Kshau set to keep everyone happy.

Hocayi of Twelve and One, Planet Twenty

Dragon: Male White Black Enfinth, hatched at Tripaldi Special Clutch Zone, age 3 years

Young rider, young dragon! Neither Enfinth nor Hocayi really has any experience in the flight area, though Enfinth is an expert at moving over low-lying territories, and will probably concentrate on females who fly dangerous weaving courses around trees. Hocayi will only be interested in pairing up with another feline or Kin type.

Istvan of Icarus, Judge/Aspirant Locator

Drak: Female Wind Cephari, hatched at Mi'ihen, about 7 years old

Though originally quite jumpy and unsure of himself in new situation, Izzy has truly taken to the flight and Aspirant Judging aspects of his life. He is still dangerous and sometimes moody, but Cephari is endlessly happy to talk him out of bad moods. Cephari chitters to herself as well as speaking to anyone nearby, and has a penchant for joking at the wrong time. She is a quick, sharp flier, but she tires easily if she's pressed for distance. Izzy is prone to take the "wrong" partners, male or female.

Corona Madera, security rider for Blackstone

Dragon: Male White Ceillidhth, hatched at Dragonwillow, about 5 years old

Though an expert at most forms of security, and very observant, Corona has never participated in a flight - and certainly not one like this. Ceillidhth hopes to catch a big beautiful queenly type, unlike his clutch sister who clearly hopes to catch someone other than him...

Hygron Madera, interior decorator for Blackstone (links above)

Dragon: Female Ice Pink Aluinnth, hatched at Dragonwillow, about 5 years old

Of course they're flying here. If they didn't fly here, dears, where would they go? What would be best for them? This place needs a bit of color, to contrast with the white of the snow. Yes, of course it's beautiful outside. But if you frame the window with garlands just this way? See how much warmer it looks in here? Aluinnth is exactly the right dragon for a fruit like Hygron... And she'll bag a good handsome guy for Hygron. Just you wait.

Yes indeedy. This *is* David Bowie.

Variola, Virus' son and spreader of awful diseases

Dragon: Copper-Rainbow-Ice Male Haersarith, hatched at the Braethas Raug, about 6 years old

This pair has been kicked out of a lot of places, and hope that they can make it just long enough to see what kind of havoc they can cause at Ryslen. They wouldn't dare kill anyone, but they will tend to make whoever they're nearby rather ill. Haersarith is a strong flier, but picky, so he'll choose his partner with a lot of waiting, unless there's just a female that leaps out for him. Vari likes everyone. Male, female, furry, whatever. As long as they don't have a really strong immune system.
