Gender: Female, she/her, bi

Age: 18 at search, 20 currently

Origin: Guild Born, from a small rain-heavy town near the coast, rather like Seattle only in the 1800s and on Pern... Family was scattered since their father was a rider, and she knows of two younger siblings on that side of the family though whether she'll ever meet them is unclear

Height: very tall, over 6', people often remark about how tall she is

Build: rail thin and always looks like she's hungry, cannot gain much weight for whatever reason, and she does hope that she doesn't suddenly bloom out when her metabolism changes later in life; she was never the healthiest of children, but wasn't expected to do hard labor like her mother's kitchen duties

Skin: ruddy reddish-brown, with freckles and moles, and several small scars from daily life

Hair: frizzy, short cut dishwater brown, she keeps it as close to shaved as she can, but it grows fast

Eyes: dark brown, small and intense

Personality: generous and focused, the only thing she really claims as a 'defining trait' is that she wants her alone-time when she's done with work. She keeps to herself and is quite diligent about the records that she is tasked with preserving, and is attentive to the goings-on around her, but doesn't really like participating in them. She'd rather report and record, than be part of the action. As such she's often found to be a little on the rude side, snipping at people if they interrupt her while she's taking a break, or getting in the way of her actual work with small talk or inane chatter around her. She prefers to withdraw from the center of attention should she ever find herself in it, though she isn't 'shy' so much as 'private'. She will give whatever item or knowledge she has to someone who appears to need it, but likewise she doesn't seem to respect 'personal items' - though not a thief she will borrow something and forget to return it, but doesn't complain if asked to give it back

She would love to find a place to hide and just read or re-examine records, and it turned out that after being Searched and Impressing, her own weyr and the records room at Albion are just the place!

History: Brought up to be able to exploit her clear intelligence, Baci devoured any and all reading material she could reach from an early age. She was originally meant to become a sort of court-room reporter, but there were already older scribes in all the available apprentice slots, so she found ways to sit in and continue to take notes. This impressed the scribes enough that they did finally nudge her into a spot while another apprentice was sick, and she never left that post. Baci honed her attentive ears and could spot fidgeting and tics in the assembly, and has always had a good eye for behaviors. Likely, because she wanted to recognize when someone was homing in on her to distract her...

She continued to enjoy her down time and kept reading, and whenever a Harper was around, she would lurk in the back and write down every word and note inflection where she could. In this manner she's done a tremendous service since sometimes those tales go untold, forgotten, or change over time. In fact she noted numerous changes between a specific story that she had been fond of hearing as a child; by the time she was a full apprentice it had undergone a sizeable shift in tone when the rider it spoke of had fallen from grace.

Her work with records and immediate note-taking is well known and she is definitely proud of herself there, but she was Searched before she could become a Journeywoman at this. She did spend a short amount of time in nearby Holds and picked up a few tricks and odd information about things like 'electricity' and 'geothermal heating', though those will only become her focus if the Weyr she's at needs it. But now she has connections to build or design new power supplies and keeps up with her 'pen pal' in that guild.

She was brought to an unusual location, which while rustic certainly seemed very different from any record of a Pernese spot she'd read. But there, two beautiful and obviously-Pernese dragons had a large clutch and there she became a green-rider! The only time she felt truly on the spot and afraid was when they were practicing betweening, but her keen eye and memory for detail scored her an excellent mark in that skill just like any other she'd attempted with her lovely Marikoth. Marikoth enjoys running interference now, when she senses her rider is in need of alone time, this speckled dragoness makes sure she gets it.

Returning to Pern, she was sent to Albion Inferno Weyr. She'd only heard of it faintly, and when she got there she did feel something... change? Well, no matter, it's clear that she is on the fast track to become Albion's Weyr-Scribe, should they require it.
