The Weyr was quite a lot different from her home Hold, and Genna knew that she'd have to get a grip on that before really relaxing into the way of things. Her former best friend berated her and called her terrible things when she was searched, and though Genna knew it was because Hemrie wasn't Searched too, it still hurt.

The other thing she had to get used to was the presence of numerous Whers - though they were hardly the ill-tempered things that lived in the Hold. These were sleek and well-trained, so her fear of them would fade with time.

It would also fade with her impression to Dalruth. The chittering green always had something new to ask, something odd to point out, and always distracted her from her sewing...

But now, she was on her way to Dragonhope to learn true Threadfighting. It would be dangerous, but she steeled herself to this goal. She could embroider her adventures later, too... provided she survived...
