Though Tredeo doesn't have the 'curse' (as she calls it) of Aniz's perfect memory, she does have a unique ability to retain instructions and images - formations and patterns are remarkably easy for her to understand. She in fact dreams about them frequently - which doesn't make her particularly happy. That said, she is a good enough instructor that the Weyrling masters decided it would be best to keep her on as a trainer than send such a brilliantly able tactician out into combat.
