Benngena (Female Ore) and mate/bond Iriarty (Male 'Rough Trade' color-mut)

 

They cannot be separated, this pair of draks. In fact they're never seen apart. Benngena is seemingly more wise and calm than her mate, who is rather wild, too curious for his own good, and appears to lack any good sense whatsoever.

But far from their relationship being one of 'protective mother and young fool' they act as partners in flight and battle very well. Iriarty is obediant only to Benngena, and Benngena won't bother giving any instruction to anyone other than him.

They are rather stand-offish as a pair, showing up only in times of great need or some curiosity about a celebration going on in the Castle. Otherwise they live in the wilderness and keep track of the outlaying regions and warn the castle if anything's on the move. Both of them blend in beautifully with the autumn foliage and grasses before the wet season, and tend to remain out in the grasslands at that time doing a far better job than most of keeping the Nex on the run.

The pair eagerly come flying over when Epelia and her Armada show up. Because in no uncertain terms - Iriarty is a Sanger and they must protect their own. Izzy and Cephari explained the nature of their issue, and keep watch, but more than that they are absolutely fierce against the bigger Nex breed being introduced by Izzy's former 'master'. Iriarty is more than eager to fight, and Benngena must keep him on a short leash, almost literally, to prevent him from going out and just getting himself truly hurt.
