"I like it here!" Prudios said, "and I will not leave!"
Efoshiq sighed, rolled his eyes and leaned on the wall of the castle. "Prudios, we have to leave and go back to Dun Keiba! That's where we're expected!"
"Tell them to come here, I want to keep practisssing our jousssting." The obstinate drak said, all but stomping his foot.
"Well, I can always call them and go myself, if you're so set on staying. You'll never get to see us perform, you know, see me, your Knight, perform in our acrobatic acts... In front of an adoring crowd, cheering and clapping..."
The mud, even though hardly in character for most of his type, paused and tilted his head half a moment before changing his mind.
"Well if that'sss what isss there, I sssuposse we can go."
Efoshiq nodded once, as though simply waiting for the drak to acknowledge the reality of the situation. They were going to head out, but someone stopped them. "I wanted to show you before you left," he said, a young boy who worked in the castle's kitchens. "We found fairy eggs, did you want one?"
While Efoshiq wasn't certain he really needed one, there was never any doubt that the kid would have melted down if he hadn't accepted. He graciously bowed and took the gently trembling egg. It hatched before they left, into a lovely Earth female.
"Sssshe is pretty," Prudios said, and the little bicolored drakkette cooed at him.
"I think she likes you," Efoshiq chuckled, "I'm going to call her Crush, because I think she has a crush on you, Prudi!"
"That isss fine with me," Prudios gave his own chuckle. "Ssshe will remind me of my home, we will come back, right?"
"We sure will, and the rest of my friends will be with us, too."
