Polite as ever, while waiting his turn at the dunes, Yzheie kept his thoughts private. He'd had time to practice and keep limber, but he was also learning things about drak care that he'd hardly imagined before.
Then one day on a warm afternoon, the other Judged and he were called in to the dunes. Not the actual area where the eggs had been laid, that was an honor that very few people, even very few Knights, had had.
The mother brought out her foursome of young, the single female rushing out and choosing her pair. Oddly enough a blue dragon was present, dragon - not drak - and he paired up with one of the males.
The desert drakling was having a great time stalking around the caverns, until he bumped into Yzheie, and grinned up at him toothily. “Ssssorrrry about that. My name’s Neeshaw.”
Yzheie smiled right back. "It's nice to meet you, Neeshaw!" He led the desert colored drak to find the food, and eventually back to the barracks.

Neeshaw and Yzheie stood waiting for their training orders, shortly after the drak was able to stay awake for long periods.
"It says here we are to meet with Ariso and this other desert, Namesy."
"That's what it says all right," said the blond man nearby, gruffly. "Come on, I won't take well to saying the same things over and over for ya."
Over the next few weeks, it would become fairly clear that Namesy was a bit easier to talk to, but Ariso was a no-nonsense instructor. He was the High Knight, and everything he said, Yzheie listened to and made close note of. How to fly, forage, clean up, all those things that in theory one would learn on one's own - but Yzheie found himself really enjoying the challenge of meeting the High Knight's expectations.
Eventually they would learn to Portal, and that would be the time when they'd collect back at Dun Keiba...
