2021 Checkerboard Ball FERILON GENE CHARTS
Note that the general traits are all the same, but the size modifiers and color variation are different per specific combo!
Gene dominance in example: A! > A* > A' > A > a > a' > a* > a! there are other markings such as #, ^, and ~, as well as numbers in sub-groups

Wing Mutations are common to all of these, however if the 'chonky', 'short/long', 'small/large' type descriptors are present in the description, they will appear here too. Only choose one set of genes for your records, only one will be relevant per description from the generator! However - the images are all the same, beyond coloration, so you'll have to use your imagination for those bigger/smaller/hefty versions. Also note that while most of these mutations normally come with health problems or lifespan changes, the Checkerboard Ball Ferilons will not have any issues and will live long, healthy lives with their owners! |

This is where the individual images differ! Take note of whether the ferilon is marked, and what patterns are showing! (I've included pattern notation, but not colors, on the generator.) Note well that there are dozens of other genes between A! and z! and that both Pattern and Colors share the same AQDZ gene notations (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Unique) and that their dominance on this chart is due to their commonality among the species, and not in arbitrary spectrum order. Normally Ferilons have 3 colors plus Eyes, but since there are extra feathers on the 2021 they come with four, two Body and two Fringe colors. Typical 3 color schemes have Fringe markings share the body 2 color, but these don't need to do that. Note that while many of the NYE Ferilons have 'q' glossy white or q* silver listed multiple times on their genes (for the 'all' white or other monochromatic ones) there will be visible artistic variation in the colors of the images to distinguish parts from one another. This has been a reality of cyberpets since they first began. Where it seems it should read a different pattern ('nearly all black', vs 'black-bodied with white wings') those are the same pattern but the coloration itself is the only deciding factor visibly. Highly recommend viewing any of these as well as the main dragons on multiple screens: if one of them looks 'like they don't have any variation' it might be getting washed out by too-bright or too-dark screens. (Between my two, the difference is markedly visible!) |
