While not every week will have an event, there are some sure things that will happen during the course of this game. One is that there *will* be some heavy rains and flooding. Another might be a fire... Who can tell?

The main thing is that events are not controllable by any one in any way. They affect everyone, dragon or rider, crew and observer alike. What if a crew member gets stuck in the tide pool and the waves are coming in? What about a sudden volcanic eruption?

The possibilities are nearly endless - but don't worry. Fate won't destroy the hopes of everyone on the island. The events will only help flesh out the participants stories. If they carry themselves with care and pride, others might look up to them and not vote against them. If they show off cowardice and jealousy, perhaps that might strike against them when the vote comes.
