Celestial Wyrm's Rebellion and Starcourt |
![]() |
The Celestial Wyrm’s Rebellion is the site of the actual uprising against the Gods, a sacred site to all Dragons and their kin. It is a place where other people may also experience a kind of reverence that they otherwise would never see. This island is large, and used to house great Dragon dens – row upon row of what appear to have been cramped, desolate and prison-like cells. These are in ruins today, and have been preserved as they were for these thousands of years for all to remember the fate of those who would enslave Dragon kind. The island is the farthest reach of the Dark Dragon Sea, and on its western shore is the Placid Ocean. The Sea of Shame is a wide, salt-water sea that has hundreds of sunken ships, housing, artifacts and all, from the era of the Rebellion. Some Dragons would prefer that other people not see these things – but they respect the wishes of all who wish to see. Starcourt on the eastern edge of the continent is the home to an odd counterpart to the dark elves on Ravenhill. These near-celestial creatures appeared at the same time as the Ravenhill elves, and are almost diametrically opposite them in color, but hardly in mood. Unapproachable, aloof, and even more silent than the dragonkin who speak with their minds. Starcourt itself is known to have a space-faring landing site, which may be the site where both these peoples arrived. The land there is wild and filled with amazingly good hunting for those brave enough to do it. Clutch Strand is a long and sandy island where plenty of Dragons just emerging from the waters in this area begin their surface lives. Many of them go on to visit the Land of the Red Bones, as well, some becoming adept at earth magic, while others merely dislike the sand and head to more lush areas. Few Humanoids live here, though dragonkin often visit it with their families to see these magical moments. |
