He spoke haltingly and quietly, his English comprehension was strong but his ability to speak without much of an accent had been a problem. English and Latin and Egyptian were quite different when it came to spoken casting. It was uphill work for him to keep his Charms class in the first-rank testing, but he managed.

Prugdush was a very smart boy. With sandy colored hair, big red-brown eyes, and rich brown skin, he often wore traditional robes and disdained Western wear. He also disdained brooms, not for cleaning purposes but for flying on. They were horrible things, he thought. If one was going to fly, it ought to be on a proper carpet, or a flying beast - or even, and he hated to admit it because of his pure-blooded nature, an airplane.

Unlike many of his faith, the Takhenut family were not only devout Muslims, but managed to actually work Wizardry into their lives without, well, getting killed. Plenty of other families would have turned them in to the government had they known, but thankfully they were careful, faithful, and ... sneaky.

Prugdush's affinity toward mixing potions was well known even before he was sent to House Domina. He couldn't get into Hogwarts or one of the other European schools, and if he'd been sent to a local establishment there was too much risk that he'd be seen. So, off he went in his second year, testing high in many difficult to master subjects, but highest in Potion making. He was dedicated to each task he took on, almost so dedicated that he ignored everything around him.

But Zora was able to coax more out of him: once he'd learned enough English, he started tackling the language barrier for labeling potion ingredients, and she made it into a grand exercise for him. Organizing the Potions lab took the better part of his third year! And by that time, he'd learned enough in several other languages to cast charms on things with ease.

He still had a problem with some words, and transformative spells eluded him for that reason. He stayed away from them, prefering to use a potion, alchemical wandless rituals were things he enjoyed. His wand was unusual, it looked like it had been simply snapped from a fig tree - but it was most certainly enchanted with Manticore blood. That was likely why he could speak and understand as many words as he had, with no formal training.

Prugdush wasn't a tall boy, but neither was he as little as some of the other students around. His robes fit right in during special occasions, formal dances and seminars, or times when inspectors would be coming through.

Or, to keep him reasonably warm on days like today, which was another dragonry-preparation day. The winds were strong, but he was used to his hair getting into his eyes. With the gusts above, some of the dragons looked like they would careen out of control at any time, so there was plenty of 'oohing' and 'oh no-ing'. He held his hand over his eyes, the early Winter sun was bright against the cloudy sky.

"Everyone gets a chance," Zora said, startling him a little. "Did you want to go up?"

"Today?" He exclaimed, "in this wind? You must be mad, headmistress!"

She laughed heartily, agreeing with him, the dragons finally settled down and allowed the students to examine them more closely. Some had webbed wings, others feathers, while a couple didn't have wings at all and flew by means of magic alone.

It was to the feathered ones, though, that Prugdush was drawn. They reminded him of angels, he supposed.

Zora asked, "what would you do, if you had a dragon to fly you places?" The students - those who hadn't already, anyway - pondered this or blurted out their answers.

Prugdush finally replied, "I could collect ingredients from all around the world, or deliver potions where they were most needed. My father runs an apothecary, he would be able to supply distant villages with things more easily."

Some didn't have such broad or generous ideas, some just wanted to play dragon-quidditch, or attend concerts or get attention. That was fine, they'd be able to do that as well as something more grand, Zora assured them.

"I've heard of a place, their dragons are quite special, coming back from the brink of extinction," she told Prugdush. "It's a foreign planet, Moonsong Glade."

"Will I have to learn another language again?" Prugdush asked, and Zora only laughed. He packed up his few belongings, and wondered: how would he pray, exactly, if he was on another planet?

Prugdush enjoyed his time at Moonsong, though was a little distressed that there weren't more people. Well, perhaps once he and his amazing dragon came home, there would be others to follow!

Name: Risrt'lee
Gender: Male
Color: Copper
Size: 11' at shoulder
Abilities: Coppers are difficult to tire. They can run or fly long distances at a steady pace without being winded
Parents: Violet Sheya'lee x Silver Ubury'polr

By the time Risrt'lee was ready to fly, it was time to come back to House Domina. Though there would be plenty of learning still available at the Glade, Prudgush's instructors wanted him back so they could continue his education too! It was of immense relief that Prugdush learned to fly over familiar grounds. Grounds that were magically enchanted to bounce or comfortably envelop anyone that fell too hard!
