Name: Patience Moore Gender: Female, straight Age/DOB: ~20, 20xx (unknown exact birth date) Origin: Repurposed Earth, AAEC Family: Mother Jill, father Paxton, numerous half-siblings all over the place Other: is quite the catch, if you are fireproof... Height: 5'10" Weight: 155, balanced, nicely padded but definitely more muscular than she lets on Hair: darkly brick-red, copper overtones in sunlight, thick and straight Eyes: pale icy blue, large Appearance: light skinned with a peaches-and-cream complexion that blushes more than freckles after sunlight; though she looks very round and soft she tends to hold herself with confidence and moves quickly once she knows what she wants; her voice can be very low and husky, and turns extremely scary if she really wants it to Icarus Processing: oh helllll no. Jill and her husband Rex had two burning children and that was enough to know that even af their level of genetic potential it would be very dangerous to boost it later, and Paxton was treated already, so this daughter of theirs was already on the 'check first' list. Though Patience has not had the processing, it still has effects inherited thanks to Paxton, which include an increase in durability and limberness, slightly lighter weight for her height and build, and a modest increase in strength. It definitely increased her Vortal channeling ability but her power levels are already on par with the strongest of Paxton's children without any boosting. She did undergo a bit of skill processing to help control any errant and too-strong power use. However she was allowed to grow up with her powers, rather than skipping any important moments to help her learn that control. Her stepfather Rex's presence in her life definitely helped her learn as well, since he's a more overt fire-controller. |

Genetic Abilities: With Paxton as her father it was an absolute sure bet that she'd be very strongly gifted, but it wasn't until she was around 3 - as they were deciding not to put her in the Icarus process - that anyone knew quite how strong. She glowed like all of Jill's children did, from birth, but as she grew up a bit that glowing could turn an amazing array of colors, and people did notice that sometimes it looked like no light at all, but was warm - her ability to manipulate 'light' extends into both the infrared and ultraviolet spectrums, and probably well beyond both those. She can produce actual fire, but it's often a side effect when she increases the ambient temperature with her moods and 'invisible' heat-light. She's a very strong empath, thankfully, and because of that she knows when she's scaring or hurting people, and unlike her father she tends toward the 'I don't want to harm my audience' side of it. Her empathic powers allow her to discern moods of individuals as well as groups at up to 100 meters away, though she does tend to enjoy being around smaller packs of people up close, than big crowds, and sometimes she needs down time after being around too many. She can manipulate the moods of up to 6 people at a time nearby (under 20 meters), and does so gradually and gently. She can and will stop an angry or distraught individual from doing anything drastic, either to themselves or to others, abruptly and with force if need be. But Patience prefers to live up to her name and nudge rather than yank emotions. This also comes with a strong psionic suite of telepathy and aura sensing, she sees the Vortal presence of strong psionics nearby and can always discern her blood relatives (including splices even distant ones) by their connected web of Vortessence. Telepathically she can speak with any Vortal mind regardless of species at up to 3 miles, and ping her relatives at 10. She can also speak mentally with non-Vortal minds of intelligent creatures but only at very close range, around 50 meters at most. Her Vortal voice is not as smooth and soft as one might like: she is Alma Wade's granddaughter after all, and that power comes with a depth and strength that cannot be denied. The other aspect of her ancestry is that she is able to teleport - a very rare gift even among the Pantheon's powerful children. Patience moves between spaces with a peacock-feather-light style of Vortal energy. Within 500 meters she can zip around, every 10 seconds or so, wearing herself out after around ten such jaunts. But closer range, under 20 meters, not only can she do this rapidly (about once every 2 seconds) but up to twenty times in short order before needing to rest. However at that close range the visual and Vortally-obvious remnants of this power linger as a sort of charred shape, made of those same peacock-looking feathers, until it crumbles into 'dust' - only visible to those with extremely keen Vortal vision, and only visible for a few minutes at most. She somehow covers her Vortal tracks in this manner. She cannot take anyone else with her on these jaunts but can carry about half her weight in gear along.
Skills or Profession: With a decent amount of traditionally-learned practical skill in dealing with life as a refugee in a post-Combine world, Patience has also studied psychology and sociology, with a strong dash of entertainment and showmanship. Even from a young age Patience lived up to her name, playing with the 'normies' among the refugee children, but also understanding how their needs differed from the Pantheon's kids. Since she could produce warmth and light she was often the one to lead exploration groups as a kid, and being able to teleport out and back to help if they got lost. Like her mother she does enjoy keeping groups entertained and distracted, and will continue to do this regardless of the outcome of her travels to other worlds. |

Personality: Kind and generous, patient and calm, for the most part, Patience lives up to her name, but definitely has a strength to her character that's undeniable. She is charismatic but doesn't like the spotlight unless she herself is creating it. She will fiercely protect those she loves and is entrusted to guard, particularly children, and has been known to microwave Combine creatures or dangerous animals if they come too close.
Events or History: Though Jill and Pax 'experimented' as teens, it was very clear that after Rex went through all that effort to actually propose and be the dutiful husband and father, any other partners for Jill were to be spliced. Jill did carry and raise this daughter with more ease than she expected of such a powerful sire. Patience remained at the Black Mesa facility rather than the Enrichment Center once her assessments and skill downloads were done, and proved to be a strong friend to the more mundane refugee kids. For that reason she was among the later waves of arrivals to the Rookery dimension. She isn't envious or fussed that her siblings found dragons long before she has, but she also knows that being selected to attend an off-world hatching rather than having dragons come to her is going to be quite fun! Kyanos certainly is a... different place than she's used to. But with three amazing clutches on the roster Patience hopes that she'll be found by just the right dragon to show off at home.
