Appearance: brown skinned, apparently takes after his mother quite strongly with a broad nose and overall look; enjoys the 'farm hand' look, and since he does work with machines all day he is often casually sweaty, or greased up, but almost always has the scent of machine oil or ozone on him

Genetic Abilities: though he doesn't have much in the way of overt Vortal communication skills, he is quite adept with machinery and technology, both things he likes to fiddle with manually as well as give nudges with his mind. From complex computer parts to full on hydroelectric dam generators, he can figure out what goes where, and what's gone wrong when it's broken. Though he can't 'magically' fix things with a wave of his hand, apparently broken devices seem to work just fine when he's around, he can take a completely broken TV set and make it work... for a time. He does have to go in and actually fix it eventually. The range on any of his abilities is around 50 meters, and touching any given device will tell him everything about it, a form of psychometry that only extends to the actual functionality, and not the 'Vortal imprint memories' of it.

Icarus Processing: Yes, at the age of (barely) 9, this process improved his strength and durability dramatically, he's around 3x stronger than normal, and can take a cannon ball to the gut without really getting winded. His sense of touch is also quite strong, and his fingers are very nimble.

Skills or Profession: He was provided some amount of skill downloads with the Icarus processing, which include more formal electronics and mechanical engineering than just wandering around a farmstead or mansion might allow. He easily recognizes tools and equipment, as well as devices, parts, and even some degree of raw materials. He can also recognize parts or items by touch alone, not even using his Vortal ability or looking at it. Obviously this lends itself to his 'profession' of repair man and tinker,
