Name: Cave Johnson Gender: Male, straight Age/DOB: Unknown, possibly born in the late-1910s but has been cloned and also may be from another dimension entirely, so.. there's that. Appears to be in his 30s or 40s. Origin: Unknown, as this Cave is certainly not local, since he died in the 1980s; Probably either a dual-inhabited body, belonging to the cloned and Icarus treated Repurposed Earth Cave, and occasionally possessed by Dimension X's Cave; Complicating all of that, is that now there's a known third party, Aperturth's Cave, and we don't even know whether he's alive or ... somewhere else... Family: Technically 'til death do us part' parted him and Caroline years ago, though occasionally he still gives the current incarnation a bit of a hard time, since they were meant to be husband and wife... No known children, however Repurposed Cave's DNA was used for a number of the ELLs and other projects, so he has spliced descendants out there among the Repurposed world. Other: As stated, this Cave is not only cloned (in the 70s before it was actually a solid practice for Armacham), but may be several different dimensions worth at once. Honestly? No one even really notices, because in any dimension at all, Cave Johnson is fucking insane. Which direction that insanity takes is absolutely up for grabs, so no one even cares which it is. As long as he's behaving himself in some way... Height: 6'0, around 6'2" in the Icarus suit below Weight: 130* Icarus treatment has caused his weight to be reduced, though he's still of a long, slender build, and always looks rather taller than he really is, in person Hair: Dusty blond, ticked with grey here and there, slightly pattern bald with a receeding forehead, though that's about as far as it'll go; tends to wear large mutton-chop sideburns, the 70s were a good time for his facial hair Eyes: Varies, in some dimensions, he has pale blue or brown eyes, others they are quite dark brown, the body here has been created with the dark-brown version and they've gone a bit lava-red-black in fact. Appearance: Light skinned with plenty of stubble, a long face, often with an entirely crazy smile or glint in his eye, likes wearing casual-jacket-day outfits, turtlenecks, and vests when he needs to be 'human', but also can hardly be parted from the Icarus armor, because that allows him to become invisible and quite a lot more dangerous. |

Genetic Abilities: Though originally born without overt Vortal power, Cave has always been a bit on the 'connecting unrelated dots' side, and with Icarus treatment this expanded. He has quite a bit of ability with machinery and code, to the point that for a time he considered (at the nudging of Keenan) becoming entirely code himself. He can communicate through or with any connected electrical device, usually viewing things through any camera within around a 100 meter radius. As a bit of a poltergeist type, if a machine is nearby that has moving parts controlled by a computer, he can cause it to move, but not really to do much more than it's already capable of doing. Starting and stopping machines, turning on lights, etc, those are his 'fun prank' type powers. But he can also, with the aid of that Icarus suit of his, go invisible and become quite dangerously able to climb walls; activate virtually any electric circuit - he can jolt humans or Vorts, anything with a small current; short out devices or overload power supplies It seems that the Dimension X version however, can also dimension hop, teleport on his own without mechanical aid, and possess sentient beings. Thankfully he tends to remain with this version of Cave's body, for that. |

Icarus Processing: Yes, this cloned body was given the earliest form of the Icarus processing while still being grown to adulthood, which at that time did not also come with downloaded skills - he's since done that for himself anyway. It lightened and strengthened bones and tendons, gave him muscular strength about 1.5x that of normal, but also increased his durability by around 3x, and oddly enough seems to have given him a flexibility that most humans don't have: he can squeeze through things no bigger than his head, without pain, and without damage. If he's wearing the Icarus suit, however, the size of whatever he's trying to fit through must be able to accommodate the suit armor itself. That has absolutely not stopped him. This has served to make 'the cloned Repurposed Earth's' Cave vulnerable to Dimension X's, however, as he wouldn't have been able to even inhabit a body long-term if it wasn't his own. |

Skills or Profession: Cave is an extremely adept 'ideas man'. That said, his ideas are usually absolutely off the wall, improbable, impossible, or just plain stupid. He does 'throw science at the wall to see what sticks', and while he has had a few winners, most of the things found in the Enrichment Centers (where Armacham is not involved) will definitely kill you long before they gather any useful information. He is however also a great salesman, perhaps because of the force with which he pitches these things. In his youth he discovered a talent for introducing himself and asserting how useful whatever it was he had could be for the person on the other side of that screen door... he can sales-pitch nearly anything and make it sound at the very least fun. In practice, at Aperture, he spent money like it was going out of style, but also he is able to adapt to new technology very quickly, all but forgetting prior versions of things that didn't work so well. In the current world, all of these things serve him not at all, so he's had to become a lot more physical and energetic about anything. He can climb walls, dammit! That's worth something these days! He's unafraid to involve himself deeply in nutball schemes, including physical infiltration or dangerous fights with much larger enemies. Being as 'virtually indestructable' as he is (he's not indestructable) he challenges Combine, he's a taunter and certainly a focal point - and other people can exploit that quite easily while he's off making them chase after him, they can go rescue people or break into locations without notice. Whether he knows they're doing this or not, hasn't seemed to matter at all to him.
Personality: As above: Cave is Crazy. Pretty much nuts. Everything he thinks of can be considered insane, until it's proven to be useful, at which point it's still insane but functional. He's aggressive, probably much too aggressive for his own good. He dramatically forgets very important things, rather quickly after learning them, but doesn't much care. He's always considered himself the most important thing in any room, and woe to those who may disagree. The one exception has always been Caroline, but then again he also considered her expendable physically once she could be put into a computer... The thing is he doesn't really seem all that self-important, he just acts as though he is. He is not a megalomaniac, he's just so focused on 'getting things done' it doesn't matter what those things are.
Events or History: As stated, this Cave is a mixture of several dimensions worth, so their histories are messy at best, and confusing at worst. Started as a salesman, ended as ... this. Has attempted to murder military commanders using mercury-laced shower curtains as gifts, poisoned himself with that mercury, tried using moon dust to make portal surfaces - and didn't realize that it was actually just salt, from the mines that he built Aperture in (thanks to Keenan moving funding away from that nonsense before it got completely out of control)(though whose universe that happens in is anyone's guess). Died. Was cloned, came back nuttier and more powerfully Vortal than ever. Put in storage by Keenan on the Repurposed dimension, and escaped that storage with Alma Wade, until he willingly came back since she was crazier than him... Mentored Martin while in stasis, almost fused with the computers in the EC there, dimension hopped, did some things with aliens and came back to find even more of them invading. Thankfully can focus on that pretty well. What Dimension X's Cave did in his life, no one knows nor wants to know -but he's actually a psychic energy and not even a body, so there's that. Whether that happened because that's their world and its effect, or because of some experiment he did on himself, no one will even ask, nor know to do so. |

Dragon(s): note that below Savage is a very dangerous dragon indeed, and Savage is pretty damn dangerous as he is. Name: Savage It's unclear whether Cave is 'saving' Savage, or if he's joining in with his 'fun', because at times it seems like Cave... isn't the same kinder-gentler 'tamed' one that Repurposed Keenan knows. It may be that the Other Cave, the one who accidentally burst in from Ruby's dimension, has somehow taken over or joined up with this one, but since they both are Icarus treated (or similar) they have very strong Psychic powers, and thus are able to do a great many things that they hadn't before. For his part, Savage likes the direction that this chaotic man wants to take, though he thinks maybe, since there's an enemy to be fought here, perhaps he might be 'being saved' after all. What happens when they run out of Citadels to burn? What happens when they have destroyed all the Advisors and Striders? ... Maybe there will be less fighting, and more healing. He has not killed or eaten another dragon since arriving, which is good. He has however developed a bit of a taste for Combine Civil Protection or those other armored Synths, they're crunchy. |

Name: GlaDOS Gender: Female Size/Shoulder/Length: Medium-Large 12' s / 53' l / 110' ws Colors: body white with pale blue tints on face, limbs, tail tip; belly armor steel blue reflective, back and limb armor cobalt blue; horns, spines, claws black-steel blue; wingsails 'screen' blue from sky to steel with lightning yellow, actively display visual images; eyes and firescales burn bright orange-yellow circuitry Features: Sort of Skywing, it's entirely possible that this dragon is robotic, but she does seem fleshy enough to pass; four strong legs with heavy curved claws 5 on fore, 4 with heel claw hind; two 'leathery' wings with 4 visible fingers, strong wrist thumb, and elbow strut all with long curved claws; wingsails are likely synthetic as they display a constant stream of images that flash and can be quite telling of her mood; skin is scaled with flexible armor on both belly and back from head to tail tip, piping scales between body and armor, entire spine from head to tail tip has triangular spines; head is long with sharp nose and jaw horns, prominent eye ridges, external ears, and two spiraled back pointing horns; areas between armor plates glow very strongly of 'circuit electricity' and are always pulsing with energy Powers: Winged Flight, she's able to not just walk freely now but fly, and fly she does. With gusto, and at any angle, upside down, vertically, whatever orientation there can be, she's got it covered. She tends to bob and weave slightly even if on a straight path, and isn't afraid to suddenly change direction mid-flight around sharp corners or into extremely narrow areas. She has absolutely no trouble flying in darkness or mechanically dangerous areas such as industrial buildings, and can fit into surprisingly small spots even at full speed somehow. While she can carry a decent amount of weight she will constantly insult anyone or anything put on her back, anyone except Cave. She has nothing but praise for him. Communication, oh GlaDOS can speak all right. In a strange mixture of mechanical monotone and a cheerful if vapid-sounding feminine voice, nothing like a dragon from Pyrrha in the slightest, it's possible that her voice is mechanical. She can speak any human tongue, understand code and Combine 'speech', cannot speak but recognizes that Vortigese is a thing that exists, but entirely lacks 'data entries' on Draconic - again seeming that this dragon's body has been completely rebuilt, and whatever personality was inhabiting it before she got to it has been destroyed. GlaDOS knows how to insult people in their native language, and does so a lot. A lot. Another aspect of her communication ability, however, is that she can 'co-locate' her mind with security systems. Generally her own facility's, but if there are Combine scanners, human made visuals or heat sensors, anything that has a power supply she can tap into, can become her eyes and ears. Thankfully Combine scanners often burn out shortly after she accesses them, and Cave right now just isn't interested in figuring out how to 'fix' them so she can have permanent access to dozens of the damnable things... She also can 'house' herself back in her original (well, rebuilt, probably) body at any of the Aperture facilities where it exists. To the point of pushing out any temporarily annoyingly 'nice' version of GlaDOS (GLADOS, GLaDOS, Gladdys, whatever world's version) and soaking up any information she can before being pushed out. Her wingsails also are indeed synthetic screens, and though she could easily learn how to control them to allow her more stealth or camouflage ability, she prefers to just let them run that endless stream of video, images, or static from whenever she's searching memories for something. It can be disorienting to watch them, so she likes that. Electric Breath and Control, rather than having access to brightly burning fire, as her 'firescales' are electric, it seems that her breath weapon is also a blast of raw electric energy. She can control nearby electrical powered devices, and with a bit of concentration activate or deactivate weapons systems, security, even powered doors or devices. She's more like an electrical shortage on the move, than a poltergeist, but the effects are very similar to walking through a spooky corridor as the lights flicker above. The cirtuitry on her body also hums with power. She can touch a metal object and electrify it, either shorting it out eventually, or burning its circuits to feed her own power supply. Her breath weapon is short-ranged, effective around 25 meters at most, and can fry nearly any living thing to a crisp at full strength. She prefers, however, to not use her full force blast unless it's against something actively trying to kill her. Otherwise, she likes to see things 'dance', jolting them enough to cause anything from trembling to comedic - and often fatal - seizures. She can fry anything within 10 meters of her head with this power, if it's electric it's done for. Parentage: Whatever Skywing this used to be when she got to the Rookery world, is long gone. Her mind is wiped, and her body's been reinhabited after 'upgrades'. Origin: Adopted from HufflepuffHannah on deviantart, moodboard suggestion, Wings of Fire (c) Tui Sutherland. Other Info: This is actual-Cave's work, not Dimension X's work, but they both admit that GlaDOS here is a right fine piece of dragon. Her personality suits both of them, almost toggling between completely ruthless and remarkably scientific cheer. Thing is, she knows that Caroline is 'out there' now - in a newly reformed clone body and with draconic companions all her own. Maybe she was jealous. That Caroline got the benefit of Keenan's mental conditioning, removal of the 'bad parts'... the memories that made GlaDOS what she is - a terrifying and efficient 'testing' administrator. They used to be the same person. Sort of. Pushed aside of course, Caroline was nearly forgotten. Now she's ... what, a competitor? Well, she can have that pest Keenan, GlaDOS has Cave, and he's much, much better. Besides, once they're renovating the Enrichment Center here on the Rookery... They have a cave. Cave's Cave. heh. hehehahahahaahahAHAHAAAAHAHAH! |
