Name: Vish (left) and Kesh (right) Singh

Gender: Male, sexuality undetermined, possibly asexual while alone, but more likely extremely pansexual once they get involved with real people again.

Age/DOB: Apparent age 24, chronological age 12 / 2000?

Origin: Medical facilities in City 8 somewhere in India / Combine Ruled Earth (neither Rookery nor Repurposed)

Family: father Dr. Viyan Singh, unknown mother, both deceased, possibly other cell samples remaining at facility

Other: They are clones, not brothers, but remain 'family' as such

Height: 5'9

Weight: 180, muscular but not toned, not strong, if they decided to start hitting the gym, they would both become extremely well-muscled, it's certainly part of their genetic potential

Hair: black, Vish keeps his slightly shorter to top of neck, while Kesh often lets his grow to the top of his shoulders, heavy and thick, with strong widows peak

Eyes: yellow, an amber shade, usually under 'concerned' brows that are reasonably heavy

Appearance: red-brown, dark skin in both cases, with tattoos that line up, they're both absolutely spotless as much as they can be in their situation. Have soft, quiet, low pitched voices. When speaking English they have a strong Hindi accent, however they can get excitable and speak animatedly in their native tongue.

Their 'era' is that of a post-Combine takeover, but their world setting is different from either the Rookery or the Repurposed Earths that others come from. They have been discovered and brought to this world, since it's clear they will not have much effect on the 'Gordonless world' they live on natively.

Originally created for the Half Life RPG that didn't get very far online. And yes, they're analogs of Havish and Keshtel of Zekira, their father Viyan Sengihr there would be proud to have twins...

Genetic Abilities: Enhancements/Tech: if x-rayed, the ‘brothers' have obvious areas where their bodies have connections and outlets for Combine technology to be inserted. However, these were never used, and include a brain socket which they have the potential to use to hook themselves together or even route through a Combine computer system. They don't really care much for the idea of plugging things into themselves, though. Their incredible dexterity and savantism in the medical field are a combination of genetics and isolated training.
Stats: note that their stats don't vary between them, as they have the same educational interests as well as direction to their mindset and personalities; as time goes on, they may begin to vary particularly in the Subtlety category.

Skills or Profession: Skills --
Melee Weapons Carried or Skilled: only surgical knives
Ranged Weapons Carried or Skilled: none, they do not know how to use any form of gun
Other Weapons (explosives, etc) Carried or Skilled: they've been known to use poisons, traps, tripwires and the like to set off items they've rigged up. They also are aware of the presence of weapons that use the plasma core technology, and are interested in how those affect organic life (they've seen people accidentally get vaporized from a bouncing Core).
Armor: none
Possessions: ideally some surgical equipment including medicines and tools, anaesthetics and antibiotics, but also some amount of heavier tools such as bone saws and drills.
Connections/Allies: unknown, they had originally been in favor with the Combine authorities but for whatever reason they have fallen out and are no longer considered useful.
Enemies: none particularly… except that one Combine Supreme…
Family/Pets/Dependants: none – father had created them as some of the last efforts of breeding before suppression fields were introduced. They were among the very last children brought into the world though they don't look it.
Personality: Vish is technical, curt and somewhat short tempered. Kesh is looser, more intuitive but also more introspective.
Quirks: Both of them could be considered borderline Asperger's for personality – they are obsessive about their medicine and cleanliness, and almost literally don't care about anything else.
Fears/Hates: they're not too keen on dirt. Really. Even if instructed to leave things as they find them, Vish and Kesh will both begin to tidy up and scrub things down – they are not afraid of germs so much as disgusted by them.
How they feel about...(may change per era)
... City 17: Well, it was nice while it lasted?
... Other Cities: City 8 smelled different, and had better food.
... Combine: Why are they punishing us now after all we've done for them?
... Earth Military: unknown, never really learned about them
... Resistance: unknown, but they might just find out
... Vortigaunts/Other Aliens: Vortigaunts are very intriguing, but the few times they had any contact the Vort wasn't meant to last very long. Other aliens are horrific, headcrabs and those other creatures…
... Other Worlds: unknown, what's the point?
... Science/Technology: At ease with this the most, what they cannot yet understand they may eventually build a device to do so. Or unearth old ones, there are ruins everywhere…
... Anything else?: though they obviously have different opinions, they will not openly disagree with one another in front of anyone, ever.

How do others view this character? Vish and Kesh are not seen apart, essentially at any time. When they have been apart, both withdraw into an almost catatonic state, not in fear, but in some kind of trancelike distress. So together, they are seen as a strange pair of twins, handsome but clueless, and a bit abrupt with people – mostly, it seems, because they never learned to socialize properly. They move with precision, and almost always in synch with each other though this is purely unconscious and not something more. They finish one anothers' sentences, fall into quiet pauses at the same time, and generally are a bit spooky.

They are clearly amenable to chatting about almost anything, to anyone, though they do not think they have anything important to add to most conversations about politics, history or geography. But get them started on how best to clean a wound or whether those med-kits really are healthy for you or not, and they're gonna talk your ear off.

Generally they're viewed as standoffish, but reasonably innocent. On the off chance that someone does get them naked, together, their tattoos will reveal an interesting if cryptic Devangari script set into a beautiful mandala. Vortigaunts will sense something about this image, but it is inconclusive what it could mean in their current Rookery world. Apparently the Vortessence works slightly differently in their native world, and thus this message is essentially just a pretty shiny to those who can see it on the Rookery or Repurposed worlds. No one is really sure whether they should go back to their homeworld and find out exactly what it means, if anything, in their completely destroyed setting.

Oddly enough, this pair reminds some of the original Paragon scientists (those who are left) of Paxton and Geoff. Had they been used as originally intended, the boys would certainly show the same focus and undeniable connection, without any of the 'baggage' of socialization.

Events or History:

Though they treat each other as brothers, and are technically the offspring of Doctor Viyan Singh and an unknown woman in the medical field, Vish and Kesh are actually clones, created with finely tuned precision by their father. They had been created shortly after the 7 Hour War, in India, while the suppression fields were being developed. In City 8, they made their home for the first 6 years of their lives, growing up essentially under Combine command but with a reasonably loving parent. Dr Singh vanished – possibly after being seen speaking with Resistance members. The boys were taken from City 8 and moved to City 17 when Breen learned of them. Because they were already adept at tool use and seemed far more mature than their years, they were given run of numerous medical research rooms. Tended by another Human doctor, but observed silently by several high ranking Combine officials, the pair grew more mature by the week. This is a side effect of their genetic engineering, they appear to be in their mid-twenties, but they're hardly over 12 years old real-time. By the time they were ten, they appeared to be older teens. This fact did not go unnoticed by those around them.

Their situation in the medical plaza seemed to be ideal. They learned fast, they operated with intense precision, and weren't balking at doing experiments on human subjects. However, as they studied Combine technology and older Human medical sciences, they began digging around some of their father's research into cloning.

Too many questions, perhaps, attracted the attention of a Combine Supreme, who put an end to their eager science practices. Over the protests of the other Humans in the area, the twins were removed and sent on their way to Nova Prospekt – however they were more welcomed as additions to the staff than prisoners.

Resistance era might have them actually AT Nova Prospekt, or on their way there. While they are not necessarily on the Combine's “side” they aren't truly rebels either – they merely want to help people survive and learn about biological engineering. There is a goal hidden deep in their minds, however, and that goal may be on the horizon if they get to the right equipment. They can create clones, as well as engineer human life. That is something no Combine would allow them to do. At the Rookery, however, they stand a tremendous chance to put those goals into play.

Age: 7 Event: moved from City 8 in India to City 17 in Eastern Europe
Age: 10 Event: allowed to use research and medical tools
Age: 12 Event: Sent to Nova Prospekt
Age: 13 Event: Rookery travellers locate this universe and bring them (along with some few others) back to find dragons

Personal Goals: Heal the sick. Rebuild the species. Not get dirty.
A Quote: “We are certain this will hurt a little,” “And by that we mean a lot.”
Their Spraypaint Tag: " … Spray… paint. Spray paint. On … what, walls? Oh those walls are hideously dirty…”

Dragon

Name: Hantaith (armless) and Osejith (wingless)
Gender: Male, Male
Size/Shoulder/Length: Sport / 5' shoulder bipedal (Hantaith), 3' shoulder (Osejith) / 15' long (both) / 30' wingspan (Hantaith only)
Colors: Slate Grey and White
Features: Though they were conjoined at the tail, their tails have been split without harm since moving back to the Healing Den; Seascape Betweened Pernese (Lost Clutch) features: technically all of them should have no forelimbs, bipedal genes, tall distinct crest, jaw frill, faceted eyes, ridged tail end, clawed feet with thumbs, hidden 3-fingered leather wings, unusual coloration, *th ended names carried in Old World dragon pairs.
Powers: Telepathy (strong, perfect with each other, both give extremely precise location and distance via triangulation with partner/bond, also give very strong sensory information such as sight and sound), Verbal Speech (new from Healing Den experience, poor pronunciation but good vocabulary), Teleportation (strong through between or the barrier, short range and quick locally, Osejith is strongest with both), Assisted Firebreath (not used any longer), Flight (only Hantaith, strong for both takeoff and long distances due to carrying his brother as well as both bonds, is stronger in duration than most browns)
Parentage: White Trymmeth and Blue Jeremoth - both Seascape clutched Pernese
Origin: Seascape Weyr's 'Lost Clutch' hatched after years between at the Healing Den, readopted after returning
Other Info: Though originally hatched and impressed to a pair of twins - sightless Xig and deaf Yang - and conjoined at the tail tip, this pair of somewhat deformed dragons had a short but good life with their bonds. At some point, however, their world fell apart and they returned to the Healing Den of their own accord. Thus when the Rookery call was sent out, and this pair of interesting Singh 'twins' appeared on their radar, they jumped at the chance to become functional parts of a growing society again. They know they're not expected to defend the Rookery from the same issues as before, in fact they're both quite smart for dragons. They are small, and enjoy that as a benefit most don't in the Rookery. They can sneak around (and have begun really enjoying that!) and send information to their new bonds telepathically to keep them informed long before even closed circuit video could.
Since their arrival back to the Healing Den, Baeris asked if they would like to be separated. At first, they balked - they'd known life together forever, but she pointed out successfully that they could function just fine on their own, since they no longer needed to be 'seeing eye' and 'hearing ear' dragons for their human companions. They could explore on their own, learn more separately, and did so with gusto after the very quick operation on their tails. They still remain close together most of the time, like their new bonds do, but even then they're apt to mentally connect the twins to keep their fears at bay even if they're across the facility from one another. Their separation anxiety was hardly warranted, and they have greatly enjoyed being able to stretch the limits of their telepathic connection.
All in all, this pair of dragons is ideally suited to working with humans on their own level, even if they cannot necessarily manipulate items (at least in Hantaith's case) they know their way around the interior of the Rookery like pros.
Notably, Thomas has suggested that Hantaith get fitted for cybernetic arms and Osejith get mechanical wings. Also notably, anyone else in the Rookery has insisted they not go the Combine route on these two. Haven't they been through enough?
