Name: Helen Floyd Gender: Female, Straight Age/DOB: ~18, aged, 2023 Origin: Repurposed Earth AAEC Family: Fraternal twin Adam, probably has other relatives based on their appearance and power types, though none so strongly that she'd be unable to be paired up with them in a lab Other: Part of the Reborn group of kids Height: 5'7" Weight: 130* though a bit lighter than she should be, she's still curvy and pleasant to look at, hardly any fat, but also not skinny; much stronger than she looks particularly at her height Hair: Black, wooly, kept in a variety of braids, dredlocks, or just left to be frizzy curls everywhere; usually rather long, she doesn't like having short hair Eyes: Medium to dark brown, cheery, over high chipper cheeks Appearance: Dark brown skin with moles and freckles, but virtually no scars or other markings; a heart shaped face and slightly buck teeth but who cares, she's gorgeous and usually smiling; Prefers less clothing than some think is prudent in the wasteland, but she doesn't take damage from things while in her alternate form - none that remain when she's flesh again anyway Icarus Processing: Yes, at the age of 3 along with Adam, she was given the full treatment and her physical traits were dramatically improved. It clearly aided her Vortal power level as well, much more so than Adam's. |

Genetic Abilities: Though she is certainly a bit stronger than normal, her speed is around 3x quicker than a normal person's, and she has never been known to be ill. She can be injured, but heals around 3x faster than normal. While she lacks external Vortal powers beyond being able to sense and communicate with her brother Adam, her Vortal powers include similar telekinetics to his: she can at close range pick up or manipulate items that are small or easily held (not more than 1 lb worth at 2 meters distance). But once she does have an object in her hand, she can physcally become that substance. Mainly inorganic items such as crystals, metals, and the like are of use to her, and she can still move, feel, and communicate as normal in this shape. It's clearly a shapeshifting power but she cannot do this without having been in contact with that substance directly before using it. Though she's tried to emulate living things, it's much more difficult and she winds up ... basically looking like a ball of hair, a pillar of skin, or something else equally unpalatable, since her power emulates only one or two select parts of a creature and she simply cannot manage more than a few cell types before her Vortal power runs out. She can keep up a single 'gold' or 'steel' shape for hours, allowing her to walk unhindered through a dangerous place or just looking stunning for an audience. She is working on but hasn't yet mastered turning merely single parts to these substances, such as crystalizing her eye lenses to have a perfect 'scope', or making her fingers and hand bones steel to cut through things. According to scientists as well as anyone who can sense biological factors, she's literally all gold, or all steel, but all of her organs and cells are still absolutely fine, present and accounted for. Melissa is just itching to mix those cells with others...
Skills or Profession: With her abilities, Melissa decided that a strong chemistry and physics set of downloads were in order. She's used these to great effect, and has added civil engineering and artistry to her learned skills over the years. She is really wanting to be much more fashionable than they can be in this post-apoc world, and has studied color theory, textiles, and the like as well as tailoring and other practical skills. She does, however, still enjoy being out in the field as a scout or sniper.
Personality: She is a very typical girl of the Pantheon, if one can be typical and still have an actual full-blooded sibling. Who is ultra-overprotective, jeez Adam back off will you? She likes being more social than he is, and is flirtatious to an extent that he really gets nervous about. Far happier overall than Adam, but can get serious if things require it.
Events or History: Lives at Lane Mansion though spends a lot of time exploring the local area particularly in industrial parks and downtown, experimenting and testing her abilities. With the later addition of the hippies, she takes up monitor duty at Dragon Tower 11 trading off with Herc and Chip among others. They think it's fun to jot down only their initials (H/C and... H/C) when checking in. She has a good rapport with the Xen Crater right near the Tower, and has made note that the crystals there help her work her weird powers much more effectively. She keeps some tiny ones as beads in her hair for this reason - not attuning to them to become a crystal, but because they seem to make changing in and out of other things smoother. |
