Name: Takeshi Yoshida Gender: Male, Bisexual Age/DOB: ~18, 2021 Origin: Repurposed Earth, AAEC Family: Unlikely to be related to anyone in the Pantheon directly, but it seems that Clay has some similar aspects to his powers Other: Along with the Reborn offspring, Takeshi had been in transit when the Synchronicity occurred and never quite made it to his destination Height: 5'6" Weight: 130* Icarus lightens, would be a bit more pudgy than this Hair: Black, thick and kept short Eyes: Nearly black brown, glows a bit greenish-brown when using abilities Appearance: Yellow-fair, broad nose and strong epicanthal fold, has a very 'High School' vibe with his choice of clothing including a lettermans' jacket (not that he knows what that even is, he just likes the color and the feel) Genetic Abilities: Has a moderate and close-range empathy/telepathy suite, occasionally-visible aura with power use. His actual 'powers' include matter manipulation, he can alter substances on a molecular level, though not atomic, and often assists in 'decaying' radioactive waste, or 'renovating' metals or other substances. Of all the individuals in the Pantheon, he's a weird one to look for to replace broken or damaged teeth, but he can do that. He's found moving between the Rookery itself, and Rapture, often using the teleporters to deliver goods, but also to help move large amounts of decaying material. The mass of this material stays the same, just in a different form - so he can decay a freshly dead body into basically 'fertilizer' in about an hour, and without all the bugs to go along with that. Eventually he claims he wants to try 'turning lead into gold', but that's atomic structure, kid - you know that! Icarus Processing: Yes, at the age of 3 - when the original Takeshi was going in for it, and was lost in the transport vehicle - though he was not artificially aged in this process because the nature of his powers required more long-term observation and learning. It lightened his overall weight, and strengthened his joints, he's much more flexible than he looks, and he's also about 2x as strong as normal. |

Skills or Profession: From a young age Takeshi took pride in learning everything he could - he's a diligent student and quite the scientific mind. The skill downloads that he did get when in the Icarus facility have long since been supplanted by good old fashioned book learning, sitting with the scientists in the Mesa, and practical experience. He can easily identify materials, even ones invisible to the eye, using his powers. He knows whether he can or cannot alter them, if they're just one element he has to take a pass - but if they're composed of anything more than just one he's all over it. Where some other matter manipulators separate out waste from water, he can then turn the waste into something more useful - and between him and those folks, they've done more cleanup around Black Mesa and the Enrichment Center than any robot staff ever could. He wants a nice clean environment so he sets about seeing what needs to be reduced, where a plant might be put, interior design is as important to him as the work itself.
Personality: All of those mental skills do very little good in a ruined world - but he figures that the world can be rebuilt, and he'll be part of it. He has chosen to clean the place up, he kept tripping over old corpses and piles of dead things, and just... got tired of seeing them. He's always wanted to see what the place looked like in its heyday, and perhaps some day make it look just as good. Probably better, he does have an artistic eye.
Events or History: Takeshi originally was noted as being attentive if not a bit obsessive, from information gathered by Melissa. He seems to be this way now too, but in a good way - always wandering through a place and just ridding it of whatever gunk might be sitting around in the corners, or collecting on the walls. Once his Icarus treatment kicked in, he put himself to work getting some more of that awful smelling waste, the glowing green stuff, cleaned up. In several hours, Takeshi cleaned up what would have been considered an OSHA-worthy disaster area in one corner of the Mesa, impressing Lane (who had been meaning to get to that...), and giving him the direction he needed for long-term goals. He can do this while reading or listening to lectures over the comm units, and figures that's an excellent way to multitask. With the Rookery's advent, however, Takeshi is putting much more effort into finding and isolating the worst parts of their Mesa or other locations, though Lane actually did a good job (in Takeshi's opinion) (which makes Lane chuckle) but there are still occasional pockets of waste or spare half-eaten creatures left over from invasive wildlife nesting in the corner. He is fascinated by Rapture, loves the outfits and gear he's finding there, and truly loves the sense of artistic style. |

Dragon Name: The name cannot be written, as it's mainly a mental sensation of pressure, thickness, and slithering, Call it 'Slither', go right ahead. It won't respond, because it can't hear you. |
