Name: Arlene Davis

Gender: Female, Straight

Age/DOB: Appears to be in her late 20s or early 30s

Origin: Rookery Earth, Kentucky USA

Family: Deceased, no known children or living family left

Other: She's hoping that once the Rebels take down the Combine, she might be able to settle down and have a family, but isn't sure it'll come in time for her to still have kids the traditional way; part of the Shorepoint rescue group

Height: 5'2", looks taller than she is at least at a distance

Weight: 105, petite build, but quite muscular

Hair: Dark brown with slightly red tint, straight, kept in a snug clip for working on things, but a cute style when down

Eyes: Medium clear brown, large, a bit sad looking

Appearance: medium light skin, quite a few freckles in the sun, 'worry wart' sort of expressive facial features; is a grease monkey so she spends a lot of time with smears of grease or oil on her, but cleans up admirably well and enjoys snug fitting outfits, really enjoys the uniforms that they found on the Borealis.

Genetic Abilities: None known, though she may have some kind of mechanical aptitude that would be helpful for skill downloads.

Icarus Processing: None, would not be considered for the program as she has genetic tags that could adversely affect the results.

Skills or Profession: It's not clear whether Arlene had any formal training before the Combine arrived, but she proved her worth to the rebel cells in at least three Cities by helping to repair and maintain their vehicles. She continues to do this work and enjoys learning about new technology, though she does shy away from Combine tech as a rule. Her knowledge of cars is legendary, and her operation of almost any vehicle is certainly well known. She enjoys boats as much as cars, though they're fewer and farther between, at least functional ones, and slightly harder to maintain due to the lack of proper facilities... and water in most places.
Personality: Not as super-serious as some might think, she is a bit of a worrier and will go to great lengths to make sure that someone knows the dangers they will face, before sending them out on any given vehicle she's primed. She enjoys music and dance, but where do you find those things here and now?
Events or History: *Note that canon HL2 Arlene died to a headcrab attack shortly after delivering the airboat to Gordon Freeman. This is not that Arlene, as there is no Gordon Freeman on the Rookery until he's brought from the Repurposed world.
When she was still a pre-teen, the Combine arrived to Earth, and that sort of put a dent in her life. Arlene does not like to talk about her teenage years, rather skipping them to talk only about her pre-war life learning about cars and races from her folks, and then later on when she was relocated from City to City as a later teen. She spent time in several Cities in North America before being shipped off to the European ones, and was among the last citizens of City 14 before it was... shut down. In City 17 however, she met up with the rebels there once learning of their existence, and continued her diligent help until the Rookery was established. She and several others were recruited by the Rookery, and look where it's got them now? Up in the frozen north with the Borealis, but with dragons! And portal technology! Arlene is super enthused about both of those things, she feels it's a turning point in the gruesome history of her world. She is among the "Shorepoint rescues", a group of rebels holed up in an industrial complex on the coast.

Dragon

Name: FrostyMoss (is that his real name? Well, it's the one he likes to hear)
Gender: Male
Size/Shoulder/Length: Medium-Small, 9'5" shoulder / 50' l / 100' ws; though having quite a good wing span, he's not very big compared to most other dragons of his world
Colors*: Pale spring green mottled with white fades on most of neck, head, sides, and body; belly is more evenly spring green though pale; wingsails and neck frill webbing visibly mottled spring, grass, and stronger green with paler and darker clumps; spots luminescent white; claws, horns white; dorsal spikes very pale spring green with faintly ice-white shimmer; eyes brilliant green
Features: Rain-Icewing Hybrid, four muscular slender legs with 5 and 4 curved, long claws, thumb front and heel-claw hind; two leathery 4-fingered wings with elbow strut and very strong wrist thumb, all having long curved claws, and thumb claw remarkably jagged and able to cut stone; thick scaled skin, all scales except armor are quite small and shimmery*, even armor plating on belly and dorsal area, overlapping plates on fronts of limbs; head is angular with strong eye plating, a tiny nose horn and medium jaw nubs, two slender upturning backswept horns, external ears, and large webbed neck frills; entire dorsal strip has long, very sharp 4' long spikes from head to tail; tail is highly prehensile and quite strong.
Powers: Winged Flight, Frosty is a good strong flier, able to lift quite a bit more weight than a dragon of his size normally might. He's not all that fast, which is a bit sad because he'd like to race for his human to be proud of him. That said, she wouldn't be able to ride him to do those races either, because of those pointy bits on his neck... she can and does sometimes sit behind his horns, though it's a little uncomfortable because he's not all that big. He can use his tail while hovering, to add balance or to lift other items, with his forepaws occupied.
Verbal Speech, he has a strangely high pitched voice, somewhat squeaky for a dragon, no one really knows whether it's because he's young, smaller than typical, or what, but you know him from a distance because of it. He's not shrill, just ... high, like small metal wind chimes.
Ice Breath and Cold Dominance, Frosty is quite strong with his ability to freeze things solid, any liquid including supposedly cold-resistant ones will turn to slush even if he's just sitting around. He can control that aspect of his temperature, though, so not to worry he won't just freeze his friends. He can aim a precise beam of ice, or spit chunks of it in small pointy clumps, nearly 100 meters. More easily done at close range, however, he can reduce the temperature of about a 5 meter cube down to absolute zero or near to it, instantly freezing and usually killing whatever is inside it. Frosty can step on water or liquid and freeze it over, and he likes to splash liquids out from barrels (maybe they're toxic, maybe they're radioactive, doesn't matter once he's spilled it and frozen it up) and then freeze them into shapes, particularly strong bridges or ledges so that humans can cross areas more safely. The control he has over this power is pretty remarkable, actually, because those surfaces can be either slick or textured, slippery or tactile so they don't fall. The 'dominance' part of his power, is that he can masterfully change the temperature around himself to suit the needs around him, and tolerates extreme cold like nobody's business. Though he doesn't swim deeply, he can certainly thrive in the Arctic ocean chill. His claws are remarkably sharp, absolutely carving through ice and medium-thickness metal or virtually any other substance with ease. He and Arlene have seriously considered freeing the Borealis from its icy tomb, but that would require it to be fully seaworthy before then, and that just isn't possible yet.
* Color shifting, only to a very small extent. FrostyMoss's scales sparkle and shine like sunlight on ice, the only scales he can actually change color are the luminescent patches on his sides and limbs. He often uses this to communicate at close range, and those patches are hardly under control but he can force himself to glow or grow dull, or even show colors other than grey, to warn or encourage others.
Parentage: Unknown Rainwing and Icewing, though because of his smaller size, he may very well be related to Voo'roo on his Icewing side.
Origin: adopted from Moonshimmer981 at deviantart, Wings of Fire by Tui Sutherland
Other Info: An eager and friendly dragon, FrostyMoss picked up on Arlene's desire to help and will take her lead, understanding what tools she needs, and even fetching them (or just reaching for them with his tail) when asked. They are well-suited to working on the Borealis, and because of his smaller size, he can actually work inside the ship without much fuss. He prefers to cut a hole in the ice near where they're working, to rest up or store things, and then later patch it up with breath-ice. It's nearly impossible to tell where he's roosted.
