Name: Pollux

Gender: Male

Age/DOB: <200, unknown dob

Origin: Rookery Earth's Xen

Family: Along with Castor specifically playing the role of 'brother', all Vorts are considered his family

Other: Arrived with Castor at Black Mesa during Nihilanth's invasion, and remains there assisting human, vort, and dragon alike

Height: 5'4", stretches to 6'0"

Weight: 155, compact and heavy boned, quite muscular and yet still pretty sleek looking, not in any way chunky

Hair: none

Eyes: Pollux has remarkably yellow-orange eyes, with white highlights, and the darkest they get is a sort of brilliant gold

Appearance: quite light and slick-skinned, with orange-gold mottling here and there, over mainly buff and tan skin, slight darker areas around mouth and eyes, very upright for a Vort

Genetic Abilities: As with all Vortigaunts he is strongly gifted with Vortessence to see things beyond the Veil of the physical realm, communicate with those who have Vortal Inputs, and cast an amount of energy around. It's that last one he does quite a bit. He can jolt things with a simple electric current, but that is much weaker than his power to heal flesh. With a greenish yellow glow, his hands and third limb can minister a strong amount of Vortal energy that can bind wounds shut, stop bleeding, mend bones, and heal cuts and internal injuries within minutes. This power works best on Vortal creatures such as Vortigaunts, the Pantheon, and some number of dragons, but still functions on normal humans and even animals if needed - it takes about twice as long for any of that. He cannot heal at a distance, but can trigger electronics and electrial shorts with that weaker power, at up to 20 meters.

Icarus Processing: none, though he was prepped for full soldier duties by Nihilanth's Controllers, he and Castor never were fully finished, and thus they don't have the distinct slave equipment or scarring from their removal

Skills or Profession: Healer, though quite an aggressive one; talented in spotting those in need, Aura sight, and picking through ruins. He does a lot of climbing and swinging around, he's remarkably active and agile in that regard - much more so than any older Vorts around, to say the least. He knows injuries by sight, or by smell, and will concentrate on his healing until finished and the chastise the patient if needed. Depending on how those injuries might have occurred, he offers condolances, or sage advice. Like, "stop standing in the fire" or "I'm sorry you had to be so clumsy with that acid". He does know more traditional physical medical skills, binding wounds or immobilization techniques, anatomy, and a bit of pharmacology here on Earth.
Personality: Snarky and with less kind bedside manner than he really should have, but still - when you're in the field and get hurt, he's right there for you. He doesn't begrudge the act of healing, it's a valued skill after all, but he never holds back when he thinks an injury could have been avoided. This doesn't apply during combat moves - his goal there is to get warriors back up and fighting as quickly and thoroughly as he can, he's never been heard insulting a fighter.
Events or History: As with his 'brother' Castor, they were hatched and educated together, trained in their respective duties, and would have been processed to have slave bindings to control them better. The invasion cut that short, thankfully, and the pair wound up on Earth without any of that, almost by accident. The surrounding troops were being shuffled through portals, and they - decided to go through when things looked like they were really going badly for Nihilanth. They held out at Black Mesa until now, when these other beings arrived. There had been a few locals still around, and they helped as best they could even if the facility had been nuked around them.

Dragon

Name: Static
Gender: Male
Size/Shoulder/Length: Medium (bulky) 11'6" s / 56' l / 100' ws
Colors: face to tail tip underbelly and neck, behind limbs light grey; limbs, face armor, neck dorsal, wing arms matte black; dorsal armor from head to tail tip dark grey; central neck and tail, and limb armor medium grey, inset spots dark blue; wingsails dark grey with many small scattered star marks; horns, dorsal spikes and ridge, claws white; eyes dark blue
Features: Nightwing standard
Powers: Winged Flight, Static is excellent with low-altitude complex flights, able to carry a tremendous amount of weight through difficult terrain. He can keep up a slow paced flight overland for more than 10 hours, though pushing his speed decreases how long he can keep it up. Though he's very agile at low altitude he doesn't like doing aerial tricks too high up, feeling that it leaves him vulnerable in open skies; he will do so at night, but never during the day.
Communication, as a Nightwing he has a strong complement of Vortal senses, able to communicate easily with his Vort bond (and they are strongly tied) as well as any actively Vortal minds near, at around 250 meters or less. He speaks in a deep and rumbling voice, Draconic, Vortigese, and English with decreasing proficiency but still easily understood in all. He also has a very strong connection to his sister Lotus at any distance.
Sparkle Breath, though still hot enough to burn through easily flammable items if dropped onto them, Static produces a broad fan of 'shiny' particles rather than a gout of flame. Perhaps it's for the best, then, that he and his sister left their clan - because that might have been an embarrassment back home. But it's what he does with this ability that makes everyone proud of him - he can leave a trail of these sparkling lights along a path, they last for about an hour, and people can follow their direction. Also they can be sprayed into the sky as a kind of signal flare, and he can adjust their brightness - and also how long they last, which in that case would be 'no longer than a minute' in case there are any Combine watching. His accuracy with these particles is quite good, as he can 'spell' things in the air, or place them in a specific pattern on the ground and surfaces. They do not leave traces except if they've burned dry brush or paper, they're not going to dig into concrete or even paint, but may ignite oils or gasses.
Parentage: Unknown Nightwing parents, full brother to Lotus who he adores and protects;
Origin: Adopted from Tropicat212 on Deviantart, Wings of Fire by Tui Sutherland
Other Info: Because he will not be parted from his sister - even though he knows she's safe from their clan at any rate, he's still more apt to remain at the Rookery and Ranch areas. He does like visiting the Bayou, though, as he can nestle in the marsh and spread his wings, and have fireflies bump into his wings.
