Name: Star's Key (Starsky)

Gender: Male

Age/DOB: ~900, unknown dob

Origin: Rookery Xen

Family: All grunts, mostly dead, has mentored Hatch and considers him more of a brother than a son

Other: clearly he's been through a lot, people give him a wide berth, but he is quite good with anyone who wants to work with him on these broken devices down in the oldest sections of Black Mesa

Height: 7'2"

Weight: ~600? He can absolutely fall through weak floors, which is partly why he resides and works down in places where there are sturdier surfaces

Hair: none, obviously

Eyes: faded pale red, it's not really clear whether they're dim because he's old, or because they have scarring on them, but he sees just fine

Appearance: as shown, Starsky is immensely old, but also scarred and has damage from having his armor removed. He has mostly greenish-cream skin, but shows strong veins and lines from implants in darker grey, as well as the distinct darker red patches from the armor's edges on chest, arms, hips, and lower limbs; also he's lost a good number of teeth, and yes those are human dentures in his mouth right now. He and Hatch thinks this is absolutely hysterical

Icarus Processing: none, but had extensive insertion of skills with his incubation centuries ago

Genetic Abilities: as with the other Grunts surviving on Earth, Starsky is able to tap into memories of his people, including tactics and weaponry use, vehicles (though nothing on earth really compares to those on Xen or their homeworld), and technology. He has a very weak Vortessence, he's old and worn, but with Bedrix he's discovered equally ancient techniques to draw electric energy from his third hand - he uses this to power small batteries or jolt items into life
Skills or Profession: Spending centuries guarding machinery and manufacturing areas on Xen, Star's Key is quite literally the most knowledgeable about the subject alive right now. He is a technician, not a warrior, but he has certainly seen many battles as all Grunts were expected to fight. His armor was removed shortly before the invasion of Earth, he was actually considered 'done', and Nihilanth might have sent him to reprocessing to be basically ground up into food paste for the next generation, had it survived that encounter with Corporal Shephard. He can fix almost anything, even with those bulky hoof hands: he uses the larger hands to hold an item and his third to deftly manipulate it. Right now he's helping fix up the old mine cart area under Black Mesa, along with occasionally working on the portal devices which he thinks are fascinating. He wants to get the Grunt pods moved from Xen to Earth, in order to help fight the Combine here. He speaks English and Vort, in a long, low, rumbling voice.
Personality: Though he's hardly 'gentle', he is quite experienced and knows better than to pick fights with people that are allies. When he doesn't know something, he will ask until someone helps, and he's learning to read English so he can decode technical manuals and instructions he's found with the old machines down in the mines and missile silos. He does enjoy his work, and likes having people on hand who can do the finer bits, since he cannot fit into some spaces or workplaces. Though he is equitable to some elderly Vorts, and even some of the elderly Human scientists, he's not one of those old curmudgeonly types. More he's just tired, though he doesn't like the thought of 'retirement', because to him and all his kin, that has always meant 'and death'.
Events or History: As above, tended the manufacturing and tooling plants for quite a long time, on Xen. He spent a few dozen years with the Grunt pods, which was where he ended up at the final hours of Nihilanth's rule. When the creature's influence was broken, the other Vorts and he helped hatch a few of the ready-to-go Grunts, let them loose, and he took up Hatch as his own apprentice or friend. Though he's tired and has seen more than enough battles to last a lifetime, particularly for a technician, he knows that in order to win this war against Ulathoi, he must press on and help any way he can.

Dragon

Name: Bedrix, 'the tasty lure'
Gender: Female
Size/Shoulder/Length: Large, bipedal 14' hip / 50' l / 90' ws
Colors: most of body is beige-tan, belly from neck to under tail is creamy white, wingsails and all spikes, horns, and tail spade candycorn white, orange, and yellow; claws white, eyes and tongue violet
Features: scaled skin with armor plating on belly; four legs with a more or less bipedal stance, four fingers and toes with thumbs on all; two leathery wings with three internal fingers, internal elbow strut, and wrist claw; head is chunky and has strong ridging on nose and over eyes, two upswept horns, jaw spikes, and spikes along entire body from head to tail; long and heavy tail with prominent spade
Powers: Winged Flight, obviously a dragon with wings this size is quite good at flight. She likes to cling to walls and scale them with her claws, then turn upside down and shoot downwards in the missile silo space, but she can also shoot straight upwards when she has a running start. Bedrix can carry an astounding amount of weight with her while doing so, and is somehow quite easy to cling on to in those upside down and vertical parts.
Communication, though she can speak some amount of English and a bit of different Draconic tongues, Bedrix usually just grumbles and growls vocally. She can telepathically speak with her Grunt bond, and that's all that matters.
Scent Production, as her coloration seems quite unusually reminiscent of 'candy corn' here on Earth, so does her ability to leave a trail of sweet smells. Both her breath and her tail spade when dragged along a surface linger with a tasty sweetness that almost any creature that can detect it will enjoy. They won't enjoy being chomped on when they find her lair, though, and she uses this to draw in both enemies to fight, and treats to eat. The scent dissipates after about an hour.
Rot Breath, and the other side of that taste is the weaponized version of her breath, which can destroy organic materials reasonably fast. It only attacks certain parts though, calcium in specific, so yes, teeth and bones rot away quite suddenly if some living things come into contact with her breath when she's actually concentrating on killing something. It leaves many enemies with no claws or fangs, and then... becomes quite painful as all the nerve endings in their mouth, hands or paws, and finally their whole skeleton, fall to pieces. Watching what happens to a headcrab when it is dealt with this way is ... disturbing. However, boneless and beakless headcrab does taste pretty good with that added sugary coating. Do not ask. They do eat it. Others pass this off as a secret method of brining and glaze...
Parentage: Unknown, but there are some others of her breed residing in the Rookery, and it's possible they may pair up
Origin: Adopted from SentraTheTeaNoodle on Deviantart
Other Info: She does indeed have a sweet smell, but very sharp teeth, and will smack enemies around before delivering a final blow.
