The campus of Carramba High School has existed for quite a long time, and as life in the modern era continues to get weirder thanks to the location being a dimensional nexus, some amount of renovation has had to take place to keep up. Accessibility and inclusion are a tremendous part of the upgrades as well, suitable to students and staff with virtually any body configuration or atmospheric needs, though some classes still require specific protective gear or biological format. With the exception of the locker rooms for gym classes, all restrooms are available to anyone at all times, and new nongendered gym equipment and locker space has been added for those who may feel uncomfortable in 'one or the other' or even 'humanoid' spaces. Older-styled mens- and womens-rooms are still present, but no one is going to stop anyone from going in the one they need or can reach. Medical and psychological services here have been expanded as well, to suit not only local and alien biological visitors, but draconic and non-biological entities. Everyone is encouraged to have a full scan done just to make sure that all records are up to date, for existing issues, specific needs, and to alert the correct section of our staff in case anything seems amiss. All processes and evaluations done on campus by our staff are guaranteed to be confidential, so the only time any other parties are involved in any processing is when the student, staff member, or even visitor gives their permission. The Admin Torus hosted numerous planning sessions and construction of new structures. In its holding space where time stands still and where all of the details of each building could be refined at least half a dozen buildings were wholly replaced, and some others given badly needed upgrades including new balconies, plumbing, climate controls, and even new levels and classrooms entirely. Where possible, the new buildings' appearances were made to match the theme and overall aesthetic values of the originals, and upgrades had dedicated teams to make certain that any existing materials and designs remained intact. Yes that does mean that some of those buildings with 'all new' added stories and classrooms have been 'copy pasted' with tweaks, so you're not seeing double on those brick and steel facades, they really are duplicated. To make sure that students, staff, and instructors were all uninterrupted during this building process, structures were copied and worked on in private, then pasted in by our team of matter-manipulators with all the power, conduit, communications, and plumbing hookups needed. Overnight, those new buildings along with their attendant Clear pathways exist around all campus structures, some of which have gotten quite a bit taller, wider, or more functional. With dragons actively attending classes in some locales, and with all the added-value of art classes getting display space, a foot-tall fairy can enjoy the new airier viewing of murals, while a 30' long dragon can do so as well! Each building also has coded signage, with colors, specific patterns, and sensory markings for those who rely on scent or frequency-based perception. It's very difficult to get actually lost on campus, so there's no excuse not to be in class on time... ** 2024 Update!! - The entire campus has changed over time, and with the addition of C4 (Crescent City Community College) as the 'extended play 4 year college' courses and campus, Crescent City has a lot going for it and 9 out of 10 of those things are Carramba. With landing pads, Nexus collection plates for wandering teleporters, an undersea dome for classes suitable to the marine sector, all new sports venues and greatly expanded dragon campus locales... The entire area has been restructured (with extensive permission, legal and economic approval) to suit one of the finest 8-year studies programs on the planet. Or anywhere, really. The map below is of the 'very old' campus, there is not yet a newly updated version but eventually there will be. |

Crescent City rests north of the Diego County area and south of the Oh-No!fre nuclear power plant. CHS and C4 are close to the coast and has access to the harbor, bay, and numerous tourist trap features along the route. The Ontogeny Dome is quite large (nearly the same 'floor space' as the city itself has in square km!) but only the top portion peeks out over the surface of the ocean. Its biome observation area goes all the way to the sea floor and in fact well into it. North-East of Crescent by about 100 miles inland on the western side of the mountains is CHS's sister school Wonder's Wonders, in the town of, you guessed it, Wonder. |
