Matrix Program - as Chary is originally from another dimension's ruined Earth and within a complex simulation, she has abilities that allow her to directly interface with, command, change, and more to her purpose: delete anything that is electronic or computer-driven. Even in her physical, fleshy state, she can affect anything that is nearby, and a lot that is quite distant as well, with her powers

Delete Star Dot Star - she was a low-level (barely one step above the machine code) reformat program in the 2nd iteration of the Matrix, and she still has those abilities quite strongly here and everywhere else. She has to be very careful about its use in the Hyperlabs of course, because she can easily vaporize code and render most electronics bricked within a sphere about 100 meters around herself or at a distance up to 1km with a good line of sight or an electrical connection to it. At times when she's either heavily distracted or under duress, she might let off what she calls a Format Pulse, it's quite close range, under 10 meters, but within that sphere of influence she will simply delete everything that can be deleted. That might include half of things, hollowing out virtual structures, or breaking parts of entities. She dreads the moment this happens but knows her limits and when she should scoot very far from anyone to avoid harming them

Communicate To All Computers - no matter how small, simple, or its origin dimension, if it runs on some form of energy and has 'code' to it (rather than 'thought') she can detect, read, re-write, overwrite, copy paste, and communicate through, with, or to, an intelligent code-based creature. So yes, she can play Doom on your digital stylus, or invite crystaline electrointelligences to digital lunch. This ability works on anything within 500 meters and she can focus to mess with or communicate up to 4km away

Electronic Inhabitation - her power supply is endless, however she likes to duck in and out of computer systems, including robot bodies, your digital watch, LED screens, all Max Headroom up in your stuff, at distances less than 200 meters only; she can also duplicate her image onto screens and overtake speakers, so when she needs to get an emergency broadcast out, you will know it

Clusters

Code! +6 as above, if it was 'written' she can manipulate it, understand it, pry it apart, and put it into other code to see what happens

People! +3 she really does enjoy company, and here at Carramba since it's much safer for her to be out and about without risking a sudden lapse and deleting half a building worth of programs and people, she's been working on those meet and greet, friend making, and communication skills, passing them on to students

Skills

Learn Foreign Languages +3 when you're literally made of code, everything is simultaneously 'foreign' and 'easy'

Aerial Navigation +3 has no problem getting around large areas including cityscapes, sewer systems, or complex puzzle arenas (such as the Danger and Escape rooms popular these days with heroes and kids alike); she flies and has no trouble with heights, though she's occasionally had to be reminded that carrying other people up the side of the Alabaster Tower in Talon City is both terrifying and dangerous

Creative +3 she loves looking at what others make, but can certainly hold her own in terms of building a realm for herself. Painting with code or pigments alike, she prefers to use her electronic tools to whip up digital locations, and encourages others to learn how to do it too

Knacks

Fashionable +3 only those who know how to read her specific version of the Matrix code can read what's always scrolling over her outfits, but she figures it just adds to the colors and patterns, textures and such, rather than detracting from it (hint: it's rude and fun, but also has anyone ever told her that there's a map in the form of a QR code in the corner of her bolero cape?)

Careful Enough +2 as long as she knows who's in class or around the Hyperlab she will never under any circumstance let off a Format Pulse. She knows when to give a verbal warning versus just up and flying off, and the area around her Hyperlab is extremely well 'padded' with security features. There is a sort of 'ablative code layer' in her safe room, honestly it's just the Hyperlab 'flush this' area so nothing at all of value will be put there anyway - allowing her to safely have a freakout and delete stuff no one's ever going to miss

Still Learning Biological Stuff +2 though she's definitely been in a body for a while, sometimes it does weird shit like sneeze or get the hiccups and she is incredibly amused by this. Also she's fascinated by other species than humanoids, as the Machines in 01 have filled niches that a great many biological creatures have evolved into themselves

Her Paragon City blurb:

Once part of the oldest Matrix program. Charybdis, a low-level reformat program, accidentally the whole sector, and almost died in the process. However, she has remained through each subsequent reboot and become more and more aware of who she used to be, and what she'd done. She seeks out her fractured, fragmented personality shards, in the hopes that her distant memories can be placed back together.

In the meantime, she resides in a genetically engineered host body, with Sentinel tentacle hair and the ability to defy gravity like most Machines.
She lives and works out of a boarded up restaurant formerly known as The Great Escape, and aids Awakened humans on their journey to the Real.

--

Her history is basically as above: an old Matrix program now existing in another dimension and in physical form thanks to dragons, go figure. While she 'has' a dragon residing in the Healing Den, that one has gone with her back to her Vere-adjacent Matrix, residing near the power plant that gathers the energy from its human-inhabited pods. However, this particular Charybdis is a copypasta, distilled and defragged just enough that the original can handle things off in her Matrix, while this one teaches kids and researches code on Twoarth. She thinks it's grand, because a few Sangers hang out here, and he's really good with code ifyouknowwhatimean.

Dragon

Name: Paxfali
Gender: Male
Size/Shoulder/Length: medium-large 14' s bipedal / 44' l / 60' ws
Colors: Red with Glowing Green; body is overall translucent dark red, bones glow in neon green; wing feathers shiny slightly-glowing light green; crest and tail floof graphite; claws white, built-in horns all glowing green; eyes yellow-green
Features: Bipedal hydra, two large clawed legs with heel claws, two feathered wings with three talons with large claws; body is high and has a long arched tail with feather-like frill also found as crest on main head; three heads, one considerably larger that has two long straight back-pointing horns and two forward curved horns; small heads have two short back pointing nub horns; all heads have multiple eye pairs
Powers: Winged Flight and Teleportation - Paxfali uses his flight and teleportation in conjunction, producing what appears to be a jittery, flickering motion. Is it lag? Is it hax? He can spread his wings wide and soar on any amount of a breeze, somehow, though he does seem a touch ungainly that way. But when he puts his mind to it, he looks like 'a dragon like in the movies', powerfully pulling himself up and around. When he teleports as a single power, he can reach even virtual locations, and doesn't need to be flying to do it, but prefers to because he does sometimes wind up slightly off-center from where he'd like to be. This is also reflected in his regeneration... when he relocates into a solid object, ow. Together, however, these abilities make him visually look like a glitchy video game sprite, and woe to any flying creature trying to somehow chase him - he is unpredictable, but equally purposeful at times when he wants to either get away or chase something else. Right in front, right beside, to the right... halfway into, oops. No he does remember not to get too close but there may come a time when another teleporting dragon crosses his intended destination
Verbal Speech - Pax's voice is as terrifying as one might expect a three-headed glowy-skeleton hydra to be. But he is certainly friendly and often quite cute, in a sort of 'big dumb jock' way. He isn't 'dumb' but he's braver than he is smart, and smarter than he is wise... His vocabulary is reasonably technical, though he doesn't use the big-words to try and impress anyone, with the thought that he will absolutely look like a dumbass if he gets it wrong. So sticking to more straightforward terms, even if it makes people think he's a bit on the 'davinky' scale, that's fine... They can underestimate him all they want
Natural Spellcaster - within the next ten or twenty years at Carramba this hydra will certainly be a star in his own right at the magic campus. There are quite a few people who can help him learn the ins and outs of magic use, and he takes inspiration from Chary as well, manipulating her virtual environment gives him ideas that maybe he could create things, enchant items, and create illusions. That is... if he doesn't keep accidentally getting into so much danger that he has to use his other ability...
Reincarnating Immortality** - Paxfali has actually had to regenerate once by the time Charybdis became his caretaker. This was no fault of his parents or the location, Pax is... just a bit of a clutz is all, and tends to pick fights he cannot win. He barely remembers his first reincarnation but he also barely remembers that the reason it happened was because he fucked around and found out. Chary is going to try and keep him up on things, but also keeps a very careful eye out for his safety. If he loses too much of himself... well, she knows that pain (** this is an exceptionally powerful ability, and he can rely on it as many times as needed, just. stop needing it, buddy.)
Parentage: Nelinpha and Dycheriforfatendaleth
