Dragon

Name: Spackle
Gender: Male
Size/Shoulder/Length: Large 11' shoulder / 45' l / 76' ws
Colors: Salmon yellow and beige belly and underbody, mottled beige and tan with caramel sides and along dorsal scales, grey tan face, light brown armor on limbs, white trim scales down sides, wingsails pale beige gradient to light brown speckled with pale tan and white, dorsal fin gradient yellow through light brown also speckled pale tan and white; brown horns, eyes are lime green
Features: Hybrid Mud-Sandwing; four sturdy low-set legs with sharp curved claws, heel-claw on hind; two leathery wings with 4 fingers, elbow strut, and wrist thumb with very strong curved claws; body is wide and burly, with heavy scales everywhere, overlapping armored on back, with inset plates on limbs and face; tail is very broad; face is boxy with high nostrils, external ears, two short backswept horns; has soft, low, ripply dorsal fin from head to mid-tail, largest at back near tail
Powers: Travel Abilities; Winged Flight, yes flying is a thing that he can do. He doesn't tend to fly very high off the ground or a vertical surface, but can get a pretty decent speed while running boosting his speed with the wings. Burrowing and Climbing, where his movement really shows is in his ability to burrow into sand, rubble, clutter, mud, rocky dirt, soil... nearly any substance that can be carved through, he can do it with ease. Now, admittedly, he does it leaving a massive burrow behind him, which is good for refugees to follow and escape, but also dangerous as hell for anything above, because that burrow will eventually collapse unless he concentrates fire on 'curing' it to its shape. He can run-fly around 40 mph, fly-fly around 35, but his burrowing speed is more like 50 to 55 mph, making him fast enough to burrow under a Combine vehicle and burst above the ground right in front of it.
Verbal Speech, he has a rough, gritty, extremely deep voice that the Vorts consider almost a religious experience to hear. He does also have quite an extensive vocabulary, and enjoys it when Bronze reads from technical manuals and instructions, engineering or geology texts. He and Bronze do share a Vortal bond, though it is only good for close-quarters silent communication, and little else, with a maximum distance of around 100 meters.
Superheat; Spackle can use a breath-like weapon, as a weapon or to construct things equally. His 'fire' is in the form of a nearly plasma-hot blast of air, that will absolutely vaporize things if he wants to, or merely heat an area. He can use this at a short distance for very precise heating needs, such as for melting and re-fixing crumbling stone (yes, he can melt stone and most metals with this) and reinforcing walls or existing materials which aren't just going to explode from the heat. He can also use it to super-heat individual items, to the point of explosion - not just a toxic or gasoline barrel, but literally a rock, can become an explosion waiting to happen. For this, he doesn't even need to be breathing on it, that is apparently a power outright. He more often than not will use this to keep an area free of Combine if they're poking around, as Bronze can toss a stone or object with precision, as Spackle is overheating it, and by the time the Combine go to investigate what that noise was as it falls, it will absolutely rip them to shreds. However he is usually happier to be rebuilding or assisting with construction, more than destruction. He has also been tapped by some folks out in the desert to make glass, and he's extra proud of that.
Parentage: father Mudwing Grit (Matilda's), mother Sandwing Buffet (Uriell's friend)
Origin: adopted from furrygamer2003 at deviantart
Other Info: Spackle not only looks like a bit of drywall and paint, but really enjoys learning about Human construction methods. He can help hollow out an area with ease, as long as he knows exactly where to go, he'll move tons of ground in minutes.
