Powers Group Emotion Control - Able to sense and affect up to two dozen individual minds of any power, at up to 200 meters away, Steel can filter through all the fluff and get right down to telling people how to feel. While some might be a bit leery of just blanketing emotions and changing them around, Steel is keenly aware of how group dynamics are formed, and can trigger a slight but important change in one or two members of a mob, to soften their effect over others in that same mob. So he doesn't generally have to manipulate everyone in that mass of people, just a few key members. Now, that said... he can manipulate them all, and even do masterful switches so that no two people are quite the same in a group of a dozen or more, he can put together an artistic spectrum of emotions from wailing grief to elation and adoration, plus everywhere in between. Notably Steel is stubborn and able to go up against even seasoned Empaths of equal ability, or even much stronger ones. He can put a stop to tantrums that even Alma Wade would throw and that's saying a lot.
Dampen / Enhance Emotions - where he shines is in subtle changes, rather than overt ones. Steel's sense of just how strong any given person's affect over another is important, and if he feels like someone is just one notch too angry, he'll take it down, if he senses someone whose desperation might endanger them he'll soften it a little, and when someone has just a tiny spark of hope, he can raise that spirit into a blaze. This is usually done one on one, but he can do so in a group of up to 20 people, only at distances less than 20 meters away. So, a classroom, or therapy group. This is what he feels to be his best ability and does it with refugees at the Rookery, making sure that people who may become despondant or suicidal never go that far, and keeping anger issues from being a real problem.

Name: Haze
Gender: Male
Size/Shoulder/Length: Medium (bulky) 8' s / 36' l / 68' and 30' ws
Colors: belly from chin to tail and backs of legs, limb armor pale powder blue; face, neck, limbs and tail dusty medium blue; accents, dorsal neck body and tail scales warm graphite grey; wingsails pale warm grey to cool grey with tiny white star speckles; horns and spikes, claws, all black; eyes red
Features: Nightwing Hivewing hybrid; neck, body, legs, large wings, and tail mostly Nightwing in nature, while head is very clearly Hive and he sports a second pair of insect like wings
Powers: Winged Flight, though obviously big and burly Haze is quick and light in the air with a very good ability to maneuver in tight spots thanks to his smaller set of wings; however he cannot maintain speed or strength feats for very long, so he rarely is out in a combat situation. He will eagerly pick up two or three refugees at a time and fly them low and quick to safety, but he must rest after lifting heavier groups.
Communication, because of his Nightwing side, Haze is quite adept at Vortal communication, telepathy and empathy, and can communicate with others of his world's breeds easily at up to 5 miles. He can also speak verbally, able to use numerous draconic tongues and human speech, though it always sounds as though a dozen cicadas are trying to interrupt.
Psionics, with both 'unique' Hive features and strong Nightwing forces at work, Haze is extremely good with emotional and behavior controls, like Steel himself. This mainly however works on intelligent creatures other than Humans or Vorts, but dragons and non-human entities are the focus. While his power over them isn't as profound as Steel's is on humans, Haze can insert ideas or nix others in dragons, raise spirits or dull a mob. He does have to avoid being swept up in this himself, but he is true to his name in more than color scheme: he can use this power to put a single non-humanoid in a daze, briefly stunning them and rendering them easier to handle if they've gone off the deep end or are endangering themselves. This effect lasts about half an hour, though for stronger Vortal dragons this may be as short as 5 minutes.
Heat Breath, though Nightwings are known to have fire breath, Haze uses little more than a bit of warmth, usually to keep cold refugees warm on those desert nights.

Other Info: Though very scary looking, Haze is more the 'stern fatherly' type than a mean grump. When he must, he will absolutely put fear into hearts around him just to shut people up. But he does so in order to help calm or put things into perspective, aiding Steel by forcing an overall mood of dragons, where Steel deals with the humanoids.
