Powers	Transformation Sequence and Emotional Control Powers - Although Vidura is a second generation American his family is very, very big on their Indian culture and current events. And as such, Vidura's powers surfacing in the form of 'Bollywood' seem to fit right in. When he needs to begin his transformation into an APEX Ranger, or just start a show, it seems all he needs to do is glance around dramatically, bob his head to an unheard beat, and suddenly there's a pile of swirling skirts and dancing going on. His outfit, regardless of what he's wearing before, comes off in a dramatic slide on the floor, leaving whatever other legwear he's got somewhere 'else'. At times his shirt is also missing, or at least open and more breezy, it just depends on the mood or needs of the moment. Always in shades of black and white, sometimes with a little grey, cream, or silver thrown in, this outfit allows him a very wide range of movement while also attracting the attention he needs. He often enough does still have the headset on just in general, it's never fallen off his head even though he's dancing energetically across the halls. His power is innate, and cannot be dropped or used by others unless they also have an ability that can 'soak' it or access it, and he has a very strong resistance to such powers - unless they are divine in nature. He has the ability to control the emotional states of up to 3 dozen individuals around him at up to 50 meters away, or anything 'within hearing range' that both can hear human-range audible sounds, and has emotions. (An emotionless creature or robot will hear the songs, but not respond; an energy being that can't be affected by sound or matter might have an inkling that there's a power in use but not actually 'hear' it, for instance.) He must be able to sing or at least speak and be heard, for this power to work on anyone, so if he is somehow incapacitated, or if there is a blanket power or a static field that could nullify sound, he's not able to control. He can still do quite a bit without that, however. -- Spontaneous Dancing, Bollywood is his passion, and there's a song for everything, right? When a group is needed out of the way or in the way, he can assemble one out of those nearby. If they're able to get up and dance about, they will and what's more is they will enjoy every moment of it. This is extremely useful for getting people to safety, as they will prowl and pirouette and skip down hallways or around stairwells out of a burning building, or away from the lunatic on the street corner to isolate them from harm. This is what he does for the most part, and when the team is working on something that is less individually dangerous he will also make sure there's a good crowd to see them doing it, cheering for the team -- Is It Love? He can sense strong emotions among the people around him, generally under 10 meters away with the ability to discern overall state of mind and agitation levels. When he makes notes about the folks who have strong feelings toward - or against - another person he'll actively look for that pair, and set up a meeting. Whether that means they agree to disagree and get it out of their system or finally admit their feelings to one another, it's as a performance and as above they will enjoy doing it even if it's hashing out their enmity. This lasts only as long as the people involved still have friction - perhaps coaxing out the shy partner to admit their feelings may take more encouragement, and he often uses a simple sit-down chat before arranging this fateful meeting, it might mean someone needs to go to therapy afterward and he'll also help prepare an angry kid for that too -- Fade To Black, this power allows him to simply nullify all strong emotions nearby, and cause up to 20 people to go into a somewhat dormant state, blankly pausing as if the scene has frozen. They are not 'actually' frozen in time, but they won't remember what happens next, and can be easily walked around, led by him or others, to safety. This is useful for very dangerous situations, as he can be selective as to who is affected. They will 'wake' several minutes later with no memory of how they got where they are, but they will generally be 'safe' from whatever harm was about to befall them where they had been. This is also good for those moments when you really need privacy. If people among that number have stronger psionics, magic, or divine backgrounds, they might resist, but overall it seems he can target virtually anyone (biological) with it -- The Plot Thickens, if there is a need for someone to reveal what they're doing, what they've been up to, or what they want, Vidura's gentle hum can incite them to blurt it out in a monolog format or even a rap battle with him. A kind of 'truth serum' in song form, this can affect a person for about 3 minutes, usually long enough to expose where they planted bombs, who they were gunning for, who hired them, etc. Stronger resistance might mean a rap battle, while weaker individuals would just speak straight -- Divine Intervention, the thing with Bollywood is that there's always a supernatural twist. Whether it's in a simple love story, a complicated political thriller, or a tale of rags to riches - there's always the chance that the divine entities will become interested in all of this, or even turn out to be the ones controlling the action. This isn't under his control, but when Vidura begins his songs any and all divine entities, or even those who are of divine descent, will start bopping along, easily listening in. At times they may also simply drop what they're doing and join in, sometimes to the point of annoyance because 'why are you interrupting the love song!' but usually just to watch with hearts in their eyes. It might also turn ugly, his emotion control has been known to spark actual rivalries among the local supernatural population even if unintended
Clusters 21	Strong Psychology +4 You don't have to be a tremendous intellectual to understand how people work (in fact sometimes he chides those big brains for over-thinking it). Vidura is a very good example of understanding and actively pursuing the knowledge of how people think, act, and the consequences of actions upon them. They're his whole life, and he wants very much to help them all. He knows he can't help everyone, but if he can briefly alleviate anger or fear, or show a depressed person that there's always still hope, he will do it no questions asked Perfect Pitch +3 He's never needed coaching, but has had instruction for a variety of different types of music along his whole life. Always musical, he was given plenty of leeway for what he wanted to concentrate on. So he can not only play the piano and violin, he can tune instruments purely by ear and has the experience with his hands to use the tools needed for odder ones

His memory for music is legendary, and he intends to keep up on all the modern music as well as add to his extensive collection over time, tapping all of it for inspiration - it's not just Hindi native music that he uses as a backdrop for the flash mobs! His DJ sets are impressively varied Cultural Immersion +3 Vidura enjoys listening to people talk about their home worlds, their cultures, habits, restrictions, and histories. He will eagerly sample foods from everywhere, ask if he can try on the outfit style, and practice his ceremonial bows and posturing, and respects the wishes of those who say no to any of that. He isn't about appropriation, but he singularly loves the new things he can learn from others of very different backgrounds Takes Command Easily +3 He is perceptive and active when out and about, and can spot both weak points and important features among the people near him. When the team is called out, he's often on hand first to make sure that there is a clear corridor away for the innocent bystanders, and will self-start to make sure that the others with more visible and dangerous abilities are able to do their thing without being hindered. He does occasionally sing orders to his team mates, but he isn't actively their 'leader' unless he knows they're all okay with it, since they trade off that duty frequently enough
Knacks 6	He Will Never Really Settle Down +/-4 Yes, that is plus or minus - he flirts with anyone and everyone, bats his eyelashes and hangs out in the locker halls casually posturing, and while he truly loves quite a few people, the chances of him actually deciding 'this is the One' are nearly zero. His family ... doesn't much care for that aspect. Even the randy heroes of his shows eventually marry and make the most of their status, why won't he? Well, because there's always more out there! Why deny himself or others the joy of being with him? (yes, yes he is that arrogant about himself but he truly is a catch, right?) This might mean someone gets jealous and has a falling-out with him or their friend who he's also flirting with, it causes a bit of envy or wistful thinking, but all in all he's a masterful flirt and will never stop being one with all the baggage and bells and whistles that implies Stylish and Cultured +3 When he does put on something more modest or from another's culture, he wears it very well. Other Info	He is part of the APEX RANGERS, and due to his power to 'bring pairs together' similar to the Lwa, is Sponsored by Magni Darrow ^ He has a special arrangement with the Marching Band. Since they are often required for sports events and travel quite a bit, that would directly conflict with his APEX team functionality. He helps design and work with the daily routines for the band and their performances, while there are others to direct them during events. If he's available for those events (usually local, on-site football or other matches) he will eagerly direct the band's movement along side the professor and her helpers
