Lienda was filled with excitement - here she was back at a Nexus dragonry, and one or two of her distant relatives were hanging out in the stands, watching for her to pair up. However, she knew full well that this place was accepting sponsorships - and the dragons hatching seemed to know that too. First off of course, the dragon parents were far from the traditional Pernese or other types, one was a lovely clouded purple color, while the other was an exotic midnight-violet shade. Sayienth and Drtwi'Suah proudly looked on as their clutch of eggs hatched. The first that hatched was a pretty green, followed by a fantastically beautiful rainbow and a blue-midnight one. Most had clouded markings on their hides, muting the colors a bit. Lienda sighed, it was a shame that one girl was able to bond to the rainbow, but there would surely be something appropriate for herself. Right? After all Lienda could command dragons, right? Well eventually, after a red and then a black came to announce their intentions, the next egg revealed a dainty cloudy marked purple, who distinguished herself first by choosing to talk aloud instead of telepathically. "Carramba High sounds interesting, and I'll bet I'm good with kids. Can I help you out when I'm older? Oh, by the way, I'm Lityr'Sadr." The dragon said quickly to Lienda, a toothy grin on her face. Lienda paused, overwhelmed at first by the enthusiastic dragon, but recovered quickly with a smile. "Sure you can, Lityr. Let's get you some food for now, though." Lityr heartily agreed. A talking dragon! Well that wasn't so unusual now that the Protectorate lived mainly on Alskyr, but still - it was something unique to her! "You know that while you're still little," Lienda commented while the dragonet ate, "you can come to classes anyway. I mean," she fluffed her hair, "you're already talking in complete sentences and that's more than some of my friends can do..." ... So she did eventually start classes. She took her time, because she was rather picky about them. They had to be taught at the right time of day, and by the right instructor. Lienda had the patience to watch this and enjoy it, the councillors at the school were a little less so. They encouraged her to take classes that would help her if she wanted to aid the Childcare services, things which would give her an edge when they asked weird questions. Lityr'Sadr politely took a couple of their suggestions, but also added some which she thought would add a little flair to her life. Why else would a dragon be attending a Fashion class? *** Over the summer, Lityr grew quickly into a graceful if small sized dragoness. According to Lienda's friends in the weyrs, she was hardly blue sized, though that was more than enough for the girl to handle. "I think it's a good thing you're grown and ready to attend the school properly now," Lienda said with a grin, as she helped scrub the dragon's itchy neck. "So I'm going to see you in class?" They were both going to be in Junior year, and had decided upon a couple classes they'd like to keep together on. But Lityr'sadr knew soon enough they would be off either together or apart, to find other dragons to sponsor at Carramba! "I think I will enjoy my classes, Lienda. I like that man who does magic. Piers the president." Lienda sighed with a dreamy grin, "Yeah, President Hoarfrost," she giggled. "Think he's too old for me?" "I think he is too old for your grandmother," Lityr' chuckled, and they continued grooming well into the evening. *** Eventually they did part ways, since Lienda was graduated and raising her own children, and Lityr had other designs. She remained as a 'local' dragon, however, after having discovered the nearby magic community of Wonder. Escorting parents and their children to and from the coastal Carramba location to the mountain-shrouded Wonder was her new profession, and she enjoyed it quite a bit! She would keep her name, though, Lityr'Sadr was not going to be re-bonding, herself.
