Name: Mochifa Ne (moh CHEE fah ney) Age: around 85, a mature adult, but with an extended lifespan not typical for her species, expected to live around 150 Species: Cerean, female Family: Unknown, but she has had at least two children raised by the Jedi temples as they exhibited strong Force tendencies. She was not married nor in a poly group among her kind, rather their fathers were found among both Force-sensitive and normal groups; she was taken with permission to one of the local Jedi Temples, and raised by her parents there. Since her culture is fairly specific and her species bears many oddities, she still had to learn her own physiological quirks before truly excelling in the Force Profession: Master Jedi, having been found at the age of 6 and training for almost 20 years under the guidance of several Masters, and graduating to Knight around age 30. She specializes in nature studies, animal training and mastery, biological sciences, environmental engineering, and the like. Mainly her training and focus for her Padawan will involve decisionmaking and 'big picture' analysis, diplomacy, and understanding how the Force connects everyone and everything. She has a gentle hand with younglings and enjoys listening to their discussions among themselves for the perspective of youth and innocence Origin: Cerea, and the Jedi Temple on Jedha (which she found to be much too cold for her liking) Current Whereabouts: Twoarth's Xen, see story! Height/Build: 6'6", tall and evenly built, with the long and strong torso, legs used to walking and hiking, and she's quite easily able to keep pace with her Wookiee friend Appearance: ruddy peach skin tone, she has several small markings along her neck and back, and some number of scars from practice and the occasional run-in with dangerous animals or locals; hair is quite long and is deeply rust-red, with coppery highlights, kept to her hips and usually tied into a braid or tail rather than put up, her bushy eyebrows are also this shade; her eyes are eerily yellow, uncommon at best for Cereans, high and slanted, narrow, and lined below with indications of age. She wears traditional tan and graphite colored Jedi tunic and pants, adding brown leather boots and a heavy cloth belt in which she may keep far more small items than you'd expect. Her voice is normally both confident and quiet, if she must raise her voice people do know that something is amiss; she has a very large technical and scientific vocabulary, and can speak numerous languages having learned them as a child at the Temple from other species younglings Force Abilities: Her strongest asset is her mind, as many Cereans are exceptionally intelligent and she is stellar among them. |

Lightsaber: Vibrant green blade, indicating her choice of a Consular study. She rarely uses this blade but is definitely a master at its functions. She does tend toward the use of it in a passive manner when fighting - deflecting blasts or small projectiles, cutting branches to fall in the way, or distracting fighters with a thrown and telekinetically retrieved toss. She will not use it to threaten, though she has had to fight for her life in the past, killing her opponent, and hated it immensely, knowing that there should have been a better way. She does still enjoy training forms and meditation techniques involving it, and has truly loved watching the Vortigaunts in their group learn how to use theirs! |

**read the rest of the group page and their original team-up She enjoyed watching the humans of this strange place, not that they were in any way native. Though most of them lacked Force abilities, there were always discussions about powered people 'who could do this without a ladder' or 'power it up with their lightning'. The scientists she most typically listened to were the biologists, 'xenobiologists' they insisted, as if hound-eyes and Vortikind or indeed herself or her friends weren't biological... Understanding the ways a specific world's environment worked was important, of course, but acknowledging that all life had its place on any world where it grew, that was important as well. There were a couple scientists that wanted to study her and her friends, obviously. How did she have two hearts, did they operate independently? Could she have two heart attacks? Would one suffice? She carefully answered questions like those since she'd had to field them from curious younglings, this was hardly different. These people had a world that was as fascinating to her, as hers was to them, after all! And this world, Xen, was different from all of them. It had attracted numerous 'field trips' from the schools both local to the main facility back in the desert of their company's home world as well as those from the school that several of the employees worked at on the coastline. Some day she would go there, perhaps. Since the dragons flying around were hardly native to either Xen or Twoarth, she'd like to see their homes, too. Or perhaps, they would come to her. It wasn't a pulse from the portal that brought one small and then-wingless dragonet to her side. During a field trip from Carramba High, apparently this dragonet had been born there, hatched from an egg that was drifting along its own unusual multidimensional path. Whether one of the Lanes or his variations had anything to do with it (he did), this little dragonet was curious and beautiful in equal measure. Her voice was weak, but her sounds were strong and sang to Mochifa. "Of course I will be with you!" She replied, and the golden dragonet puffed up with a glorious ripple of chittering from her antennae. She was perhaps three years old, hatched on campus in their 'dragony program', and it wasn't more than half a year later of exploration and strength training, learning the ways she could use her silk or songs, that the still-unnamed dragonet went into her first cocoon. Though Mochifa knew this wasn't a full metamorphosis, the body within the pale beige lumpy teardrop shaped nest still existed fully with its bones and scales intact, when the young dragon emerged after a month long rest, she had the buds of what would become her signature feature. And so she was named, Dustmote, when she and Mochifa went back to Black Mesa's New Mexico facility and romped around in the dry dusty landscape. Mochifa, Dari, and Jargra went to Twoarth for an extended period. Jargra, unsurprisingly, found that the research facility was very much to his liking! While Dari and her Master headed westward, Dustmote proudly displaying her knowledge of the Carramba campus by showing them around it. They met up with not only one or more of the Lane doppelgangers, but more Vortigaunts, more engineers and scientists, and a Force sensitive woman whose name struck a very strong chord with Mochifa. Kenobi wasn't a name dropped lightly after all, and particularly not since he was a Jedi Master not known to have children? (At least... not known to other Jedi that is...) She was an instructor, Karen headed several Force-based classes. As they sat to discuss how any of this was possible, it seemed that perhaps, somehow, the distant galaxy they were from... might not be the same one. "After all," Karen pointed to the varied Vortigaunts, "they aren't from the same dimension as one another. The ones that came with your group definitely aren't from the same ones that He knows," she then would have pointed out the shadowy figure of Lane nearby, but he waved with a smirk from his cafe table, and sipped his ever-present coffee. "They... aren't?" Mochifa had to consider this now, that there were not just multiple dimensions... but they collided, sometimes gently and sometimes not so much. Karen and Mochifa spoke at length about their disparate realms. Since Mochifa had largely spent time away from the core worlds, instead trekking for many years with younglings in the mid and outer rim, she hadn't heard much about the difficulties between factions in the Senate, nor of any great disasters on the horizon. In the end, they decided that perhaps Mochifa's group was more displaced in time, rather than dimensions, because most of the other details they could focus on were the same. Even then though, disparate timelines and future knowledge were strangely intriguing to her. But it was a future that only would be met if and when they took trips through Karen's "personal" portal - using her dragons - back to her home temple on Izorrat. They didn't even know about that world, and that, she claimed, was as it should be. Both it and Ketvaozh had been struck from any records in the modern era. Even after the fall of the Empire, it would be best to keep prying eyes off of these worlds, just in case. It saddened Mochifa that their 'case' would be 'if Imperial loyalists come around', which they would, at times, drift dangerously close. But not to Izorrat, only the drier Ketvaozh, where Dustmote began learning to fly. While she herself was more suited to a forest and lush world, Mochifa watched as her dragonet friend became a true master of flight! The warm drafts, steady wind, and... oh yes, the Force? Ketvaozh was a mineral rich world, barely even scratched before the woman Daara Daniil was in charge of it - and once she was, and was introduced similarly to Karen and her entourage, the 'scratching' was only for the rich caverns of kyber crystals. "So much intrigue," Mochifa sighed, "so much deception, but it's worth doing to keep those crystals safe." "The other formations on worlds have mostly been either forgotten or destroyed," Karen said, and hinted that the few remaining ones might benefit from draconic guardianship as well. But for Mochifa and Dustmote, it would be back to Xen for a while, and then... Off to Ketvaozh! Daara collected numerous Force-sensitive children and families, and though Mochifa's training was 'old style', Kuwwippuy's even more so since he was much older, it seemed that having a less rigorous and monastic existence was of tremendous benefit to the younglings. Their families could help encourage them, teach them their culture and history, while their Force masters would work with each child to grow their distinct skills. Under Mochifa's guidance and with several others' expertise in engineering and structural design, they built a new Force Temple on Ketvaozh - not a Jedi Temple, no, one dedicated to the Force itself, instead of a set of outdated ideals - and she began working directly with the younglings there. |
