Name: Jodinga Kenermes (joe DING ah KEN ur mez) Age: 23 at battle of Mygeeto, held in stasis, before fall of the Jedi Species: apparently a 'mutt' with a number of humanoid lines mixing, though his mother was known to be Mirialan Family: unknown, raised in a creche with other Jedi children Profession: A Jedi Knight, fully made knight status a year before injuries forced him to seek aid; he is quite talented with a blade, aggressive and observant of other techniques from varied fighting forms, and treats those like a game; he can easily outwit or out maneuver most opponents once he has observed them, plus he doesn't seem discouraged or annoyed to lose matches - as he feels this is a learning experience and adds that information to his extremely good memory to apply later. He has an unusually colored brilliant orange beamed lightsaber Origin: unknown, records beyond the species of his mother are long gone* Current Whereabouts: with the Kaminoans in their Dome, later at Karen's Temple ABY 16ish Height/Build: 6'3", quite tall and lean in build, he has tremendous flexibility and balance, as well as speed to match; it seems that at least one of his grand- or great-grandparents must have been a Chiss with that height Appearance: with pale green tinted skin, he has several scars easily visible on his face and shoulders, they are not Mirialan tattoos but instead are remnants of the explosion which damaged both him and After. They have not healed even after this long, though he claims they are not painful, and on very careful examination, there are still tiny flecks of that crystal embedded into his flesh there. His hair is a dusty blue shade, satiny and quite straight, though it does turn up at the ends when cut, and is kept around the nape of his neck. His eyes are a steely green-blue shade, narrow, under reasonably expressive and heavy brows. He's easily seen as attractive by most humanoids, and always has a pleasant smell about him, even if he's sweaty - betraying a drop or two of Falleen genes, though it's unclear how a reptilian breed snuck in his line... He does have a bit of a nasal sound to his voice, occasionally letting off a screech or the very rare voice crack, which he then uses as a bit of comedic relief. Jodinga chooses to keep to a more or less traditional Jedi appearance for his clothing, in browns, tans, and beige robes, with added formalwear when needed, though he looks decent enough in virtually any kind of clothing, and has never complained about excess heat or cold |

* Jodinga is a mutt by virtue of his being engineered on his father's side of the family. At some point in the past, around BBY 80, his great-grandmother commissioned the Kaminoans to 'brew her up' something, and this required the use of extensive genetic work on their part. Only the other Kaminoans could possibly realize the depth of this engineering, though these days, and in their current setting, they don't even really care. It shouldn't come up, aside from "can I breed with x", and the answer will definitely be "yes". It seemed that great-grandmama had a checklist of traits that she desired in a consort, and those have been accentuated by her children's partners and descendants. It's not clear how many siblings, cousins, aunts and uncles, or other relatives Jodinga has but it's very likely that they number in the dozens if not scores, given his lifespan and ease of breedability, as well as desirable appearance. If he's any sample of his line, they are all quite the catch indeed. Jodinga's traits already included a natural flexibility and intelligence, but once he was brought to the Ontogeny department below the waves of Kamino, others were tweaked. First they did have to establish a baseline for all those traits: it was unusual that they couldn't easily identify what species or tribe he might have been from, to provide the correct medical or genetic therapy. So they went digging, and were quite pleased that their prior work stood up to several generations of natural breeding. Their notes on him include quite a few of those same bullet listed traits his ancestress demanded, and likely more. He is exceptionally long-lived, although that life can certainly be cut short at the end of a blaster; the scientists note that his life expectancy is nearly three hundred standard years. He can see slightly into both infrared and ultraviolet frequencies of light and color, though not to the degree that a Kaminoan can on ultra, which seems to afford him a stronger depth perception and accuracy, he senses motion far more keenly. In fact his sense of physical motion is more akin to slow-motion film capture, and his memory is able to replay bits to memorize them. His muscle memory is also quite astonishing, and he can accurately repeat the same motion dozens of times without error. The Kaminoans wondered whether he had been trained in their facility, in fact (he had not). Though he is strong, it's not an abnormal degree. But he is flexible and quick, more than twice as fast if he puts his mind to it, in a dead run. His manual speed however is where he really shines, anything from around his shoulders to fingertips he can move in a blur all but invisible to onlookers! His grip on that lightsaber better be good... While he is busy knocking blaster bolts back to their source, he can take a quick glance around him for cover, a vantage point, or other opponents, and engage with that the moment he's in the clear. Jodinga does prefer being in open grounds, rather than close quarters, for fighting purposes; he's able to fully engage opponents and the environment outdoors or in a large practice venue rather than limit himself to a narrow hallway or small room. He is markedly more intelligent than most, though he has always kept this intellect tucked away and useful primarily for memorization and tactical expression. But the fact is that he can learn at a staggering rate; he is no 'underachiever', but he doesn't really care much for too-high-tech knowledge, preferring to be able to banter with folks of any breed about their favorite sports or local politics, and make jokes that won't be lost on a big group. He can certainly say he's got a talent with people, even without his unusual pheromone production. Though he's quite charming, he was raised as a Jedi, but with them no longer being in the same... dimension? galaxy? time? he's less inclined to care about whether he is 'supposed' to be gettin' busy. He is absolutely, getting busy... Jodinga is easy to like, and falls in with virtually any crowd very quickly. He could have been of use as a spy, infiltrator, politician, or used starship trader with equal gusto. He is force-sensitive to a very strong degree, which may be accentuated by the fact that those scars on his face and shoulders were caused by shards of kyber crystals (from the same explosion that gravely injured After, in fact) and he barely avoided being impaled by virtue of putting up an instant shield. Because they do have several subjects from that specific battle to look at, the Kaminoans have determined that those who were brushed by that large crystal (violently brushed... punctured really) have all been seen to have expanded abilities since that incident. Jodinga is no exception. Before that event, he was very good at telekinesis, able to lift and throw a multitude of small items, though he tended not to try for the big things like vehicles or large rocks. He could 'juggle', and even manipulate fine details like locks or knots with the Force. After the incident, though it was first surmised that it was due to trauma, this power almost went out of control: he was throwing around books, rocks, spare weapons, clothing, anything that wasn't nailed down seemed to whirl around him if he got agitated. Since his wounds weren't healing, and since the Kaminoans had already been tapped with several injured on the field there that day on Mygeeto, the Jedi council decided that he would be best placed there to help heal him physically, so he could concentrate on his own spiritual healing later. Even in a stasis vat, his power was strong enough that it had to be isolated and reinforced, so that there were no loose bits to be flung. Only with several years behind him, did this effect slightly subside, and is now more or less under control once more - at a far greater field of effect. What he could once pick up at around 20 meters, he can now easily reach at 50. If he balked at picking up a forklift, he can throw one a hundred meters with strength now. His ability to sense through the Force is considerably stronger than it had been, and he's still trying to adjust to it. He has become more keenly empathic, able to sense the emotions as well as exert a larger amount of control over individuals nearby using his 'suggestion' ability. Jodinga can easily spot other Force users within 500 meters, and this has now started to also detect other types of 'mystical' abilities: from psionics to outright magic, anyone with a strong power or unusual ability he can 'see'. Force ghosts? Oh yes, they are all around, people just didn't see them apparently. They are even around here where they are now. Which he thinks is both pretty weird, and very good. ** -- The Kaminoan Otogeney dome is the only known surviving Kaminoan technology and population, with a variety of injured and cloned individuals kept safely hidden from the slaughter of the Jedi, and the bombardment of Kamino -- The Dome is visited by a non-local dragon, and contact is established with the Temple on Izorrat and Karen Kenobi; it is with the dragons' help that the dome is moved to Twoarth after a large gathering of those roused from their stasis or bacta tank recovery -- Some contact with Ketvaozh and Daara Danil in ABY 15 means that many new younglings are being found with Force sensitivity, and are generally sent from the safety there to the hidden Temple, where Jodinga resides ** The Temple was growing fuller by the month, and Jodinga and the other Jedi there were quite pleased. The dragons were also enjoying all of this tremendously. Sometimes they would spring off to other worlds, even other dimensions, and Jodinga would watch them fly and vanish with a strange sense of awe. He, like some very strong Force users here, could actually see the bubble around them when they decided where to go, the power that they exerted visible only to those with the eyes to see it, leaving an afterimage or trail faintly visible. Because they kept doing this, Izorrat had become sort of a hyperspace migration stop-off point for the elegant Purrgil and the wily Loth-Wolves, both up in the highest atmosphere and near space for the flying whales, and the outcrops and forests where the wolves would gather briefly. They fascinated him, their abilities to use the Force to create tunnels through hyperspace, as biological beings? Incredible! He was sure that the Kaminoans would want to sample those genetics of theirs - both the dragons and the local creatures - for such a feat would surely be uniquely tagged? Jodinga was nudged by one of the smaller dragons nearby, who pointed out that one of those hyperspace tunnels was located on the Temple grounds. And, that it was opening. They watched as he sped off to observe it, the light from that tunnel growing brighter in his Force vision but equally in visible light. There was a sound with it too, waves crashing, wind blowing, the crackling of lightning and a warm fire? Quite an odd sensation, he had never really thought about what sounds the Force made? Or even what hyperspace sounded like! Neither! It's magic! I guess it's not all my magic though... The voice was crackling with power, and the creature it belonged to was... "You're magnificent!" Jodinga exclaimed, looking at this feather winged masterpiece. Shyvet Rapidfire, at your service! The ... dragon? bowed and ruffled his white-tipped crest? Mane? As Jodinga approached, it became clear that this amazing entity had decided to arrive here because 'reasons', leaving their homeworld to explore. An opportunity presented itself, I took it! "Well I'm glad you did, and... let me show you around! I hope you like kids, we've got plenty of them..." |
