Name: Dale Douglas aka Operative Daddy-O

Gender: Male, baby!

Age/DOB: Appears to be mid to late 20s / Born in 1937

Origin: Magical

Family: Unknown, all deceased, has no known children

Other: Currently his girlfriend is Willowisp

Height: 6'1"

Weight: 180, strongly muscled torso but is evenly built, he doesn't skip leg day but also doesn't know what 'leg day' is, most of his physique tone is from working on cars and engines all day and dancing all night

Hair: dark brown with coffee-and-cream overtones; styled in the manner of a 'greaser' from the 50s and 60s somehow not needing any more grease than he has from the auto garage, and sports magnificent sideburns. He doesn't need to shave, but does have perpetual 5 o'clock shadow - he could shave, but even if he doesn't, it's still just stubble stuck in time

Eyes: teal blue-green, though usually hidden behind aviator yellow lenses so they tend to look more amber hazel. He does not need glasses for vision correction, they just look super-cool

Appearance: light skinned with just enough tone to not burn and peel in the summer. Has surprisingly perfect body hair, no waxing or effort needed, just like his head hair... He is every bit the rugged manly-man of the 50s, with a strong and upright posture, but not stiff. He has a deep and resonant voice, useful since his powers are 'sonic' based! Imagining Johnny Bravo isn't wrong, here. He prefers good durable denim pants and jacket, leather will do too if he's riding a motorcycle, but he's never without his white undershirt and excellent leather work boots. He pops that collar of course! When he's using his powers, an aura of strangely orange-tinted energy can be seen, sigils and symbols floating around his head and hands as he 'casts' his songs at enemies. All of his sonic powers are visible as such, the waves and vibrations are magical in nature and match his outfit and glasses nicely. He has the strange scent of cloves but not clove cigarettes, more the kind that are used in ceremonies and magic rituals.

Abilities/Skills: For whatever reason, Dale has appeared as a young adult ever since that time and shows no signs of aging. He also rarely shows signs that he acknowledges the passage of time, always with a snapping finger and the suave crooning of his era audible in his attacks. Those shown below are ones that he uses regularly, and are reasonably impactful. The sonic abilities he uses also seem to 'soften up' enemies, occasionally disorienting them, and even knocking them over with pressure waves and sheer volume! His dark armor has a mood to it that always causes fear in just people he wants to scare - he could walk through a playground of toddlers with his 'cloak of fear' on but only the hoodlums trying to shake down the parents would cower and shake. It also seems to protect him from any overt harm, mitigating even physical damage, but also blocking almost all 'negative' or void energy as that's where his own power is from. He is also a natural leader, offering teams quick and powerful bonuses to their attacks and defenses with his encouragement and commands.

Duties: He is a "Handler" rank in SACCADE for a reason. Not only because he's been around as long as he has, and has been essential to the team's roster early on, but because he can in fact 'handle' quite a lot of things. From organizing teams and canvassing neighborhoods for dangers, to making sure that everyone at a party or event has the right drink in their hand and the tunes are to their liking.

Daddy-O as a hero shows up right on time, not 'in the nick of it' or too early for the action to start. He will scope out an area if there seems to be villainy afoot though, and has a list of locations across Paragon (and other places apparently) that make for good makeout spots or have great acoustics for a concert.

Situated in Suite 6 cohabited with Willow, Dale runs his garage side business and helps fix vehicles for the group. Normally they are just cars, trucks, and bikes, but he has been known to dabble with other forms of transportation. He's not the one to look for hovercraft or jets, but jet-skiis and maybe even jetpacks! Sure!

Personality: He has been enlisted by a variety of agencies over the years, to infiltrate or observe many subversive groups, though he considers himself a free agent. When a local to Beautiful His Area turned up and formally asked if he'd become part of this particular organization, he jumped at it. Price and Dale have quite a bit in common - Price is a repairman, and Dale a mechanic, they both had their powers somewhat thrust on them thanks to the Circle of Thorns, and also both have a strong opinion on music. Oddly enough though, Dale does not see Price as 'stuck up' or even a stiff-neck type. He knows things, that man, and Dale likes his style. Dale is not the ladies' man that he could be if his attitude hadn't evolved with the ages he's seen. Even if he looks and sounds straight out of a 50s sitcom, and he doesn't really talk about the events that shaped the world overall, he was definitely part of the Feminist movement in the 60s, Free Love and all that but responsibility too, right? He was not tapped for the draft in the Vietnam War, because, according to his records, he would have been too old for it by that time. He might have also been excluded thanks to some of his prior experiences with the CIA...

History: Dale Douglas might have been the victim of a hidden soul-stealing cult, had it not been for the interference of a neighboring sock hop. In the nearby park a dark ritual was going on, but the endless tunes blasted out from the gym and the incessant cheering caused some of the chants to go awry. Suddenly they weren't stealing his soul, he was becoming the master of it!

**

It had been at least a decade since Price recruited him for SACCADE, and in that time Dale had seen plenty of action in the field. (And a bit here and there behind the bleachers if you know what I mean nudge nudge wink wink!) One day however, Price called him aside and there was an extra-extra shadow lurking around. It wasn't Price's and it wasn't his kid Ebony's, and for all the world it looked back at him when he peered closer.

"That's a dragon, man," Dale said, his drawl never having vanished. When it was obvious that he'd noticed, that dragon's form solidified as the shadows billowed and seemed drawn down like a cloak over its dark back.

"Yes, this is Yağ, I ... came home with her from the Checkerboard Ball." Price seemed quite pleased with himself.

"That sock-hop I missed," Dale sighed, "Leave it to me to be stuck in the boonies hunting scarecrows when that went down!"

"Well," Price chuckled, "don't worry, we've found something you might enjoy just as much." He tossed his head and indicated Dale should come with him - and the dragon. The shadows common to all of them enveloped the humans as that dragon with the funky name moved them 'somewhere else'. Dale and Price both knew that this transit was directly through the chill of the Void, but not the Netherworld - it was filled with someone else's spirts...

They however emerged on the other side of that transport in a far brighter and more animated location. There were so many colors, Price looked absolutely out of place, and his dragon seemed to vanish in her own puff of smoke for a while. But Dale breathed in deeply and could sense that this place was inherently filled with magic.

The pompom-wrists and the bright golden wingsails of a dragonet popped up in front of that vista he was trying to appreciate, and Dale scampered backwards a little.

Didn't mean to scare ya!

"You totally did," Dale laughed loudly, almost letting one of his sonic powers off before he realized it wasn't a threat. He distinctly got the impression that this place, while it might be dangerous, held no inherent danger to him. Like the dragonet now sitting and shuffling his many limbs around - could be dangerous if pressed or cornered, but posed Dale only the threat of a good time.

You're right I did totally mean to make you jump, and you did! I'm pretty good at this!

The fact that the dragon was telepathically communicating with Dale's mind only just then occurred to the man, but by that point, both of them knew that they'd become a team already. It didn't take long to get everything sorted - who he was going home with, where they would be, and can we visit of course you can. The magic of this place was so varied, so bright and colorful, compared to what came from Paragon most of the time. The gloom and doom would have to get a little glitzy from now on, because Risihaan and Daddy-O were on the case!

Dragon

Name: Risihaan Selamputo
Gender: Male
Size/Shoulder/Length: large 19' s / 84' l / 100' and 80' ws
Colors: Gold-Pigmented Opalescent White
Features: Duowing Flurry / Hathian-Askan Mutt; though not technically a Drak, their offspring naming will include that style of lineage inheritances
Powers: Winged Flight, Risi has never felt more alive than when he's in flight. Swooping and hovering and power-diving and doing barrel rolls come entirely natural to him and he hardly ever stops
Teleportation - locally and Nexus wide, tends to reserve this ability for emergencies or business trips where his bond needs to be there right away. It is a bit exhausting, so hopefully wherever they wind up will have a place to crash for a bit
Telepathy, Risihaan is very aware and listens in to the gossip on the street, keeping up with any breaking news and slow burning plots. With a very long range to connect with Dale, Risi can make the supergroup aware of situations as they arise even when he's down at the far end of Independence Port or up in Salamanca
Full and Complete Shapeshifting - Risi can be a human (a pale opalescent one with platinum hair), a 'wolf' with white and gold fur, or even that trash can over there with the gold stripes (someone once commented that he looks like an advertisement for Emperor Cole's cleaning brigade in Nova Praetoria...they're not wrong with the white and gold). Spending roughly equal time on four legs or with four wings in the air, and two feet and two boring hands walking the city streets, Risi can blend in pretty well given that there are literal aliens, monsters, mutants, and wizards all running around in Paragon City
Magical Affinity - Well there was probably a reason he was attracted to this magic-origin hero, right?
Parentage: Hadisha Selamputo and Maeritaan
Origin/Art By: Spectral Wilds, Rainbow Glitz, Ktrenal
Other Info: Personality- Very determined, clever, considerate, loves going to parties
