Their stay at Enzan Shi was quite long, but well worth the wait. Bushish made herself useful by running paperwork and records, messages and whatnot between people's rooms. Enni and Anni on the other hand got some time to reflect upon their leaving their homeworld.

All in all, they thought it was an excellent idea indeed.

When the morning of the hatching rolled around, everyone but Bushish was asleep - the dragons woke everyone up, though. Their huge bellow shocked the whole bunch of candidates wide awake. They could hardly reach the sands soon enough for the dragons upon them!

Lined up, which was something that the Gems were used to doing, by the one female dragon, they waited.

Stunning dragons, one after the next, burst from their shells. One or two of them outright refused to pair up with anyone, and there weren't enough candidates for them all anyway. But finally, from Karith and Lanthirth's clutch, came a most beautiful white. Tiny as could be, the translucent shape of a female came bolting from her parents as fast as she could. She however did a nosedive right near Bushish's big feet.

"Careful, Kelirith," Bushish laughed, helping her up.

See, Bushish! I'm as fast as you!

"You certainly are, beautiful dear!" Bushish smiled. This tiny dragon was just her size! Her pale brother just a touch bigger.

"Pretty Felinruad's offspring is coming to you," someone said, and Enni looked around to see a most spectacular looking male approaching.

Finssyruad at your service, the Amber Brown male announced. He was very polite. He watched the translucent female near Enni's friend with interest, and even let her find the food first.

After a number of other dragons paired or wandered from their eggs, another of Felinruad's brood from a second female looked their way. To Anni, he spoke.

Finssyruad says you guys are interesting. And I have to agree. Will you have me, Anni?

I certainly would, Anni replied with but his mind. This was a nice, private moment between them. It would figure that their bonds be related, since Enni and Anni were as well. The beautiful coloration on both of them though, almost paled when they looked at Bushish's lovely white.

Unlike some of the bonders, the trio waited around for a while at Enzan Shi to get proper instructions for caring for their dragonets. As their bonds grew, so did their personalities. Bushish was always just as jumpy as her white, who was - apparently - quite fun to torment with surprises.

They are out to get me, to get us! She said to Bushish. But the lagomorph only laughed at that.

Fariyruad had to constantly chastise his half brother, that is not a nice thing to do to her. You know she is skittish. She's so tiny, it's no wonder.

"That's right," Enni commented, trying to get Finssyruad to behave.

She's the one always getting attention, the dragon grumbled.

"You don't have to try getting back at her, she's just very pretty is all. You're gorgeous too, you know..." The scaled man said. With that, his dragon beamed with pride.

Is this what a game is usually like? Asked Keliryth. Bushish laughed from her position on the field, and bespoke back to her.

Nope. It's usually much more violent.

The Killer Wave was almost stunned into silence, when the group with their dragons arrived to the stellar field. Every one of the players of the Gems stood proudly before their bond. Some were tiny, some were gigantic. All of them seemed to scare the living crap out of the orca-kin and aliens on the opposing team.

I like it that way, lied Fariyruad, the more violent the better then.

The more violence they display, his half-brother said calmly, the more lawsuits will be thrown. We will not intervene, brother. This is their game, not ours.

I want a game for ourselves, the striped electric dragon muttered.

The game went on, as planned, and hardly went the way that the Killer Wave intended it...
