"It looks like a concert venue," Anise said with a grin. She was used to the sticky floors and kicking-paper-cups, the rest of her family slightly less so.

Personality: Entirely the opposite of her sister, Anise is happy, bubbly, and seems at a glance to be an airhead of epic proportion. But this is just plain not true: she isn't as smart as her sister or brother, but she is a certified genius. She just doesn't do the sames things with her smarts - she's scientifically inclined, where it concerns practical applications rather than theoretical ones. She's far more into the social aspects of life in general, and will drop book-studies to play basketball or attend a pep rally for her school friends. She is a bit reckless in that regard - the reason she was grounded after that Homecoming incident wasn't that she herself did anything particularly bad, but she did allow a number of less healthy elements into the Pepper house, who did reasonable amounts of damage.

Though she doesn't always agree with what Ginger wants, Anise understands that they're family - and nothing can separate them. She also knows that the reason their father is so dedicated to time travel devices (and why he often appears sad after using them), is that he hopes to rescue Clover, even if it means finding her in another dimension to do it.

There was the most perfect creature ever to hatch from a shell, sitting right next to that shell among all the rest. Her shell was slightly burnished, not white, but quite pretty and pale-golden, just like her wingsails. The only time she's ever made a fuss about who she hung out with was this moment of hatching. Though plenty of others were still bustling around on the sands, she wobbled confidently up to Anise and bespoke. You are the right one, you're the one for me! But we'll have so much fun, I like how you're so free!

Anise was never one for poetry or rhyming, but had to admit the cadence that the little dragoness had was quite catchy.

Powers: Winged Flight With a massive wingspan, it's easy to see how powerful this gold can be in the air. She's not markedly agile, but she does know some tricks. Just like her word play, she's clever with diving, dropping out of the sky, or even spiraling around. All tricks seemingly innate to Pernese for thread-fighting, but they won't be of use for that awful stuff! She can maintain flight for several hours without a break, and prefers flying at skyscraper-height, not too high and not low.
Teleportation / Betweening As good as she is with flight, she's better at teleportation than her rider likes to admit. But she does have to be very careful: she can teleport at will even on the ground, and everyone in this family knows that teleporting into solid mass is dangerous. She's never harmed even a butterfly in the process, and no one knows how she manages it, but everyone holds their breath and not because between is cold, whenever she teleports.
Communication Meo is chatty as heck, and speaks mentally with a bright chiming voice that absolutely includes giggles and dramatic sighs. She's usually speaking to Anise about something or other, adding commentary, but also will chat up other nearby humans or dragons, a lot of them. She has been known to speak to homeless people, down on the streets of Talon or Crescent City, which at times has led to a few misunderstandings. She has a very long range, able to clearly speak to Anise at any distance, but to other dragons at 50 miles, and humans or other humanoids at 10 miles distance clearly.
Carries Assisted Firebreath Though she'll never need it, her offspring if she has any will inherit a strong firebreath ability, depending on their sire it might need some other chemical compound to trigger, be it 'firestone', coal, or simply a lit match.
