While other shows on TV would run for a year or two and be replaced by something 'new' and more hip, there was one idea that just refused to die. The "throw em in a group house and see what happens" show. Reality TV. Often at its worst (though honestly on Twoarth television was miles away better than many other similar worlds, and their reality tv actually showed reality instead of scripted versions of it) but sometimes this genre of show had a way with people's hearts. One such show, The Aerie, placed several groups of people and their dragons together in a large (not too large to escape one another's company) dragon-ready locale. The house was a mansion, fit for both human-sized and slightly bigger creatures: they'd had several furry-side architects design it, since they were used to dealing with size differences between species already. After all, if a mouse-morph and an elephant-morph could find a home together - and they had - it would have to be in a home designed with their unique builds and expectations in place. The truly large dragon-sized dragons would have spots in extended wings of the place, there was room for three such dragons, and more than half a dozen smaller ones. Their riders, if they had one, would remain nearby but within the main section of the house. Then, there was a huge kitchen and dining area. This was much closer to the 'dining hall' areas of dragonries or Holds, though with a modern appearance. Gleaming stainless steel and marble surfaces in the kitchen, and one long chrome and glass table to eat at. Breakfast bar, even a private 'booth' for cozy dinners for two. The place was packed with nooks for reading, entertaining, a big-screen tv. All the private rooms contained the proper amenities such as a computer and net hookup, bathing, and the like. But most everyone was expected to spend more of their time together than apart. *** The first to arrive was one of the oddest members of any cast or crew on dragon-oriented television. A Xenomorph dragon, but... not just that. Large, friendly, and most bizarrely colorful - essentially betraying its species norm for the sake of a wider viewing audience. And though its bond contiunally had to assert, "it's an it, a drone, not a 'he' or a 'thing' or 'that scary looking xeno'." Of course, if Amethystos realized he would also have to be explaining himself frequently he might have chosen a different show to film him. He is after all a superhero, and has his work cut out for him day by day. Coming home to an Aerie full of people is just as challenging as his day job... |

A pair of unusually mismatched but quite happy dragons arrived to help flesh out the big 'house'. They could safely be accomodated in one of the larger suites, since they were both no bigger than 'ponies' essentially. Between the two of them, the household is maintained spotlessly. The humanoids must cook for themselves, since both of these dragons are able to find their own meals, but aside from that Boduazh is most often found cleaning up and tidying. Sakhuna offers advice, comfort and warmth, making sure that the quarters are kept at an even temperature with her fire magic. Of all the inhabitants of the Aerie, it's likely these two are the least noticed, but the most appreciated. So don't screw up, because if they stop doing what they like to do, the Aerie would probably fall to pieces! |
