Sun, Moon and Star, a tale of .... Adventure! The trio, their adult dragons, and their friendly flitters began to explore. From what Lethe had told her, Star realized that anywhere they could imagine, they could go. However she was wary: they weren't riding some of those 'Nexus savvy' dragons like Lethe had with her, they were on Pernese ones, albeit colorful dragons. So they began to train up to it. First, they'd learned to fly, then they had to learn how to send their dragon between without error. Once they'd done that, and all three had no issues with it, their structured training came to an end. They followed Lethe back to her home, and practiced there. From the spacious yard she had, up to the nearby hillside. From the hill, up into the peaks beyond. From there - they slowly gained the strength needed to move from one universe to the next without needing someone else to guide them. Star's imaginative writings helped, but Moon's patience and diligence paid off best. They headed "home" first. They went to their world of birth, taken back to a few weeks after they'd left it. That was the hard part - it'd been more than two years since they'd gone, they were now adults in their own right, and hardly looked like the sixteen-year-old fresh-faced kids they had once been. Star's parents took a moment to realize what they were seeing, when that afternoon came. School was in session again, but the trio hadn't been back from their 'trips'. They probably could have timed it a little better, to before the start of school, but Star's folks explained that enough folks thought of them as 'runaways' at most. "We knew you'd come home," Star's father said, and embraced his daughter. But then he pulled the boys together too, "welcome home... You're not staying long, are you?" Moon said, "no, we're heading around... about... Say..." He and Sun looked at one another, then back to Star. "When we're better at it," Sun gently suggested, "do you want to come with us? Come flying with us on other worlds?" Star's mother's eyes bugged out, but she giggled with glee. "I would, oh how I would!" She knew she spoke for both of them. Moon's family was next, and they were duly stunned by the fact that their son was now taller, broader in the shoulder, and older than he should have been. He calmly and quietly explained that it wasn't really a college tour. But then, looking at the trio of dragons - the darkest of which (his) stood at his shoulder nearly the same height as the roof of their house. "Well," his mother sighed, putting on a smirk and wiping away a tear, "we knew you were destined for big things." They did not bother with Sun's family, except for one of his uncles. They had to sneak around the ranch again, it was familiar but so different now that they'd been away. Sun and his family obviously weren't close, but at least he wanted to make sure someone knew he was all right. He didn't mention the dragons, that would just have made it worse. Then, they headed back to another Earth, where their skills in spotting other dimensions could be fostered. Later on, less than a year later for them, they went back to Star's house again, and this time, they carried passengers on the rides of their lives! ***
