The four small eggs that Omid had been sheltering began to hatch, and it was good that the others were also captivated by their own - there wasn't much else going on, there was a storm over the island that had yet to let up after a day, and pretty much no work could be done outside in it.
The foursome descended on Omid's hands, looking at him, and chittering among themselves. They were quite... excitable, in fact they were downright aggressive. It looked like the golden colored male, which hatched last, quickly gained the upper hand in a squabble that would become all too common with them. The violet shaded female appeared to wind up on the bottom of the totem pole, but they all quieted down abruptly when Omid angrily shouted at them, "stop it! Stop that at once," he said, and they sat back, as though... Relishing the anger? "I didn't know what you'd be doing to me," he whispered, "but if you don't behave yourselves, our Holders will have your little heads." Not too much later, the other two Frights joined these, and though it made the whole of the island a little... glum, dark, odd? At least they knew they had good reason to keep this bunch around. When the island found itself the first - and hopefully only - Alien invader which landed because its craft was struck in mid-air by a Sky dragon, the swarm of these little creatures descended upon it. Even from a kilometer away, the Budak children could hear the Alien's screaming. They hadn't killed it, merely scared the crap out of it, and that was something that everyone knew would be just fine for defending the island. Type: Misery Type: Jealousy Type: Regret Type: Agony |
