Planet 20 156 - Monarch Peak, a bright hill (not a mountain) simply covered in wildflowers and low shrubs, with a few taller trees and her shaped-earthen cave home nestled in the center; her home is smooth stone with a mossy 'carpet', situated next to a streamlet that gently wanders down to the valley; there are several exits from this cavern system, and it is almost as much floor space as there is above on the hillside itself. Inside are rooms with gear and goods, and mementos from worlds they've visited, plus a few precious things kept from long, long before on Zekira itself, preserved with the psionic powers of others just like those who shaped her home here. Electric Sense, can detect fields of electric energy including those from living things or machinery, within about 250 meters (sphere)

Residual Psionic Detection, in a small sphere of 50 meters wide, she can detect the energy that has gone before, including the 'dead' minds of those who came along for the ride with the immortals on their ship. They do seem to like that she senses them, and she's willing to allow them to 'see through' her own eyes and powers when they can do that; this does also work with the recently deceased Kin who have stronger powers, and if she's done anything weird it's that sometimes at wakes for their elders or their fallen, she'll help the living get a little closure with their friends before they fade completely

Self-Heal / Light + Shapeshift, this is actually a combined and long-term power which evolved from the use of others. She learned that the exposure to natural light boosted her power to shapeshift quite early on, but also that when she was injured, she outright could focus on 'healing' the cells using this light as stored energy. With it, too, she extended her own lifespan first by little bits, but then realized ... it was thousands of years, tens of thousands, and the other immortals were watching and waiting for her to join them

Empathy, strong but close range, she can detect the emotions of up to 20 individuals without being overwhelmed, but beyond that range the power fails, and with too many people around it might overtake her

Invasive Telepathy, she can detect surface and deeper thoughts, and is easily communicated to by other stronger telepaths, her mind is not particularly 'clear' but it is bright and can be seen 'from miles' by other telepathic people

Specific Shapeshifting, can shift into her 'component' splices, though those are a little weirder than some. Her form is lizard-bird like, with heavy amounts of cat thrown in, and multiple limbs from numerous parts of her ancestry. In other words, she can mutt herself into a biped with wings, or a biped with four arms, or a six legged winged creature, or as shown a four-legged, upright torso taur with large wings... pick a feature, she can work with it; usually she keeps her beak face, which is something that Zhoshdar was known to do, in fact she takes very strongly after her grandmother in powersets. She cannot completely remove all the limbs, either she has a big tail, wings, or extra arms, but working within those things she can almost always be found with thumbs...

Special Light Control, her most used and vastly useful power, she can produce light out of darkness, or even darkness out of light (by extinguishing or changing the frequencies seen). She can move illusory images around with great accuracy and convince anything that can see them they're 'real' at least until they realize they can't be smelled or heard. When needed, she can emulate specific patterns such as the mating dances of certain local bugs, to help encourage a failing population of them to get busy, or the electric static on a video screen - this is where her Electrical power overlaps, as she is capable of carefully manipulating existing light images on screens. There aren't all that many screens but hey she can do it! She can and has weaponized this light, able to shoot a brilliant search beam that can blind enemies or prey, or even focus it down to laser precision, but doesn't like doing any of that. When the aliens and humans attempted their invasions of Planet Twenty, she was certainly willing to put up that fight, causing more than one pilot to veer off course and crash, or believe they were shooting someone's dragon when it was actually one of their own ships. Her ability to soak in natural light is strongly related to this control, and it means she hardly ever actually runs out of endurance when she is able to just be under normal sunlight anywhere.
Physical Mutations / Social Disadvantages
Mutations

Taur Shape Default - at minimum she usually has 6 limbs, legs, arms, wings; however this can go up to 8 in combination, and down to 4 with the above caveat of 'lots of tail'; her legs are feline-like, but while they do have 'paws' they also have sharp heel spikes reminiscent of some of her ancestors', she is part Kshau after all

Flight Capable Leather Wings - with a large wingspan up to 3x her height she has mastered long and slow flights. She can fly for hours though doesn't like to have to flap too hard, so she does this in the brightest and warmest parts of the day when she can re-energize herself, and bolsters her wing muscles to propel herself along even after a full day of flight. She enjoys showing up as a biped with these big wings, the Kin children seem to really love it!

Large Tail - no matter her other configuration, she almost always has a thick, heavy, and long tail that ends in spines pointing back toward her body; this tail can act as a rudder or a weapon, and it is half of her full length from head to tail tip. She can shape the tail to be flatter and broad, expanding her wing shape on very long distance flights, or cause it to grow much longer and more slender, maintaining the mass but not the exact shape, for a whip like range on the tip; she can smash things with this tail for up to 16 points damage

Beak and Bird Features - her hands are often taloned, and have short curved claws on the ends, along with heavy spike-feathered accents from wrist to elbow - there are in fact spines hidden among the feathery fluff there, just like on her legs; she keeps a beak on her face but she can have a more or less humanoid face with lips, she just 'likes it better' when she can 'grin' with a beak

Long Ears - this is part of the older Splice of Life Rhiin line, as almost all the shapeshifters among that spliced group have very long ears to distinguish them from normal shifters. Hers remind one of very long lop rabbit ears, but they are not specific to any creature splice at this point; they offer her stronger and more directional hearing than normal

Spines - she has a variety of short but very dangerous spines on her heels, elbows, and tail; these can deliver up to 4 points of impale damage per point, along with her clawed feet at 4 points and taloned fingers 2 points, she is a formidable hunter, and with the smashing capacity of the tail it's a stun-and-spike operation when she does find her own food

Disadvantages

She incurs up to 8 points of Sanity loss at least 2x, and an additional 4 point loss if one sees her actually shapeshifting in motion, these are temporary losses but she tries to make sure that people know what she is, and how she shifts, to avoid any serious issues with those of more delicate minds

Space and Food Requirements, though she doesn't require a particular diet, she does need a lot of food and space to move around. Thus even as a Zekiran she is considered on the large size, she's not 'short' like some taurs, her head is at least at the same height as most normal humanoids, putting her body and tail at around '3' heights worth of mass, and then there's her wings... She will constantly be nibbling on snacks, she loves honey and fruits, but also if she knows she will be active, she'll chow down on a full meat meal with tubers and veggies and all

Casually Dangerous, the surroundings need to be big because if she is suddenly agitated or startled, her tail and wings might smash into things, her claws definitely leave marks in the floor - oh those lovely hardwood floors in some places? Yeah they're history. Also she's heavy, worth almost four times as much weight as a normal person, so any upper floors or balconies need to be quite sturdy to hold her

Any other 'disadvantages' vanished when they left Zekira ages ago - social disadvantages such as 'she is the descendant of escaped Budak' or 'didn't we breed your parents you're worth too much to let go now' are mitigated by just not being there any longer. Her Education and Social Skill abilities, while still modest, reflect the needs of the world, not their original homeworld and culture

Kinia, abandoned Purrinka

Look at this cutie! Her name is Kinia, and she was (snif!) an abandoned Purrinka! I can't believe that anyone in their right mind would leave a wonderful kitten like this without wanting to love her and keep her close!

She's a Noon purrinka, with the blazing colors of day and the sun! She has a good home now, and she enjoys chasing butterflies just like I do!

Born in White Valley to Hendar and Zhomasdahi, with an extended lifespan that turned slowly into immortality with practice of her shapeshifting. Dahizhia is a remarkably sweet girl and has maintained a steadfast innocence in the face of so many worlds and pains.

Dahizhia is most often found in her centauroid form, which is a more lizardlike one than anything else, sharp claws on all four paws, and a heavily spiked thick tail. She has large, leathery wings in this form, as well as long stiff plumes off her elbows. Her face is most often kept as a semi-bird, with a beak mouth, but her hugely large doe-ears give her a look of sloeness. She has very curly brown and green hair, her skin is sparkling golden, and her eyes are blueish violet, always smiling.

She can shapeshift into three normal forms, including ones which exploit more or less limbs; she has full empathy and telepathy, though the range she has is limited and for that she is thankful. She heals herself from exposure to light -- natural light only, however. She spends a lot of time outside, when on a world, and a lot up in the observation domes basking in the weak light from a million stars. However she can also control light -- bending it and making it into illusory shapes, creating darkness, she's a hit at some people's quarters. She can sense electricity as well as the dead.

She fell for Sacrilege long before she knew he was not all "he" was cracked up to be, or perhaps more than that. Their offspring is Szhraad.

Dahizhia likes bright things, and her quarters show that off. Her favorite creatures are butterflies and other small flying insects or creatures.

Dahizhia has located a wonderful Dragon agency on a strange new planet, and has elected to host one of them, if she might be chosen.

It is called "Darkelf adoption agency" and seems to be a fine, wild place, with sleek interesting dragons! She hopes to adopt an Air dragon, mostly because that's her favorite thing too.

The Zekiran ship has been re-outfitted yet again for large inhabitants like dragons. So, Dahizhia has moved into one of the quarters near the Flight zone, so that if she does get a dragon, it won't have to travel far to get into the air.

The quarters aren't really finished for her, but she knows that a dragon's egg or even a hatchling will find everything it needs right there. A small waterfall and bathing pond is in one area, nearest the exit to the Flight zone. A comfortable circular nook that can be darkened to night-time conditions is on the other side, and between, a number of things. She has put in a feeding area, easily cleaned (she's seen how dragons eat...), along with some play items such as climbing bars, which can be covered with spray-foam and made solid, like a savannah rock jumble. She herself likes those.

The egg will remain with her in her normal quarters until it hatches. Then, it will be moved into the nice spacious place she has set up!

And everywhere, of course, are butterflies...

Excitedly, Dahizhia opened the large heavily padded object that came to the ship. She beamed with happiness when she saw the glimmering of a richly colored yellow-mottled egg!

"It's here! Oh, it's finally here... I wonder who will come out of it!" Dahizhia scampered around making sure that the nesting material was soft and warm, found a heating lamp (from one of those other folks who had raised a dragon from an egg) and placed it carefully over the nest. She adjusted it and carefully put a thin blanket over the egg, so that it didn't get TOO hot.

"I don't know what your name will be, or who your parents are... The list here says that it's a "wild" egg, so I'll never know the parents..." She perked up, "but that means I'm the parent!" Giggling briefly, Dahizhia clapped a little and then settled down again. Her purrinka sighed and sat next to the big egg, it was bigger than she was by almost three times, but she seemed to enjoy laying with it under the sun lamp.

"Well, when this hatches, you'll have to share that nest with a little dragon darling Kinia!" Dahizhia laughed, and the purrinka merely purred...

Dahizhia giggled to herself, as the egg hatched. A soft but determined pecking could be heard from within. "Come on, you can do it..." She whispered. Then, she was very pleased to see, a little black snout came out from the cracked shell!

His little wet muzzle opened immediately, and the shrieking could be heard clearly. Especially by the curious fiery purrinka nearby. Her ears flattened down and she crept up to the egg.

"I have to feed him, Kinia!" Dahizhia cried. Her wings fluttered and she lept to her feet. The energetic cries of the black dragon called her back quickly. "Here, here!" Dahizhia said, and deposited a small bowl of cut up meats. The dragon snorted, growled back at the feline, and began to gobble the food up.

"There you are! What a big boy!" Dahizhia laughed. The flighty winged thing flapped hard, and began to lift off a bit. He tired almost immediately, though, and let out such a cry of despair that Dahizhia picked him up and placed him on her shoulder. He clung on with his little hard feet, and she managed a grin around her beak.

"Tamisra, that's your name." She said, happily. Kinia gave a little snap of her own wings, and pretended she wasn't interested at all.

Tamisra flapped frantically against the wind.

"You can do it, Tam! I know you can!" Dahizhia cheered on her beautiful dark dragonet in the flight dome.

Tresis even thought that making this little guy fly was entertaining, though he didn't really say so. He was the one making the gusts of air anyway.

He was off soon, though, after Tamisra learned to flap harder or softer, how to land on just his two feet, and everyone was relieved when Tamisra flapped on his own.

I want to see the other places now.

"W-what?" Dahizhia asked Tamisra. Kinia purred under Tamisra's ministering claws, they had maintained their tight companionship over the last few months, and Kinia's presence usually calmed the black air dragon.

I wish to see others of my kind. Perhaps there are others who wish to remain here.

"You won't fly away will you?" Dahizhia asked, hurt.

No. I will remain with you forever, Dahizhia. You are my caretaker and I love you. And Kinia.

The bright colored Purrinka rolled to her side and continued to enjoy the black talons of her friend. Dahizhia put out a call for Viridia to get a shuttle ready. They would return to Dark Dragon adoptions...

2023 new stuff... I have to wonder how this dragonet came out of the shell with a head like that, dark underside wings, no forelimbs, and head fins... its teenage years showed off still no forelimbs and its head fins broke apart, maybe its wing fingers which weren't present at hatchling turned into arms, because the adult does have arms but no wing fingers... sigh, gotta love the ancient art of forgetting what features exist on the fly amirite? Also the appearance of scaled armor belly as an adult and the slow but sure change from aqua to blue to grey eyes. Gained a bunch of toes on the hind feet too, and big claws. And then the horns. Where... were they hiding? Anyway, by the magic of the internet and imagination, this is an 'air' dragon. APPARENTLY he can speak verbally (as of the xgen flight) and at that time *wasn't* telepathic? dood no he's definitely got both mental and verbal speech... he obviously did have telepathy as the above page was straight up mental.

As such I will determine that any offspring available, both old and new, may evolve random traits or change configuration over their lifespan, accommodating multiple limbs, changing physiology, or even outright shapeshifting (at least one of his offspring is fully herm, so why not shapeshift too).

"Sooooo that's new?" Dahizhia commented, when Tamisra flapped down to the ledge, and began preening plumage that was absolutely not there before. "And where'd your arms go!?"

Stronger wings, don't need them right now. Will make them later if I pick things up.

Dahizhia blinked a few times, shook her head with a chuckle, "well, you do you my friend. I've seen you up there in the clouds whipping things up, don't forget there's a storm system on its way, and people still rely on it for their crops."

Am not like that crazy man, Tamisra recalled Tresis who was a masterful weather-shaper bent on occasionally depriving people of vital seasonal changes. Won't forget. Felt the storm coming. Building needs protection. Not finished.

That reminded Dahizhia that yes, there were some folks down by the high terrace, their barn and silo had yet to be completed. If that storm showed up while they were still raising it... it would be razed instead. But apparently Tamisra knew that, and flew off to perch near it, waiting with that odd new looking face of his, peering at the sky as if he could see the wind moving invisibly. And soon enough that storm did come, with the barn half-complete and the silo only partially filled with their crops. But Tamisra summoned all his will, focusing on his air power. While some of the crops that had been collected did blow off the terrace, the buildings both survived and the people within them could finish collecting the grains and goods more safely.

Dahizhia wondered... who was he trying to impress? Maybe there would be new interesting dragons on the horizon if he did show off enough...

Though he could not communicate with her telepathically, she knew very well he was there. She trumpeted, and he screeched back. When they joined, Dahizhia paced about in the observation area. Though her telepathic ability was limited in its range, she should have known better than to stick herself directly among a bunch of ... orgy happy people and dragons! Why, this was worse than one of Vanya's parties..."
