Name: Oriroc (OR ee rock) Fur: off-white shaded, very short velvet plush Species: Wyldkin Rabbit Shifter Gelgelan Hybrid Born near Thohauxa on the Gelgelan Eminence, though raised on a large animal ranch on the mainland since their mother moved around a bit; and currently are in the northern Everchange Wood for ... reasons. Whether they will be able to remain there is unlikely; though they're part and parcel with the Shifters of the area, dragons from offworld are absolutely not the kind of thing that should be around these parts. Local dragons would tear them apart. She has heard of a place, which they might head off to... Hopefully she'll be able to convince her brother (and perhaps their mother too) to come to this 'Grotto' to reside, if they come home with dragons. She has a Vain personality, she knows she's pretty, and moreover she knows that she's part royal. She resents having to escape places just because folks find out they're Shifters, and has tried on numerous occasions to get Irocor to stop shifting so much because she really just wants to have a place and be treated like the princess she is... |

The magic she openly specializes in is a form of summoning that is rather specific to her 'breed', meaning if there are any lagomorphs or similar creatures in the wilderness or urban settings alike within 500 meters of herself, she can call them to her side to either act as a shield of bodies, or to outright attack her enemies. A more sedate use of this is pest control, which she seems to be more interested in to earn money. She can 'rid' a location of small animals that gnaw on roots or structures, for a fee of course. (Whether she has brought them there in the first place, not likely - she's not a bad person at heart. Her brother has repeatedly suggested it, however.) *Shifter traits: dad didn't realize that the 'rabbit' kin he hooked up with was very much a shifter, with the ability to turn into a large (3' shoulder) rabbit-like creature. It's possible that she had other shapes, because sometimes that creature has a long horn or even antlers, and this has followed in Oriroc's abilities. She can manifest incredibly dangerous sharp claws on her hands and feet (ruining those nice shoes), fangs or gnawing teeth in her mouth (she does always have small pointed fangs), and when she's in her full shape it is a 'jackalope' with pronghorn like horns which she can use to deliver dangerous impale and bashing blows. Her favored weapon is a slender long-sword, which she is surprisingly adept at using even though she was 'raised on a farm'. She feels that this sort of weapon is appropriate to one of 'her status', and honestly no one would deny that she's got talent with it. |

Her idiot brother didn't let her do the talking and that irked her a lot. But, she maintained her silence, judging the people gathered at their weird little grotto dock, but less harshly than even she expected. They were rugged folk, but they were incredibly varied. The ship's crew built of Farers and Kin alike but with a scattered bunch of others - even a Vampire? and some Griffs, and... dragons. She was more apt now, to watch how her beloved Edele behaved. Perhaps that was due to the dragon herself. They had spent just enough time with the clutch and others at the hatching site to learn about the dragons' abilities, heritage, and the like, and Oriroc knew that they were just as royal (if not more so) as she and her sibling. When the captain of the docked ship strode toward the rabbits and dragons, he seemed to be appraising them in a manner that was all but magical. When he spotted Irocor's horns, Oriroc rolled her eyes. He asked what they were hiding, and she did have to resist the urge to blurt out 'isn't it obvious', but rather led them - all - in shifting a little bit. Into her own pronghorned-rabbit form, while her brother manifested just all that extra stuff he ran around the Everchange wearing. And - and - their dragons shifted as well. Both of them into their unsteady bipedal forms, they were still new and unpracticed at it. But while Colart looked a tiny bit surprised (and much more surprise on many of those gathering to greet the new arrivals to their Grotto) he merely nodded, grunted out a thanks, and started instructing folks on where to begin digging for a new residence. Just like that. They would have their choice of places, and though eventually the siblings did choose to have a location for both of them to live at, it would take a bit under a month to get it all built. (Imagine building without magic? Ugh! Those wood shaping elves and the stone masons did a lovely job indeed! And so quick!) They drifted around the island and under it and through the many half-flooded caverns to get used to the place in that time. When they did finally get settled, it was decided that Oriroc would go tell their mother, fetch her if she would come. They knew she could keep a secret, and these dragons and their island were definitely a secret worth keeping. |
