Name: Demi Governor

Gender: Female, bisexual

Age/DOB: ~15, sort of aged / 2029?

Origin: Repurposed Earth AAEC

Family: Mother Cricket, father Damon, extended relatives aplenty

Other: Likely to pair up with nearly anyone, but highly unlikely to want to be a 'mother'

Height: 5'10"

Weight: 130* Icarus lightened overall weight, strengthened joints, increased durability and strength

Hair: dark red with black tips, not dyed, that's how it grows; perfectly straight, she'd love it if it would be thicker but it's still kinda flyaway and brittle rather than heavy satin like dad's; kept long and styled with bangs as shown, she loves how it looks

Eyes: maroon red, wide, bright and always quite interested in something or other

Appearance: tan skinned, lighter than her father but considerably darker than mom, with plenty of freckled and a few moles, no scars; enjoys wearing a variation on the Icarus suit, but also likes slinky and sexy close-cut outfits, fancy if skimpy dresses, almost always likes looking 'feminine' rather than her mother's tomboyish looks

Icarus Processing: Yes at age 3, though both parents have had the processing, Demi benefitted more for the physical aspects than the Vortal impact.

Genetic Abilities: Overall a moderate psychic suite of telepathy, empathy, and Vortal sight, able to use those adequately at nearby targets. She can sense Vortal power in use, particularly from those with her own genetic line. Demi's most powerful ability is extreme camouflage: she can simply turn invisible to any visual sense, though not to Vortal. She does give off a bit of a 'dark aura' and has an oddly smoky smell to her when she's lurking invisibly. But even electronic sensors cannot pick up her form right in front of a camera, though there is often a kind of sooty grit to any recordings with her in it - all over the place, not just where she was. This is due in part to her strong particulate control, which can be called 'darkness' manipulation. With it and her electric control, she can lift, sense through, manipulate, congeal, and otherwise move small particles around. They can be up to about the size of a pinkie nail - tiny, but not necessarily microscopic - the bigger objects take more effort to control, so she tries to mainly use dust, particles up to about the size of a grain of salt. She can electrify these, causing them to glow, and also is of use to electroplate things that need to be covered in metal or other material. The particulate matter doesn't have to be metal, or even remotely conductive, for her to work with them, it's a strong form of very specific telekinesis with added electric power. She can slink through dark hallways without even using that ability, but when she wants to cause a place to become 'really dark', her combined abilities can simply stop light from moving around. This is very unnerving, and often causes people to become very dizzy or even terrified. She can also use these particles to clog airways, blind Combine soldiers without the need to fritz their scanners, or make really cool party lights! Her ability with raw electricity is her weakest, but still she can 'turn on lights', power a car-battery worth of energy needs, burn out appliances, and the like. She has no ability to read data or control machinery, just the electrical input. This can include 'of living things', but she doesn't like the smell after she burns things with it.
Skills or Profession: Offered standard educational downloads suitable for the post-Combine world, Demi actually went in a different direction than anyone thought. She delights in cleaning up after things, and can be considered a 'portable clean-room' - able to lift all those nasty dirty bits off of machinery, the floor and ceilings, and importantly clearing out anything lurking in air vents. Where she can't do much is for the plumbing, but there are others that do really well with liquids. Her forte is mapping out locations using these particles and her electric zappy, and she has an incredibly good sense of direction - as well as fashion style. 'Mister' Wilson is of interest to her, for a good number of reasons... Whenever redecorating is being done, she's on hand to make sure all the gear is dust free. She can also seem to compact it into shapes - which can then be used by other matter manipulators.
Personality: She is considerably more gregarious than her dad, though not as ditzy as mom can be. She's happy to be around Vorts as well as Normies, Pantheon, or ... dragons!
Events or History: An experiment gone well. Born after the Combine's fall, so she basically never knew the world as it had been in either era: the terrors of being pursued aren't part of her world, nor is the expansive and healthy 'old' Earth. When things are slow after a time... the Rookery called. Though you'd think with a semi-aquatic looking dragon like Pearl, she'd want to be down in Rapture, and certainly they do spend some time down there helping out now and again, but frankly there's much more to be done up in the Rookery, or their preferred spot, North Aperture.

Dragon

Name: Pearl
Gender: Male, though looks rather femme
Size/Shoulder/Length: Small, 5' s / 25' l / 14' ws
Colors: Body charcoal-black, not quite perfectly black, with violet overtones and fades, more graphite toward hind end and tail, spotted and patterned with glowing violet dots; brighter violet eyes
Features: four legs, two wings, long flexible tail; hide skin that is quite thick, it's possible that this was an aquatic breed at some point; a bit dog-like, a bit cat-like, with 4 retractable-clawed paws, with pads allowing them to be quite silent, long and slender body, and very long sinuous tail that has some amount of prehensile ability; Wings are solidly leather, and quite short - they are not flight-enabled wings, but they can glide for short distances and use them to drop safely to a spot higher than a jump might allow; following the aquatic idea, then, these wings could be very useful under water, as they're still strong enough to propel through liquid, and definitely produce a lot of wind when they flap them in the air. Canine like face, with no external ears, and a long, curved but discrete mouth bearing a startlingly glowing violet prehensile tongue. Don't ask where all this glowing is coming from. Short backswept horns on head, no other features.
Powers: Aquatic behaviors above ground - Pearl is able to glide somehow, not using his wings, but actually 'swimming' through the air. He can move about 2 meters away from any solid surface, be it a wall, large table or machinery, glass panes, liquids, the ground or ... ceilings, and 'glide' with the same ease as he does actually immersed in water. It's a bit unnerving. He cannot carry anyone including Demi when he's slurping around like that, but he can pick up small objects with his paws and retrieve them, or drop things from the ceiling. He seems to have a complete awareness of the area he has to work with, if he's in a narrow chamber he can slink within milimeters of that ceiling, giving anyone below him the room to walk by, or rapidly swirling through a factory floor with catwalks and large devices that he can 'spin' away from, using the entire area as a sort of swimming pool. The surface must be at least as wide across as he is without wings extended, so around 1 meter across in any dimension, but it doesn't have to be 'solidly' solid: metal catwalks, yes, but screen doors or chain link fences, no - they have to have enough substance for him to bound from.
Aquatic adaptation below the surface - obviously he is suited to life under water, can hold his breath for hours on end, and can withstand crushing pressures as well as near-complete darkness. Since he glows that's not so much of a problem.
Communication, through whatever means this species required, Pearl can pick up on mental communication around him, and listens in on conversations - he doesn't necessarily understand them all, but he recognizes individual minds and auras. He can empathically alert Demi to things, 'danger' 'clear' 'steep', though doesn't really form his own words so much as information / images. Otherwise he gives off an eerie keening howl now and again, which reverberates in hallways or gives him the ability to echolocate, no one's really sure.
Glowing, though not really a power so much as a side effect, Pearl glows gently, and occasionally has to be 'dimmed' by Demi.
Parentage: Unknown, but several others of the breed are bonded to a variety of Rookery members
Origin: Adopted from Velenieadopts on Deviantart, bases by omenaadopts
Other Info: Pearl seems so much more sedate when he is posing or observing. But really he's got a lot of energy - he's like a seal or otter, only with wings and the ability to move from water to land flawlessly.
