Name: Tegan Beckett-Vahh Gender: Female, fluid, pansexual Age/DOB: ~15, aged, RY15 Origin: Rookery born to Repurposed parents(ish) Family: Mother Mae Beckett, father Tanner Vahh; grandparents Brell and Mike, Silver and Keenan; half-brother Dyllon, aunts and uncles, cousins everywhere including the ELLs Other: very much takes after gramma Silver and is positvely doted upon by her and Keenan Height: 5'9", looks more petite than she is, often surprises people by how tall she is Weight: 135, slender and lean, muscular but not bulky; no Icarus treatment but still has residuals from both parents and several others in her genes getting it done, so she is more durable and flexible than typical Hair: frosted leaf brown, had started much darker brown, but is very quickly turning platinum white and will be silvery white by the time she's 30; obvious widow's peak, though heavier than her father's, it is still fluffy and silky, she keeps it to her shoulders or upper back, and ties it when needed Eyes: very intense green with aqua-blue tones, heavily lidded, large, under fairly dark brows Appearance: light tan skin with no obvious scars, tends to show blushes, has dark lips, a pointed nose, and a heart shaped face; she's still young and squeaky-voiced, but she is still growing into adulthood; wears remnants of the Icarus undersuits below denim outfits, birkenstocks, and little else as she rarely has any idea what the temperature is Icarus Processing: none, but with three out of four grandparents having been treated and the fourth a cosmic being, her genes effectively act as though she has been. She is lighter weight, more durable (by about 2x) and slightly faster (around 1.5x) than a normal person, heals remarkably fast (4x) and resists almost all forms of disease or illness. Like her father she hardly ever needs to sleep but she does still value dream time; the processing of prior generations strongly affects her Vortal presence |

Genetic Abilities: extremely strong Vortal senses and empathy, telepathy, as well as controls over dreaming and mood. She can sense Vortal minds at up to 10 miles away, communicating with them telepathically in a clear green-tinted 'voice' at around 5 miles. Her strongest abilities are with affecting moods, she is also apt to be swept away by group moods or be controlled somewhat easily by those who are practiced at it. She can take a single person's disaster area mood and soften it out into a pleasant moment in under a minute but tends to do so more slowly because there is a whiplash at times. Tapping out at about 12 people she would reliably be able to 'fix' a group's sentiment about an event or person, nudging their ability to agree on something, or alternately rile them up if she needs to start a riot. She can enter and command dreams, usually within about 500 meters of herself, but since she can also utilize a personal constructed space, she opens 'windows' to their dreams at almost any distance if she knows who she's looking for. This skill has more subtle effects, but she can sway even more people at one time than emotional control, if they're all asleep at once. She has allowed people to share dream spaces, giving them a construct to play around in. Her constructs are usually briefly open and shut, but she has a long-term build in the form of a strange place she saw in a dream herself, as a child - or perhaps before being born. This location is apparently a converted nuclear power silo which has been overgrown, with a tree and swing, assorted dolls and play equipment. Since she doesn't really share this one, no one has been able to tell her that's something out of another dimension's Alma Wade... She can teleport using her constructs and windows, and can portal to someone in the physical world via their dream, this doesn't tire her out at all, but keeping a connection open between people or even the construct and the real world is harder. Additionally and something she plans on practicing, she can "pause" people nearby - freezing them in place, they can breathe and look around slightly with their eyes, perceive, but not react unless they're quite strongly Vortal. She has had to do this on instinct and can do it to animals, Combine machinery, or whatever else in her nearby 5-meter sphere. Generally Tegan tends not to do that unless she's practicing, it wears her out and has proven to be a bit problematic if she tags the wrong person. She can wipe their memory of it, but doesn't like doing that unless it's a really bad memory.
Skills or Profession: like both her parents, she's very much a people person, and helps both of them with problems or groups. With her downloaded skills mainly centered on psychology and sociology, she also enjoys reading up on history and politics of the bygone eras, and takes hints from those events to make sure that they aren't repeated in the modern, dragon-filled, era. Also of note she is very good with non-human or off-world historical data, the Vorts enjoy relating their varied stories to her, and she's taken to writing it down since they don't leave much in the way of written history. But like most of the psychology based riders, she is on the front lines for refugee help. She knows a bit here and there about first aid and emergency triage, but she's rarely in a position to need to help in surgery or true emergencies - she's the type who consoles the group as their friend goes in for healing. Like her dad and gramma Silver she really does enjoy sports and activities, and because she's certainly durable she doesn't mind the more rough touch-rugby and energetic ball sports, down in the Lagoon. In fact she and Sorakilap have developed some new takes on small-dragon sports. She is extremely good at dream-connectivity and activities, using imagination and reality to blend experiences for people that can be both psychologically helpful, and edifying for later review. Very good with wheedling out details from the subconscious mind, though she does this with specific permission. When that permission is not granted, she taps someone else to find out why.
Personality: friendly and easy to like, Tegan enjoys hanging out with the younger refugees and kids that have been born to the Rookery folks, but she spends so much time among others that when she does discover a need to suss out someone's issues, it's easy for her to do that. Energetic and fun loving, she does know how to separate work from play, but sometimes they are actually the same thing.
Events or History: She was aged a bit, at 2 years old she was boosted to a tween, and given the standard downloads for kids in the Rookery, as well as some hints and tips for using her Vortal powers. Since Tegan was born in North Aperture, she's remained there much of her life. She does have a bunk in Rapture, as well as a dragon rook at the Rookery proper, and is always welcome at grampa's Mansion (they're working on a suite for such kids at this point there are an increasing number of relatives that are apt to drop in and want to spend time there). Resides in Shaft 8/Sphere 3 just below the Hoyle area, and has plans to help develop the area for 'outdoors' housing, as it is quite a big area underground. |

Notably, Sorakilap is a shapeshifter, and has been known to wander the halls on two hooves rather than four. As a humanoid he has access to slightly different powers than when he's in his normal shape. General Power: Shapeshifting, Sorakilap is apt to spend about a quarter of his time shifted from dragon to humanoid, and this does not really cost him any overall power to maintain, but he must concentrate in order to move between shapes, and the shift takes about 5 full minutes to complete. He cannot transform into anything else, just these two shapes. Size/Humanoid: 6'2", 8' with tail, 14' ws |
