Name: Aries Gender: Male, bi Age/DOB: ~25, unknown DOB Origin: Vault Earth, Commonwealth, Nuka World fringes Family: none known to be alive, though he has taken Max under his wing, and is teaching him tricks of the armorsmith trade; in RY12 he and Trinity actually do have a child, Norma Other: he does think that Trinity might be... some fun Height: 6'3" Weight: around 200 and then the armor, he's very muscular and tall, his work means he has a lot of torso and arm strength and it shows with or without the added armor on his clothing Hair: black natural afro, kept short and as clean as he can get it, he prefers it short because burning hair from the forge is... nasty; has a matching short and well kept mustache Eyes: reddish brown, quite dark, round and intense Appearance: very dark brown skin with reddish undertones, has numerous scars from both battles and armoring work; quite handsome with a broad nose and full lips, even if he always looks a bit angry or concerned; has a voice that is normally quiet in conversation, he keeps himself in check - the forge is very loud, and he prefers not shouting thanks to hearing loss; he had been in the Pack and has no trouble wearing the 'funky fur' outfits that they took with them out from Nuka World, but his is actually a lot cleaner and less stinky than some Genetic Abilities: seems incredibly apt with metals and ores, and Melissa asserts after some testing that this is an actual power, and not just a lifetime of exposure or skill. Though he cannot actively shape metal with his mind alone, it's very clear that his discerning eye is seeing much more than a typical person might, even Amelia working the primary armory defers to his wisdom in this regard. He can tell just by running his fingers over a piece of metal, whether it's got too much stress to keep using, or if it's sound - extremely helpful in the Vault, checking for fractures in the supports or walls. Icarus Processing: none, but a life of exposure to radiation and the weird shit going on in Nuka World certainly have their benefits. If anything, Melissa claims any children he has should certainly be tested for negative markers, and if none, treated themselves, to bring out his amazing potential |

Skills or Profession: As he grew up in the Pack, he was used to their antics even as a young child. But he put his efforts into the armory and weapons, and soon enough had his own part of the forge they use all to himself. He rarely is found out hunting or sniping, he much prefers the comfort of building things to protect, rather than making life hard for anything. He has strong skills in armor making, but also in construction, refining, and the like - and those refugees from the Pitt have shared a few of their own secrets and he puts those into use daily now. With a good eye for safety, he often warns people when they're wearing armor that is going to break or is useless, and doesn't hesitate to help fit them with the tailor's help, to get fully customized armor on people who need it. He can tolerate a lot of heat and the noise of the forge, and handles all forms of tools there, from mining equipment through fine detail, though he's not much for the fancy-dancy stuff, he does imagine that some day he'll make a full set of fantasy style armor with all the frills and detail.
Personality: generally quiet and likes his solitude in the forge, but he's friendly and actually quite kind. He is observant and careful, and does like kids, though he prefers only Max be with him in the forge while they're working, because too many small hands might get hurt otherwise. Every once in a while you can find him singing and dancing with the group, he likes watching more than participating though.
Events or History: brought up in the Pack, it's likely that his parents were killed by them, but he was taken in at such a young age that he's never even questioned them as his family. He didn't shy away from working with the hard and dangerous fire and metal of their small forge, and because he was quite apt with it, he hardly ever left their armory. As he grew into a teenager, he had to fit himself with new armor frequently anyway, because he towered over many others in the group. There was very little notable about his life there aside from having taken over the work after their original armorer was killed by a ghoulrilla, those aren't words you usually hear... When Nuka World was 'liberated' and the gangs basically broken up, he avoided both capture and being killed simply by not raising a gun at Levi, Aretha, or Trinity. (In that order: they'd all visited the place.) As Trinity most certainly had eyes on him during that last visit, he was very eager to see what kind of offer she had over in the Commonwealth. He now does the 'heavy' work on the Wakefield Vault's forge, including refining metals and doing a few repairs here and there on the structure itself, though he much prefers working on individual armor pieces for people to use in daily scavenging or hunts. When they were taken aside and explained about this... dragon thing... he was astonished and intrigued. A dragon? Maybe - there's something out there, some kind of dragon that might help in the creation of metals, or heat of the forge! As Aries looked through the little pamphlet that Trinity offered the group to determine the best match for their needs - or who would be best for the dragons, he reminded himself that they choose their partner, not the other way around - he kept coming back to one particular page. These 'Gem' dragons - they were small enough to fit beside him in the forge, weren't they? And though they would fly, he wasn't much for heights and didn't want to try riding a dragon anyway. Might this place, Lantessama by name, be the best fit for him? Well, he certainly thinks so, and has put in for a transfer to that world to see about their nest. If they like him, he would come back so much richer - a dragon that could help him tend the flames in the forge, or work with the metals around the Vault? Count him in! |
