Name: Norma

Gender: Female, Pan

Age/DOB: 15, aged, RY 12

Origin: created in Rookery Rapture of Vault Earth parents/clone

Family: mother Trinity, father Aries, 'aunts' Aretha and Dejanira

Other: As the child of a clone, some unexpected things have happened...

Height: 5'6"

Weight: ~100* built with long and strong legs, an even torso, and good strong arms, she's going to be more curvy as she grows older, but never anything less than muscular

Hair: brightly white, heavy wool and kept to neck in natural coils, while it's wooly in curl it's soft in texture

Eyes: pale violet, almond shaped, quite large

Appearance: extremely dark brown skin that is shiny in sunlight, she's remarkably pretty with a broad nose and full lips; has a loud and clear voice, almost always laughing and bubbly; prefers modified Vault outfits, as shown, but isn't afraid to put on coveralls and work with dad, or a frilly dress to show off at a party at Carramba

Icarus Processing: yes, tangentally while being aged; since Trinity is a clone, there were already traces of non-standard DNA, and when she and Aries decided to get busy, Mel and Rhea took the next logical steps with this semi-engineered child. The processing is more the Icarus than Plasmid mixture, and thus has more physical effects such as a dramatically reduced weight, very strong bones and joints, and it has improved her sense of touch as well as sight by at least two times. She is very speedy and can zip across short distances in the blink of an eye, and agile enough that she won't trip on things left in her way even at that speed. Physically as well she is incredibly resistant to toxins and radioactivity, and that's good given her dragon's powers...

Genetic Abilities: as both of her parents are somewhat unusually gifted, Norma has a strong dose of both Vortal and Vault abilities. Though she does not have active telepathic power, she is highly empathic and can detect emotions of virtually all intelligent life (from about a cockatiel on up to dragons, and people of any breed) within 150 meters. And far from being overwhelmed by large numbers of people or creatures, in proximity closer than 10 meters, she thrives on it, and is energized tremendously. She can affect other people's moods, with that in mind, and has learned how to manipulate an individual's emotions with a subtle nudge, or a broad bunch of ravers with a big boost. Generally she can enhance what is already there, but can negate emotions, bringing up spirits of scared refugees, or calming down an enraged Supermutant, though she does have to concentrate on only this when she's doing it. She does also have a much weaker sense of metals, ores, and alloys, but this allows her to fix small items or reload ammunition cases quickly, clean guns or metal items by touching them, and even occasionally help in a surgery to remove shrapnel or bullets. That's about the extent of this power, she can sense within about 10 meters if there are solid metals around, and seems to have an innate sense of smaller stuff like bullets or bottlecaps, while looting, but she's not going to make a career out of this power.

Skills or Profession: She's still in training, but has been slated to become a full diplomatic recruiter on Twoarth for the Vault as well as dragons. She's listed as a Freshman though many of her classes are more advanced. According to their records, these are her 'specs':

Smarts 7
Bod/Feet 9
RWP 3
Luck 3
Drive 2
Looks 5
Cool 5
Bonk 7

Her class schedule...

Period Class / Instructor Grade
1 Genre Driven Fiction / McPanda Decent
2 Urban Exploration / Saqqaf Superb
3 Cartography / Lari Decent
4 InterSpecies Politics / Kuyul Superb
5 Mechanical Engineering / G0rd-OS Decent
6 Thriving in a Post Apoc Dysotpia / Aretha (auntie!) Excellent
7 Archaeology / A. Sanger Decent
8 Armoring and Weaponsmithy / Hagen Excellent

So she's learning how to be a diplomat, but is being pretty casual about it, which according to Monica Kuyul is exactly the tact to take. Obviously her upbringing in not one but two different shattered and post-apocalyptic worlds (and ... well, yeah auntie Aretha does sorta dote on her 'niece') gives her an advantage in the scrounging and survival course. She enjoys the Archaeology class because she knows at some point she'll dig up something really amazing in her own world, not just the messy radioactive crap, and it'll be worth its historical value much more than mere caps. Generally she keeps to herself in her Mechanical Engineering class, doing okay thanks to her power sensing metals, but beyond that she knows she's never going to be designing buildings. And although she does very well indeed in Gresilla's armor and weapons class that's mainly due to her father's constant presence in the forge. She herself prefers to be unencumbered by armor, though when he makes her a proper set of sleek 'synth style' armor she will definitely wear it. It better come in good colors though. Norma enjoys her fiction and cartography classes, though she'll never be much of a reader, and tends to rely on her Pip-boy for mapping.

Personality: very happy and pleasant to be around, Norma has the curiosity of her mother, and the dedication to tasks as her father has in his forge. Always seeking to help those in need, but also continually looking for potential new members for their Vault. Though she's not a 'search rider', her choices often reflect a good amount of potential for dragon riding as well. She carries herself with a spectacular ease, and makes friends extremely quickly. More than that though: she keeps those friends. Like her mother's side of the family she has a knack for recordkeeping and mental notations, and is definitely the kind of person who can remember little details about everyone she meets.

Events or History: Trinity and Aries absolutely did make a marvelous child! Her name is unusually 'common' for such parents, but they named her after the constellation, not because they felt she was 'normal'... that constellation is the 'carpenter's level', by the way. She was artificially aged at 3 years, into a young teen, which allowed her to keep up with the other kids in Wakefield, and then she was sent to Carramba High for schooling. Though the Wakefield Vault does still need her, she's more or less a diplomat moving between dimensions to recruit on site at Carramba High. She and Max get along very well, but she's glad that he'll likely take over the forge duties when he grows older, she's not a big fan of the heavy work. If having a dragon is work, she's never known it, since Tss has always been with her and has such a close connection to her that they always act as a team.

Dragon

Name: That Sure Stings aka TSS (... burrrrrn)
Gender: Male
Size/Shoulder/Length: Medium-large bipedal 8' h / 60' l / 75' and 33' ws
Colors: Grey body with soot markings on limbs and tail, face, edged with brilliant orange; belly mottled graphite and grey; armor shiny black; wingsails brilliant yellow with red markings; mane and tail medium grey with bright red stripes; horns and antennae striped black and orange; claws pale; eyes brilliant green
Features: hybrid Silk Hivewing and bipedal dragon, with heavy hide skin and thick armor plating over limbs, back of neck, and tail, belly heavier skin; four legs with 4 heavy conical claws and thumbs on forelimbs; four leathery wings, two fingers with elbow strut and short wrist thumb, one pair shorter and straighter, fully flight capable; beaked face with elegant backswept horns, antennae, and large long ears; mane and tail fluff, tail is very long and has a stinger end along with spikes bearing poison; egg-layer, though likely to require modification because he's a hybrid
Powers: Winged Flight, and boy can he fly. With four wings and a large body like this it seems improbable but Tss hefts himself into the air with ease somehow. He is markedly agile, and carries himself in the air almost as though he has a wind boost or is on strings - it's possible that he is producing fine silk lines that aid him, because people do notice that the air around him is slightly fuzzy when he's up. Those strands immediately vaporize, and this is probably part of his grabbity power as well... He can lift his rider and one or two others, or a large weight as long as it's in a position he can handle physically, or with carrying straps, though he doesn't much care for the dragging-shit-around thing.
Teleport, though his siblings and parent can only teleport 'instinctually', Tss actually has the ability to do it at will. Short-ranged teleports that he can use to zip a hundred meters at a pop, he can escape dangers or sneak up behind things, and his displacement seems unusually smooth as well. This again may have to do with him producing a mass of invisible silk that diffuses into an area, reducing the 'pop' of vanishing and the 'push' of arrival. He can do this up to four times in a few minutes, but must rest if he wants to go a farther distance, or do it more quickly in succession. While he can carry things along on these short jaunts, it is difficult and dangerous, so he tends to do it only solo.
Communication, highly telepathic and with a strong Vortal connection to Norma, Tss can talk to her at virtually any distance while on-world. He is not chatty so much as willing to insert his opinion into passing conversations, but does 'read the room' if he's unwelcome. Like the wasp he resembles, he is up in your face if he's interested, and fucks off away if not. He cannot speak, and doesn't use his antennae like others in his family to 'sing', he only makes sound based on his wing beats.
Toxin Production and Resistance, he can easily shrug off any form of poison, whether it's ingested, absorbed, injected, or inhaled. He has to remember that environmental dangers may affect other people near him, because it might as well be normal air or water he's wading through. However, he can also use that toxic stuff in combat, with numerous types of it depending on what body part he's using. He can spit a lob of incredibly caustic goo from his mouth, the spines on his tail can brush off with a surface acid, and his tail tip injects a very dangerous neurotoxin in addition to the outright damage it might cause with impact or stabbing. He most often uses his tail if he's flying, as his spit is hardly accurate past 20 meters, and he can use his other powers to aid in that. The toxins overall will dissolve thin armor and eat through any biological substance to a degree, and only the injected toxin remains in a body longer than a few minutes. The neurotoxin will cause immense pain and slow responses, and to anything smaller than a horse it will eventually cause cardiac arrest.
Grabbity Silk Production, though he cannot produce what other Silkwings may consider to be 'proper' silk, he is always making it and using it even if it's completely automatic. From helping him teleport and fly, to allowing him to grasp slick items and walk in improbably steep surfaces, and keeping his rider where she belongs on his neck, he uses this almost as telekinesis in other dragons. If a surface is strong enough to hold his weight, he can cling to it and walk as normal, though often he will use his forepaws and 'walk quad' in those instances. With his paws using this power, he can swipe at items or creatures within about 5 meters and they just 'show up' in his hands, so he can use this to collect stray guns or loot, sorting through it later, but storing it briefly in a pack he wears during journeys. If he wants to keep clinging to something, it is with him as long as he wants it to be, and no amount of struggling will part it from his paws.
Parentage: Mother Grabbity, father Ay'geevee, with siblings Aim And Shoot, CAPSLOCK, That's A Wrap, and Colorful Candy Shell; he is from the second nest created in the lab, as his siblings are considerably older. Note that there is some time dilation between his rider's birth and aging, and his own creation and bonding in RY12, they essentially grew up together, and were bonded before she was aged.
Origin: Rookery Earth, created by lethe, Hallowed Silk pairings
Other Info: Though he's marked as a wasp and is exactly as dangerous, Tss is a fun loving and reasonably kind and curious dragon. He knows his role in the scheme of things, with his rider recruiting potential new settlers, as well as showing off the Rookery's work, and enjoys showing off with her on campus or over the Vault equally.
