Weight: 130, gangly and lean, stronger than his weight implies but not above average

Hair: red-brown, tightly braided or dredlocks, to high back as adult

Eyes: dark brown, alert

Appearance: Tan-brown skin, even toned with no marks or freckles visible, some scarring on legs and hands from scavenging, often wears blue shaded outfits, to anyone with the vision for it, he strongly glows as shown.

Genetic Abilities: Strong out-of-body projection, able to send his senses nearly half a mile away with ease, but this leaves his body vulnerable and must be protected. Strong telepathy with long range (up to 15 miles) and able to pinpoint individuals. Able to sense Vortal auras with great ease, but can turn that power 'off'. Moderate empathy, good with individuals but sometimes gets swept away with groups.

Icarus Processing: Yes, at the age of 4; process dramatically increased his Vortal sight and range, also unknown at the time strongly increased his duration for power use. Reduced his weight by a quarter, but did not increase muscularity or speed.
Skills or Profession: Such a person would be of great use as a spy, information gathering, and infiltration, and Simon was being groomed as an infiltration specalist. Thus he has had downloads for understanding distances, layouts of buildings, object recognition and visual memorization. His practical application of these skills obviously includes invasive wildlife as well as Combine forces detection. Simon is intelligent and recognizes the importance of structure and reliability, and has always sought to be part of a team, rather than doing things by himself. He is an excellent follower, but doesn't hesitate to speak up when he thinks there's something he could contribute.
Personality: Though a 'follower', Simon is both eager and intrepid. He loves to explore and discover, and since he can basically keep himself safe while doing so, he has explored a lot of the places the Pantheon visits without once stepping foot inside them. He craves companionship, and enjoys chatting - but understands other peoples limitations and gives space where needed. He is hardly clingy, but overall he's a very enjoyable addition to any group or team. He's not terribly brave, but has faced down animals, Combine, and GLADOS.

Events or History: As a child, Simon aided the attack on GLADOS in order to assess areas before the chidlren entered them. His exploration allowed them to understand where emplacements and dangers rested, as well as what they might find throughout the facility. That said, Simon has basically been a guard his entire life. Though his skill set downloads include a lot more in the way of actual infiltration, he's far more comfortable doing what he's been doing - making sure that anything coming into his range of Vortal sight, remains under constant watch.

He has had several romantic encounters, one of which with Lynne has led to his remarkable son - whose range is at least on par with Lynne's, and his Vortessence bears the same violet shade that his father has.

Size/Shoulder/Length: Tiny but chonk, Bipedal / 5'6 shoulder, 7'8 at head when sitting / 18' long / 20' wingspan, has a large head, prefers walking to flight
Colors: medium grey undappled skin, light grey wingsails, black stripe on head and neck, light grey spine-length fluff (feathery fur) on back of head, neck, spine, tail, and under chin to collar
Features: bipedal, 2-clawed feet, 3-fingered leather wings, fluffy ridge as above
Powers: Telepathy (strongest with Simon, can speak with any vortally/magically/psionic enabled creatures), Verbal speech (grumbly, hissing), Teleportation (to any known or in sight, includes Vortal memory/sight), 'Ghost' - can visually vanish into a kind of static colored haze, best against rubble or sky, but can be remarkably good camouflage in broken buildings or against varigated colors; this power can easily be seen vortally, however, so it only works against visuals.

Other Info: Though fairly small, Zeil uses that feature to be able to enter small areas safely, investigate, and rescue those who are in need under rubble or in confined areas. Between his bond's ability to Vortally investigate without physically needing to move, and Zeil's teleportation, there are few places which they can't reach together. Zeil enjoys it when his bond rides him, they tend to stay on the ground and Zeil uses his wings to balance on uneven terrain, only resorting to flight when needed. He can fly but prefers to be holding on to people with his forelimbs, rather than having them on his back. He and Simon play pranks on normal people with ease, since they can both be 'invisible' to their eyes and pop in unexpectedly. That trick works very well with Combine in addition, though it's very rare that they would put themselves physically in danger against the heavily armed Combine forces.
