Skills or Profession: A pretty standard 'kid from the post-Combine era, Delia has very little formal schooling but is still able to read and do simple math (mostly pertaining to her duties on the Ranch). She has a good visual and spacial talent, able to figure out where things might fit, how much space will be required for feed or animals, and can very quickly count up livestock - or in some cases, figure out how many headcrabs are buried in the loose sand nearby, and how best to avoid them. She would love to have a bit more of an education - she enjoys reading simple books, but knows there are libraries filled with far more fantastic stuff than just the 'old west' pamphlets and agriculture-related things nearby. Delia is a good shot with a rifle. Her strong skills are in actually herding animals, commanding the 'dogs' on the Ranch, and the use of Bugbait from Antlion Guardians.

Here's Cujo, her main doggie

Personality: Kind, nice, and fun to be around. She's friendly but also knows when someone needs their private time - they all do, sometimes. She's eager to work and get things done, mostly so that there's more down time for dancing, playing darts, and fetch with the dogs. There is never a time when someone would insult her: Delia has never done anything mean to anyone in her life, and is the quintessential 'great girl' to be around. She may be a little too eager to harvest the Antlions, but that is because she lost kin to them.
Events or History: Originally born shortly after the Synchronicity on the West Coast, she and her family were moved to one of the Cities in the Rocky Mountains. There, she grew enamored of the wilderness, picking up on how 'quaint' the old west was. When the Combine came, however, she and her family rapidly realized that it would be a Bad Idea to remain in City 83, and thus headed south-east into the scrubland and northern New Mexico. Unfortunately ambushed by antlions, they were found by a group of Vorts, distant scouts for Black Mesa at the time, and brought to the Ranch. Her family was among the settlers on the Ranch, but her brother and mother both died from their wounds. Like most settlers, however, Delia is resiliant and wants to do the memory of her family proud.

Dragon

Name: Pyxath (pie zath)
Gender: Male
Size/Shoulder/Length: Small 6'5" s / 30' l / 38' ws
Colors: Purple body and limbs, blue wingsails and crest with faint flower-like markings; eyes change with mood and are often several different colors
Features: Starburst-born Nexus dragon; four slender muscular legs with 3 clawed feet, two leathery wings with three visible fingers, slender claws and wrist claw; body is strong, short slender tail, head high on long neck, head is pointed, with no particular features, high ridged crest on head and neck only; body is hide requiring care, sheds occasionally
Powers: Winged Flight, though he'd been in the confines of the Healing Den and its weird non-dimensional space for quite some time, Pyxath is still a decent flier. He's not used to the big wide open spaces and endless skies of the Rookery, that's for sure, but he enjoys short flights over the Ranch. He's best at lifting and carrying smallish items, he can handle living things up to the size of a cow as long as it's not squirming or fighting, and carry it for nearly two miles before needing to set it down. He isn't really great at speedy flight, but he certainly tries.
Psionics, with abilities like telepathy and teleportation in his genetics, as well as that extended Healing Den stay, Pyxath is able to communicate to his bond-human as well as dragons and other psionically-able minds within 50 miles or so. He can teleport but does so only as a last resort, and only for short (less than 10 mile) distances, as it wears him out tremendously. He can only take his rider and perhaps another human-sized creature with him when teleporting.
Assisted Firebreath, though he's never used this ability and likely won't, he can chew coal or 'firestone' or other such minerals, which activate his fire production glands. Since he's never done it, there's no expectation that he will - he can bite and claw if things attack.
Parentage: Green-Purple (marked) Brineth (Opal Moon Weyr clutch 1; Gold-Purple Dahliath+Copper-Silver Levianth) x Bicolor Blue Zharth (Beach Shards Weyr clutch 3, Gold Rhinth + Bronze Kweinalth), sibling Kelrikith (same sire, sister mothers)
Origin: Starburst Weyr Spring frenzy, gift to Shard (me); Spent a good long while in the Healing Den before deciding to head out with his sister and do something interesting with himself.
Other Info: Very enthusiastic, Pyxath loves to be noticed and is quick to bring himself to attention in any situation. True, he's a bit of a show-off, but he's so amusing to watch that no one cares to stop his light-hearted bragging. Among the smaller dragons of the Rookery overall but still not 'tiny' in any way, he can roost on the top of most buildings without damaging them too much as he lands or lifts off. He has, however, been known to fly into wires or aerial antennas, and needs to keep those in his mental map before he's allowed to do more tricks around the Ranch...
