The campus Parking Lot (West) While there is adequate parking for most ground vehicles on campus, there is another large parking structure two blocks south of the campus for other vehicles. Anyone with a vehicle AND A LICENCE TO DRIVE IT may park in the Carramba High School parking lot. Occasionally it is rented out during events, but most of the time parking is free for all students, staff and alumni. Visitor parking is usually toward the south-east areas, but there are also small parking lots just south and due east of the fields for sports events. All parking enforcement is done by local police, so any overdue fees, outstanding tickets or such will be dealt with directly by them. The parking lot is NOT patrolled 24/7. There are three campus guards who keep watch plus the Unleaded Security Tower's scanners, however there are no legal guarantees on safety in the parking lots. Valuables and objects should always be locked safely out of sight or removed from the vehicles, and vehicles should always be locked. The south road, Beach Boulevard, is a great place to get ticketed for speeding. The speed limit on Beach is 25 during school hours, and though there is more than adequate on-and-off-loading areas provided for parents or busses dropping off kids, please always observe the speed limit rules and be careful around campus. We don't want any accidents happening! On-campus driving is occasionally allowed, and primarily is done with campus electric vehicles. Speed limit is 10 mph, and violators will be ticketed! |
