Azure is the tough, physical type who enjoys blowing shit up. Preferably so she can pick up the pieces and fiddle with them until they're reassembled into something new. On returning to the North Aperture site around RY10 she works clearing out Shaft 3 and rests in Sphere 9, and can also be found in the mechanical bay where she dumps plenty of found goods.

Pala is the gloomy sort to knows far too much about data entry for her own tastes, yet cannot seem to get away from doing it. She's very critical of everything she sees. Back at Aperture, she and Vunae work out of Shaft 9 Sphere 6 in the security area, making sure things are working smoothly, they are also on call elsewhere for computer duties.

Dahlia is endlessly cheerful, happy, fun and genuine. She's not stupid by any means, but given her athletic and boisterous nature, that's something that surprises folks. On coming back home to the Aperture facilities she and Darx serve in Shaft 7, Sphere 3, working with the families of refugees there to keep them happy and healthy.

Sky is so much more like Mother than she looks. However, she generally reserves all her more caustic commentary for later, and is always looking for ways around or out of situations. Back at Aperture, Sky and Darodu run security and supply chains out of Shaft 4 Sphere 10.

They're set up as Sophs, where the Merah sisters are Juniors, and those Juniors will never hesitate to remind them of this. They don't have those glassy bulbs around their arms because they're not 'combat' oriented units.

The Rookery will welcome anyone and everyone who can help defeat the Combine in their universe, so once the girls are done with their schooling, whatever dragons come with them are going to be added to the roster. They are on hand at Aperture earlier than some, along with their elder sisters and younger 'brother', Boy10, but because seven kids, even with dragons, can't possibly clear out an entire facility themselves, they generally wait back at Carramba until way more help is available.

 

Dragon Bonded to Azure

Name: Kalyssa (kaa lih sah, easily sees the texture of her soul, 'Soul's Afterglow')
Gender: Female
Size/Shoulder/Length: Small 6' shoulder / 30' l / 28' ws
Colors: Deep graphite grey body but you'll hardly see it for the red glowing markings. Plenty of spots, circles, and striped rings, most of which glow in a deep red, almost infrared.
Features: Four legs with cat-like paws with 4 retractable claws, forelimbs bigger than hind; 1 fingered (visible) leather wing; hide is thick and somewhat rubbery; head features smooth muzzle, very long tongue, and two short conical swept back horns; featureless spine and tail, long tail (prehensile?); possible that this dragon has an aquatic origin, her wings are not really good for flight, and her skin is quite insulated.
Powers: Combat Gliding, Kalyssa is not a super strong flier, her wings are quite short - but she uses them to quickly sweep an area with wind generated by them, and runs into any given battle only to open them and hit enemies with a smashing burst of pressure. Under water, this would be absolutely deadly. She can carry up to her own body weight, but much more than that and she needs to either slink or rest frequently, and she cannot possibly fly while doing so. Also, her tail is actually more than a bit prehensile, and she uses it to balance, but also to sweep enemies feet or even distract them at a distance.
Water Movement, because of her hide, wings and the like, Kalyssa spends time in water and often doesn't want to come out. She can hold her breath for hours, though she does need to eventually surface for air. She can also tolerate very cold temperatures, above or below water, and seems to suffer no difficulty moving over slick surfaces like ice or spilled water.
Teleportation, though she's not really great at it, Kalyssa can teleport herself and whatever is physically touching her (rider, gear, etc) a short distance away - not more than 50 meters, usually. She can only do this a couple times in short order before requiring rest.
Communication, though she has a high, bubbly kind of voice, it is usually her mind that anyone hears. It echoes gently and warmly, like tropical waters in a tide pool. She can understand English, Draconic, and some other bits and bobs here and there, but she's content to allow others to do the translating for her.
Glowing, in a dark red, Kalyssa can illuminate areas, but only nominally - she more likely uses this for her own vision, and under water it would be nearly invisible after a few meters distance. She can dim and brighten, to a small extent, but not really enough to give a good light to a wide area. She's kind of like the emergency lighting in a building.
Parentage: Unknown, but her breed has at least a few others at the Rookery. Males of a variety of types have absolutely expressed interest in both of them...

Other Info: Though some would expect a dragon with such a lovely name to be kinder-gentler or at least a more pacifist, oh, they'd be wrong. Kalyssa is very bold, durable, and aggressive toward anyone that threatens her bond or her sisters. She's a terrific guard, not so much as a scout - she tends to rush to attack, rather than waiting to see what else might be around a corner... If she backseat-played with her bond any of those video games, Azure would be swearing at her to stop dying, because that's what'd happen.

 

Dragon Bonded to Pala

Name: Vunae (voon nae, the story of the wind)
Gender: Female
Size/Shoulder/Length: Small, 5' shoulder / 27' l / 24' ws
Colors: All colors shift to brighter, even glowing versions in light; Black body; Dark teal wing sail back with bright aqua stripe; Medium Teal underwing, Light teal contrast under neck, body, tail; Vibrant glowing aqua line, dot, and triangle marks; medium teal horns, chin ruff, tail spike; eyes are banded aqua
Features: Four legs, tiny-tiny paws with sharp claws, 3 each foot; 2-fingered leather wings with sharp wrist thumb spike; CHONKY; rounded head with nub muzzle, chin fins, two short crest fins, and two sharp thick upswept horns; tail ends sharply with spike; Hide is likely quite thick and rubbery, changes color to brighter shades under light
Powers: Colorshift, Vunae cannot control the overall brightness because it's based on the exposure to light, however, she can flash her actual Aqua-colored markings into a very brilliant display at will, using this to convey mood or even rough communication.
Winged Flight, is able to fly pretty strongly, even though she seems a bit ungainly you do not want to be laughing at her flight when she lands on your sorry ass from a power dive.
Wind Breath, with the power of the air at her disposal, Vunae controls her own breath from a tiny flame-extinguishing poof, to gale-force wind. Obviously she must recharge after very large breaths, but that comes easily. She can additionally sense through wind and air currents, even indoors, able to sound out the dimensions of rooms, not quite echolocation but getting a very good idea of what's inside a place just by how the wind moves around things, or how creatures disturb the air itself.
Communication, Vunae talks with a surprisingly sweet and airy voice, but can grumble like thunder at times. She is adept with English and a scattered few phrases in Vort, Spanish, and Latin; also she seems able to understand anything that flies, from bees to dragons, though she cannot necessarily speak their language.
Parentage: Unknown, however there is another of her type bonded to Wilson Carver, it's unclear whether they're related, though unlikely given their elemental differences.

Other Info: Master of the 'emotive sigh', Vunae can roll her eyes with the best of them. It's a wonder she didn't bond to Sky, but perhaps she's not quite as snarky as all that.

 

Dragon Bonded to Dahlia

Name: Darx (dara rex, protective flapping wings)
Gender: Agendered Robotic, presents sort of male
Size/Shoulder/Length: Medium Small (bulky) 7' shoulder / 30' l / 45' ws
Colors: Buffed copper and exterior armor, slick black rubber connective, black beak and claws, blue colored visual lenses
Features: Robotic, though may have biological components (brain?), four legs emulating bird- and lion-like animals, prominent and sharp claws on all feet; armored body and tail, head, and upper limbs, segmented; tail has sharp bladed tip; Wings feature metal 'feathers', treated or made with specific sound-dampening coating; avian-style beaked head with 'ears' used for triangulation and communication
Powers: Winged Flight, it's unclear whether Darx needs to flap, in order to fly, but he certainly does. He does not however need to flap in order to take off or remain aloft - he has hover- or gravity-based technology in his body that allow him to effortlessly move over the ground. He can remain in the air literally forever, or as long as his power supply lasts. He can carry an absurd amount of weight, but prefers not to, because it might damage his pretty sheen.
Communication, able to understand most spoken languages, including draconic and English, has trouble with Vort because of its telepathic component. Does not have the ability to communicate directly with his mind, unless plugged in to a source allowing it, and can only detect that telepathy exists, cannot decode what's being communicated that way between others. Speaks with a chipper and loud metallic cockatoo-like voice.
On that note: Noisy, Darx can crank up the volume control on his voice box, and uses his wings to amplify or direct the sound. While it's not quite enough to actually do tangible damage to flesh, it certainly can damage - sometimes permanently - anything with sensitive hearing aparatus. He always gives a warning, before doing so, and even a little cover over the ears will nullify the ability enough not to be deafened.
Tank, Darx is absolutely the tank of the crew, and is on hand for the best of the battles ahead. Bullets literally bounce off his perpetually shiny exterior (even though he claims they'll scratch it) and lasers, well, let's not even talk about what happens if you fire a laser at this bad boy's chest. His wings can fold almost any direction, and he can hold them tightly shut in order to protect whatever is under them.
Parentage: None, as he was clearly manufactured. However, his place of origin is also unknown, who built him, and more importantly why, remains a mystery.

Other Info: Wherever he is from, Darx is a welcome addition here. The cheer squad positively adores him, and wants to incorporate him into their routine. Dahlia is not sure she wants to go that route, but maybe?

 

Dragon Bonded to Sky

Name: Darodu (darr odu, the illuminated lure)
Gender: Male
Size/Shoulder/Length: Medium-Small, 6' shoulder / 22' l
Colors: Light warm grey rubbery-shiny base body, with bright reflective red on paws, hind legs, slash-body, striped tail, and face; glowing red markings (flash, change) along entire body sides and limbs, tail; bright reflective red glowbob ends
Features: Wingless dragon, four pawed feet with three retractable claws; long slinky body, neck, body and tail equal lengths; very long jaw opening (do not watch this one eat); three pairs of eyes; long delicate but durable strands mustache, chin, three on neck, and two at hips, ending in drop-shaped glow-bobs
Powers: Physical stunts, this dragon is made for speed, but prefers to lounge around until it's absolutely necessary to move. A pouncing predator, used to catching low-flying prey with his massive mouth, he can leap into the air some 13 meters and still accurately catch something in motion. It's possible that his ancestry was semi-aquatic, as this seems like something a darter fish, frog, or other such pond-residing creature might be good at. On that note: highly waterproof, can dive deeply though prefers fresh water to salt, and hold his breath for nearly an hour before needing to surface.
Surprising Camouflage, with how shiny Darodu is up close, and the fact that his skin produces a staggering array of colorful lights, he can remain hidden in even the best lighting. Perhaps because of the lighting, his greyish skin might pick up the nearby colors. Or, perhaps, everyone is too busy looking at the pretty bobbing things to notice they're connected to him. He's remarkably adept at distraction.
Colors! Darodu's basic 'red and grey' is hardly his only look. The small dots along his body and limbs can be flashed in a number of wavelengths, usually in the infrared-red-orange through some yellow range, but if he's truly angry, hungry, aggressive, or defensive, they can become a blinding white. The colors of his glowbobs can be changed to a smaller extent, though usually that takes the form of a shimmering, lumpy movement inside the ball. (It kind of looks quite gross up close, honestly.)
Empathic Communication, though not a true telepathic creature, Darodu is able to keep tabs on his bond and her friends, with a somewhat 'cool-feeling' presence in their minds. Very likely caused by his breed needing to both remain hidden and communicate their presence without losing their prey?
Parentage: Unknown, so far as anyone can tell he's unique among the Rookery dragons. Also unknown whether he'll be compatible with any winged dragon, but there are a few here and there that seem interested in his pretty colors.

Other Info: Any of the code-readers in the area can spot that he can communicate using those lights, if they bother to learn his language. Some of the Pyrrhan Sea- and Rainwings are quite keen on this one showing them how to communicate better.
