Dragon |
Name: Churiliranoth (chu ril LEER ah noth), 'Chewy'
Gender: Male
Size/Shoulder/Length: Large, 25' s / 100' l / 190' ws
Colors: Silver
Features: Danachian traditional, with four legs having 3-clawed paws; two large leathery wings with 4 fingers and a large webbed wrist thumb, all with claws, and butt-wings with a single clawed finger at base of tail; armored belly and long tail; head is narrow and slender with a beak tooth, heavy eye ridges and long back-pointing horns; tall webbed head crest with spines; tail has large webbed fin end
Powers: Winged Flight, positively fierce in flight, Chewy dominates the air in a way that very few non-Danachians can. He uses his large tail fluke as well as his secondary wings to maneuver in very tight areas (which at his size is... quite a bit of the cityscape to be honest). He does require a lot of space to lift off and makes a very strong thud on landing, but he does try and mitigate those things from damaging the area with his telekinetics. He can reach a powerful 200 mph in the air within a minute or so and can maintain that breakneck speed for at least an hour before really needing to take a break; also he can 'sprint' at a ridiculous 300 mph with a dive before banking, though this is definitely at the cost of some amount of maneuverability at least in terms of 'not killing whatever is riding him'. Obviously he can carry a huge amount of weight, a full bus-load of kids and their gear, a train car, a small boat; and doesn't even seem to need to work up to it - need that private boat brought up to the lake? Not a problem get on board and hang on...
Teleportation, he works best with high-altitude teleportation, and does need a second or so to re-orient himself after moving in this manner; generally will port to known locations only, though also has to clear these jaunts with local draconic air traffic control (yes, Twoarth actually is starting to use such a thing!) since he's quite large and will definitely disrupt smaller flighted entities on arrival
Telepathy, a clear and sharp mind, always looking for others to discuss things or hash out ideas; he has a stunningly big range for draconic communication, any telepathic dragon (or other non-humanoid) within 200 miles is easily contacted, and if he knows them from prior contact (such as those air traffic dragons) this increases to 300 miles. He can contact humanoids or non-telepaths at 10 miles, though his connection to his bond rider is strong at any distance at all
Telekinesis, used mainly as damage control or mitigation, but also to help steer his gigantic form through a complex cityscape or large forest, while he cannot technically lift himself with this power, he is quite capable of bodily hefting human-sized weights onto his shoulder if they're nearby, and he uses this power to keep them clinging to him in dangerous winds or flight situations. He can make minute changes to the direction he's heading, or get his tail away from a delicate window almost as if grabbing it with his paw
Unassisted Firebreath, what would a magnificent dragon like him be without a complement of fire? He does have good but not stellar flame capabilities, and mainly snipes at up to 1km (!!) from above, able to hit a stationary target with what equates to a molotov cocktail accurately. However his closer range or broader fire ability isn't all that great nor hot, maintaining that molotov-style spitting of fire is about as good as it gets
Parentage: Unknown, progenitor with siblings among the Lamentations' group
Origin: Cathair Kosavon, original Danachian Giveaway by Ktrenal
Other Info:
charming, ambitious, and decisive, Chewy is a good companion piece to Lethe's somewhat more domineering personality though they are hardly 'different'. As his key trait, he is charming enough to wheedle more out of people before having to actually force his paw. He's not riding anyone's coat-tails to get where he wants to be, he is the coat-tail! And while he does certainly do things in a decisive and sure manner, this doesn't come as the result of any abrupt or rash decisionmaking. He thinks before jumping in - though he does think quickly, and has access to his rider's extensive network of options to review and confer with her before doing anything.
