Lightshow What's that number again? S-E #44-282-9059 Bonded to Sholusoilseth at Cathair Fionabhainn!

BACK! Lightshow breathed in the chill air of the Danachian night, and smiled. They had been at the Cathair for more than six months, and Sholusoilseth had grown up rapidly into a beautiful colorful dragoness. Compared to the other dragons, she was of medium size, but a strong wing span and her wide tail flukes aided her in the air. Her long horns would sweep around when she gazed down at the ground. She was quite tall, compared to Lightshow or other human-sized creatures. "How's the weather up there?" Lightshow jibed. It is the same as it is where your head is, my rider. Why do you ask me things like that? "To be funny, Sholu, just that. We're going to need to find my office, and annoy the crap out of Loya." Lightshow grinned widely. I have never met Loya. Why do you want to annoy her? She sounds nice enough. "Yeah, but she's such a stick in the mud. She almost turned away the people who sent me to find you here at the Cathair." OH! Well then should we fire her? "No! No, I don't wanna do all that paperwork myself, you know." Lightshow laughed, and climbed onto the dragon's shoulders. She felt so right, up there, behind the soft fan of rainbow colored neckridge skin, even though at first it looked like someone would have a difficult time behind that. That skeletal dragon might give their rider some difficulty but not Sholusoilseth. Lightshow bid the locals a final farewell, genuinely going to miss them. We can return and visit them, you know. Sholu reminded her rider. You do not need to ever miss an appointment again! Not with me! As they rose into the air and swooped through a portal to Lightshow's chosen destination, Lightshow praised the dragoness for her accuracy and her wit. When they arrived, it was to the black hole junction of the Solos. Todd and Sara were still the only ones with dragons, there, which struck Lightshow as kind of odd. "How are you doing? No one else bonded? What's up with that?" Lightshow asked, throwing her arms around both the stunned musicians. They could hardly speak - for staring at Sholu. "She's ... really amazing," Sara said. "I mean, really." She abruptly turned to her own Hathian dragon and apologized, "I don't mean that you aren't! I never said that! Look at her, love!" She turned the dragon's head and the female snorted. Apparently the small Hathian wasn't all that impressed by the showy look of the Danachian. "Are you going to tour still?" Todd asked. "She's big enough to take your whole rig." "She is, isn't she!" Lightshow said, suddenly giddy. She'd been in this business for many, many years, and she'd hardly felt like this. The last time was when she met Hotblack Desiato, but the thrill faded even with a star of that magnitude. Not with Sholu. That would never fade, like their colors. Next |
